Chapter 98's

** In the cloud **

Luffy appeared in the clouds, then threw Mr 2's unconscious body next to the other Baroque Works agents, then he sat on his throne. Robin looked at Luffy and folded her hands before she spoke in a calm tone.

"It seems like there are 2 more fights left" Robin said causing Luffy to grin before he replied.

"There are two more left before we can stop this damn war" Luffy said in an excited tone, causing Robin to raise an eyebrow at his new captain's remarks. Luffy then closed his eyes and focused on the last three crew members.

** Zoro vs Mr. 1 **

Zoro is currently standing 15 feet away from the strongest agent in the Crocodile organization. Zoro and Nojiko had intercepted Mr. 1 and his partner before they could catch up with Nami and they decided that Zoro would face Mr. 1 while Nojiko and Nami would deal with Ms. Doublefinger.

Mr. 1 just stood there, staring at Zoro with a flat expression on his face, as if he was not threatened by Zoro's existence.

"Let's get this over with" said Mr. 1 in a bored tone, then he quickly kicked the ground and launched himself towards Zoro with his right hand outstretched. Zoro immediately pulled out his two swords and blocked Mr.'s hand. 1.

He thought he would cut off the hands of the Baroque Works agent who attacked him, but instead of hearing and feeling his sword slicing through the poor bastard's hands, Zoro heard and felt his sword smash into the metal.

When he looked at Mr. 1's hand, he saw the bottom of his fingers turned into a steel knife. Zoro's eyes widened as he saw that, causing him to use his sword and push his body away from the agent and create a distance between the two of them.

As Zoro pushed his body away, he indirectly directed Mr. 1's hand away from him and as he did that, the giant concrete pillar that was behind Zoro split into five vertical sections.

"You are devillic fruit-eaters" said Zoro, narrowing his eyes and looking at Mr. 1.

"Right," said Mr. 1 in a rude voice. "I ate the Dice-Dice Fruit that allowed me to turn my body into a sword" said Mr. 1, Zoro took out his last sword and put it in his mouth.

"You're one of them, aren't you?" Mr. 1 asked, causing Zoro to raise his eyebrows as he removed the green bandana he wrapped around his biceps. "One of the three men who took out more than 100 agents on Whiskey Peak," Mr. 1 said causing Zoro to chuckle before he stared coldly into his eyes.

"Yes, I'm one of them. Those idiots won't give up so .. we slaughtered them!" Zoro said with a sadistic expression on his face. "Now I will ask you the same thing we asked them, and if you will not give up ... I will happily dye this desert sand red with your blood!" Zoro said with a sharp look in his eyes.

Above the clouds, Luffy couldn't help but think that his bloodthirsty nature seemed to be starting to rub off on some of his crew.

"You think you can fool me!" Mr. 1 shouted with an angry expression on his face while turning both of his arms into swords and darting towards Zoro.

Zoro saw the attack coming and took a step forward and blocked both of Mr. 1's arms/knives, then Zoro used the third sword he had in his mouth to slash Mr.'s neck. 1 Because both arms are busy.

Instead of dodging the incoming attack, Mr. 1 simply stood there and turned the side of his neck into a wedge and fended off the slash. Zoro and Mr. 1 then simultaneously pushed their bodies backwards, then they both stared at each other with murderous gazes in both of their eyes.

"You know, your face looks familiar" Zoro said, staring at Mr. 1. "If I'm not mistaken, you used to be a pirate hunter from the famous West Blue and a hit man as well" Zoro declared as he stared at his opponent.

"What's going on? You were at the top of your career. Now look at you, you're just Crocodile's pet" Zoro said with a laugh, making Mr. 1 growl. "Allow me to show you the difference between you and me, and the difference in the pride of your swordsmanship versus my sword" Zoro said in a solemn voice.

"Bull Needles!" said Zoro while holding his two swords like bull horns and started darting towards Mr. 1. Mr. 1 sees Zoro running towards him and takes a defensive stance before he speaks.

"Spider Defense!" said Mr. 1 while banging both his fists simultaneously, so that the sound of two metal clashing sounded. When Zoro was within 2 feet of Mr 1, Zoro carried out a multi-hit attack on Mr. 1 with incredible speed.

He then ran past Mr. 1 and sheathed his two swords before turning around and looking at the Baroque Works agent and speaking.

"So basically, your whole body is steel, and unless I can cut steel, then I can't hurt you" Zoro said as he stared at Mr.'s back. 1.

"That's right. The cutting and hitting attacks did not work on me" said Mr. 1 as he turned and looked at Zoro.

"Then, I guess I just have to learn how to cut steel," Zoro said with a grin and he pulled out his two swords again and placed the white sword in his mouth.

"Oni Giri!" Zoro shouted as he let out his flagship attack, and tried to cut his opponent with a three-way slash. The attack affected Mr. 1 who pushed himself back. Zoro wasted no time and launched himself into the air right above Mr 1 and shouted.

"Tiger Trap!" Zoro shouted as he positioned the sword in his hand on top of the sword he had in his mouth, and swung the slash forward towards Mr. 1. Zoro's slash hit the middle of Mr. 1's body made him hit the ground with great force.

Zoro landed about 5 feet away from where Mr. 1 was hit by his attack and looked over his shoulder to see if he managed to defeat Mr. 1. To his great surprise, Zoro could see the silhouette of Mr. 1 standing upright within the cloud of dust.

