Chapter 107's

The sun shines brightly over the skies of the country of Alabasta. All its citizens are still working to rebuild all the buildings damaged by the war. However, all their activities are interrupted by a flock of News Coos flying around the country carrying a pile of newly printed newspapers.

The flock then dropped and spread all the newspapers across the country, causing everyone to stop what they were doing and rush to pick up one of the fallen newspapers.

They all rush because usually only people who are willing to pay can get a newspaper, but only on rare occasions where an important news can affect the whole world, News Coo will spread the newspaper to the public in bulk for free.

Everyone picked up the fallen paper and immediately looked at the front page. What they saw caused their eyes to bulge out in shock. All over the world, people have had similar reactions after seeing the news in the newspapers.

At the Alubarna pier there are several Marine ships anchored there, along with a large pirate ship with a crocodile head statue on its front. The Marine confiscates Crocodile's ship and will sail back to Marine Headquarters (H.Q).

On one of the Marine's ships is a Marine captain who tries to stop Luffy from entering the Grand Line, Smoker. He sat on the deck watching his men replenish the ship's supplies.

Standing behind him was another Marine captain, a female captain with pink hair. He was the famous Hina 'Black Cage', the leader of the Black Cage Corp.

"The Straw Hat really caused a stir around the world" Hina said as she lit a cigarette.

"Well, the interview he did must have angered many high-ranking officials in the World Government" Smoker replied as he let out a puff of smoke.

"That's right, Hina was impressed," Hina replied as she walked forward and stood beside Smoker.

"What order did you get?" Smoker asked while looking at Hina.

"They told Hina to retreat," Hina replied in a frustrated tone, causing Smoker to raise her eyebrows. "Hina is upset," Hina added.

"Yes, I was expecting it" said Poker, exhaling a puff of smoke. "They'll probably offer him the Shichibukai position" Smoker added.

"The plan is like that" Hina replied, confusing Smoker.

"What's your plan?" Smoker asked as he turned around and looked at Hina. "What's changed?" She asked.

"Didn't you read the paper this morning?" Hina asked, causing Smoker to shake his head. "Hina was disappointed" Hina said with a sigh, before walking to the side of the ship and yelling at some of the marines. "You're there!" Hina yelled at a marine. "Bring me a newspaper today, now!" he shouted, causing the marine to salute and run to get a copy of the paper.

"Why don't you just tell me?" Smoker asked Hina, now starting to feel impatient.

"Hina doesn't want to ruin this news for you," Hina replied as she looked back and saw the soldier in command running towards them with the newspaper in her hand.

"Here we go, captain," said the soldier, handing over the paper to Hina, who handed it to Smoker. When Smoker picked up the newspaper and saw the headline on the front page, his eyes almost popped out of his skull. On the paper were two large photos of Luffy and Shanks side by side just below the title that read; 'THE THUNDER DEMON STRAW HAT LUFFY AND RED-HAIRED SHANKS FORM AN ALLIANCE!'

"What the hell!?" Smoker yelling.

"Hina said it" Hina said while smoking her cigarette. "Marine managed to intercept the call between the two of them last night, and during the call, they heard Red Hair offering to make an alliance between her and the Thunder Demon. Hina was nervous," Hina explained as she looked at Smoker who was still reading the news.

"You're saying Red Hair started the call AND offered to make an alliance?" ask Smoker with emphasis on pronunciation'and.'

"Right, it really surprised everyone, when Yonkou was alone of everyone who decided to ally with someone. Shanks is the only Yonkou who does not have a fleet behind him and is the most peaceful of the other three Yonkou" Hina said as she walked and sat in a nearby chair.

"So, this is why the government won't bother sending him an invitation to become a Shichibukai" Smoker stated as he continued reading the article. "Bounty Straw hat will definitely soar after this," Smoker added.

"Initially it would only rise by 50 million Berries" said Hina, drawing Smoker's attention.

"What's changed?" Smoker asked in a confused tone.

"That's on the news," said Hina while pointing to the paper. "That's the only information that scares the world government more than the alliance itself" Hina said, as Smoker continued to stare at his colleague, waiting for Hina to tell him rather than him having to read it himself.

"During the call, Shanks said that it was not an alliance between superiors and subordinates, but an alliance between ... EQUALS (equivalent)," Hina explained, the more startling Smoker was, even more so, while hearing 'Equals'.

"This alliance will cause an imbalance in the three main forces of the dunai" Smoker said, closing the paper and standing up.

"That's what the Marine and the World Government are afraid of. They were worried that the other Yonkou would act out thinking Red Hair was planning something" Hina said.

"But I still don't understand, why would they tell you to back off if Straw Hat doesn't want to join Shichibukia?" Smoker asked as he turned around and looked at Hina. The pink-haired marine captain was silent for a moment before he spoke in a low voice.

"Ten Vice Admiral was on his way," Hina retorted, causing Smoker's eyes to widen. Before Smoker could answer what Hina had just said, Tashigi, who had only heard the last part of Smoker and Hina chatter.

"Ten Vice Admiral, but that means .." said Tashigi caught the attention of both of them.

None of them had ever witnessed a Buster Call in person before, but they had all heard the story of the attack. It is said that the Buster Call was the most devastating attack used by the Marine.

This attack was the result of the doctrine of Marine Absolute Justice. The target of the Buster Call is usually to destroy anything, from a criminal or a group of criminals to an entire island that has proven to be very dangerous for the World Government.

"Who ordered this?" Smoker asked while looking at Hina. HIna smoked in her cigarette and exhaled smoke before replying.

"This cluster call was ordered by Admiral Akainu," Hina replied, causing everyone's eyes to widen, while Smoker narrowed. Smoker doesn't like Akainu very much and the way she does things.

Smoker believes that one should be judged fairly in legal terms. If someone breaks the law, then they should be punished and only they. Innocent people who did nothing wrong should not be destroyed in order for justice to be achieved, but unfortunately that is not the way Akainu does things.

Akainu is a believer that if you break the law, then you and all those affiliated with you should be punished, regardless of whether they make a mistake or not.

"What do you need, Tashigi?" Smoker asked making everyone aware of their thoughts.

"Oh, right," said Tashigi while shaking her head. "This has just arrived" Tashigi said, handing over two wanted posters to her captain. "This is the new Wanted poster of the Straw hat," added Tashigi while Smoker took 2 wanted posters from him. Smoker looked at the poster and bit his cigarette in frustration.

The first poster was the Zoro Wanted poster. The picture they used for Zoro was his picture right after defeating Mr. 1, he stood upright with blood dripping from his head while sheathing his two swords.

He showed a cold expression on his face, while glancing slightly to the right, in the direction the camera was located. Behind Zoro were several ruined buildings along with Mr. 1's body in a pool of blood.

Smoker then looks at the second Wanted poster, it's Luffy's poster. The photo of the wanted poster was still exactly the same as before, the only thing that changed was the reward.

"Captain Smoker," call Tashigi, grab the Marine captain's attention. "Look in that direction" said Tashigi, pointing at the flagpole near the pier. As Smoker and Hina look over, they see two royal soldiers hoisting a black flag onto a flagpole preparing to raise it.

When they finished putting up the flag, they started raising it. All the marines at the dock along with some passing citizens stopped what they were doing and looked towards the flag that was being raised.

When the flag was at the top of the flagpole and the wind blew, everyone present could see what the flag was, it was a straw hat pirate flag.

"Well, I'm gonna get in trouble" Smoker said, staring at the flag.

"He did say that this country is now his territory" Tashigi said, staring at the flag.

"Other things are happening around us, too" Hina said, looking around and seeing some flags with straw hat emblems on them fluttering in some buildings.

"That's not important" Smoker said as he put down the two wanted posters. "After today, Luffy's straw hats will no longer exist in the world" Smoker said. Before anyone could respond to what Smoker said, a random marine ran towards them while carrying a transponder snail.

"CAPTAIN SMOKE!" shouted the marine soldier, attracting the attention of everyone.

"What's wrong?" Smoker asked in a somewhat annoyed voice.

"There's a call from the main base, they want to talk to you," the marine replied as he held the snail closer towards Smoker.