"I told you, a weakling like you, would never be able to cut me," said Mr. 1 before he kicked the ground and darted towards Zoro. Zoro doesn't know why, but something tells him to duck and that's what he does.

"Spar Claw!" Mr. 1 shouted as he spun in the air and turned the bottom of his fingers into a knife and stabbed towards Zoro. Zoro who saw the attack coming, quickly dodged it just in time which caused Mr. 1's hand to stab into the ground.

Zoro then quickly stood up and raised his sword to defend against the incoming attack. Mr. 1 stood back up and turned around, then faced Zoro and then he dashed towards Zoro once more.

"Daisy Sparkling!" Mr. 1 shouted and put his hands together before lunging at Zoro who blocked Mr. 1's hand with two swords in his hand. When he blocked the Baroque Works agent's hand, the two buildings behind Zoro were split into five due to the immense force of the attack.

Zoro has trouble holding Mr. 1, not only is the strength of the Baroque Works devil fruit agent strong, but it seems that he also has great physical strength.

"Goodbye," said Mr. 1 as he took one step forward and gave one a big boost, sending Zoro flying backwards, to two collapsed buildings. Mr. 1 just stood there, watching the pieces of the building fall onto Zoro with a flat expression on his face. "Some wannabe pirates like yourself would never even dream of beating us," Mr. 1 said as he stared at the rubble.

"All your friends may be dead, your captain may have been killed by Crocodile for a long time" he said, chuckling. "And I heard that fool wants to be King of the pirates, a good joke," he sneered.

When he said that lightning exploded over his head, but Mr. 1 ignored him. Zoro, on the other hand, heard it and knew that it was his captain. Suddenly the debris right in front of Mr. 1 explodes and causes him to protect his eyes.

When he lowered his hand from before his eyes, Mr. 1 saw Zoro standing there with his three swords drawn and blood flowing from several parts of his body.

"You can say what you want about me, but I won't be a good vice-captain ...," Zoro said as he prepared to launch his flagship attack. "If I just lay there and let you insult my captain, wouldn't you?" Zoro added in a cold voice as he looked at Mr. 1 with a sharp look in his eyes.

Zoro was so focused on Mr. 1 that he did not see the pitch-black color covering all of his swords while black and purple auras shot out of his sword. Mr. 1 sees this, but doesn't think too much about it. He just thought it was one of the swordsman's weak attacks.

"Oni Giri!" Zoro yelled as he kicked the ground and ran forward towards Mr 1. In the blink of an eye, Zoro was already behind Mr. 1 with the two swords in his hand spread wide.

Zoro then stood up straight and started sheathing his swords one by one. One by one the sounds of swords entering the scabbard echoed among the empty buildings of Alubarna.

When the 'click' sounded blood spurted out from the three slash wounds on Mr. 1's body, which caused him to fall to his knees.

"Not likely ..." Mr. 1 blurted out, before spitting out a lot of blood from his mouth. His eyes then rolled back to his head, before falling unconscious with his head falling first in the sand.

"Luffy will be the Pirate King, and I will slash anyone who stands in his way" Zoro said with confidence, just as a lightning strike struck between him and Mr. 1. When the lightning disappeared, Zoro saw his captain standing there with a satisfied grin on his face.

"Well, that's pretty convincing" Luffy said of Zoro's earlier statement, then Luffy turned around and looked at Mr. 1 who was sprawled in a pool of blood that was getting bigger every second.

"Damn, I want to recruit him, but from his current appearance, he might bleed out before I can get him first aid" Luffy said as he looked at the seriously injured agent.

"Sorry about that," Zoro said with a nervous laugh that caused Luffy to look at him with a smile.

"Don't worry about that, I'm pretty proud of you," Luffy told his First Maternity. "You not only dealt with this fight well, but you also managed to awaken your haki armament" Luffy said, causing Zoro to stare at him in confusion.

"What are you talking about?" Zoro asked as he tilted his head to the side.

"Forget it, I'll explain later. Here," said Luffy as he reached into his coat and took out a bottle of sake and threw it at his vice-captain. "Go to the palace" said Luffy before he approached Mr. 1.

"And Zoro, it's the palace you're going to" Luffy said as he stopped and pointed to the giant palace in the center of Alubarna. "Keep staring at the building and go there. DON'T take your eyes off her!" The word Luffy emphasizes on the word 'don't'. "God doesn't even know which island you'll stray to if you get lost" Luffy muttered to himself.

"I won't get lost" Zoro said after he heard what Luffy muttered.

"Yes you're right, and Nami hates money," Luffy replied causing his First brow to twitch. "Focus it on that palace, please" Luffy said with a sigh.

"Ngmong-by the way, thanks for this," Zoro said as he sipped a drink from a bottle of sake. "What are you going to do to him" Zoro said as he looked at Mr. 1.

"I will close the wound," Luffy replied before he rolled the Baroque Works agent over and placed his index finger against one of the slash wounds, before using his lightning power to heat his finger and seal the wound, stop most of the bleeding.

"For his sake, I hope he doesn't have any internal bleeding" Luffy said before he placed his foot on the agent's chest and tied him up like the others. Luffy then grabbed down and held onto Mr. 1's shirt and lifted it up, then he turned around and looked at Zoro.

"See you at the end of all this" Luffy said before he turned into lightning and shot into the sky.

"Well then, it's time to stop the war" Zoro said before he began walking towards the palace with a bottle of sake in hand.
