Chapter 77's

It had been about three days since the crew left Drum Kingdom. Luffy was currently sitting on the head of the Going Merry with Chopper sitting beside him, staring into the horizon. Luffy's entire crew was all on the other side of the ship, doing their own thing.

Nami, Nojiko, and Marianne were relaxing on the beach chair on the back deck enjoying the sunny weather. Zoro, Sanji, Gem, and Usopp are on the main deck playing cards, Johnny is on the watch pole, watching the ocean around them, Mikita and Yosaku are fishing, and, vivi and Karoo were sitting on the front deck of the ship, looking out over the ocean along with Luffy and Chopper .

After they left Drum Kingdom, the entire crew partied the night to celebrate their new crew. The next two days the rest of the crew took Chopper around the ship and taught him how everything worked, but from all that Chopper experienced, the only thing that doesn't seem to be enough for Chopper is to enjoy the ocean view.

"Wow, Luffy," Chopper said in an astonished voice. "The ocean looks like it has no boundaries!" he said as he raised his hands above his eyes and looked at the horizon.

"Yes, the ocean is indeed quite vast," Luffy replied in an indifferent tone as he poured himself a glass of whiskey. "And only pirates can go on great adventures all the time" Luffy added with a small smile.

"That's amazing!" Chopper said with stars in his eyes. "Being a pirate would definitely be awesome!" Chopper added, causing Luffy to laugh before replying.

"It's true, Chopper, '" he said before sipping his drink. "It's true" he added once again. Luffy then got up and jumped up and landed on the front deck, next to Vivi, without spilling a single drop of whiskey in his glass. Luffy then turned towards his crew and spoke.

"Alright, listen!" Luffy shouted as he walked forward and looked down, onto the main deck to attract everyone's attention.

"We'll be arriving in Alabasta any minute so this is not the time to relax" he said, causing Chopper to jump off Merry's head and stand beside Luffy.

"What is Alabasta?" Chopper asked while looking at Vivi.

"Alabasta is the state that Vivi's father controlled," Luffy said before he began walking to the main deck with Chopper, Karoo, and Vivi right behind him.

"Yes, unless there's this guy named Crocodile, who's trying to take over his father Vivi's country" Usopp added as he and the other crew put down their cards and noticed Luffy.

"And to make matters worse he was a member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea," Nojiko added as she, Nami, and Marianne descended to the main deck.

"Who are they?" Chopper asked with a confused look on his face.

"They are pirates working with the World Government" Luffy said as he leaned against the side of the ship.

"The government supports pirates?" Chopper asked in a surprised voice.

"That sounds weird, but you know, The Seven Warlords of the Sea (shichibukai) are seven powerful pirates who go around defeating other pirates one by one and therefore the government supports this shichibukai program," Luffy said, telling his crew about the Seven Warlords.

"The idea was to get the pirates to get rid of all the other pirates," Luffy finished, causing Chopper to nod his head showing he understood.

"Crocodile was considered a hero in my native place," Vivi said, causing everyone to look up to him. "He defeated all the pirates who attacked Alabasta, but his good deeds only looked good on the surface, but behind that, he was a bad person," he said with an angry expression on his face.

"Because he's a pirate" Luffy said in a flat tone.

"In reality, he manipulated the citizens of Alabasta to cause civil war, so that he could take over the country" Vivi said ignoring Luffy.

"Relax princess," Zoro said as he stood up and walked towards his captain. "I don't care if this Crocodile is a Shichibukai or whatever, he won't be able to defeat my captain," Zoro said causing Luffy to chuckle while everyone except Chopper smiled.

"Don't you think you're taking all this too lightly !?" Shouted Vivi with an angry expression on her face. It really pissed him off at how relaxed they were all.

In his head, they did not really understand the strength of a shichibukai. Sure Luffy is strong, but Luffy is not as strong as the shichibukai in Vivi's eyes.

"Luffy is indeed strong, but this is the shichibukai we are talking about! These are pirates who are considered strong enough by the World Government that the government is willing to cooperate with them! Don't you all understand that !?" Vivi yells / asks as she looks at all the crew with an angry expression on her face.

Nami was right about that, Crocodile was a small matter for her, but not because Luffy was part of the Yonko crew, but because Luffy was really very strong.

There are many people who are part of the Yonkou crew who are unable to fight the shichibukai, so just being part of the Yonkou crew does not make someone strong, you have to be strong with your own efforts.

"You-you're the crew of one of the Yonkou?" Vivi asked as she looked at Luffy with a look of disbelief on her face. Luffy just sighed and nodded.

Luffy was starting to get really tired of this princess, if not for the agreement they had, Luffy would have thrown her overboard a long time ago.

"You keep underestimating me, princess," Luffy said with a sigh. Luffy would say something else, but before he could, Chopper spoke first.

"What is Yonko?" Chopper asked while staring at everyone. No one answered him, instead all the crew looked to Luffy to explain it to Chopper.

"The Yonko or better known as The Four Emperors are the four most famous and powerful pirate captains in the world" Luffy said causing Chopper's eyes to widen.

"These four individuals were in the second part of the Grand Line known as the New World, exerting great influence and controlling dozens of other pirate crews and their own island of power," luffy's words caused Chopper to look on in awe while some of his crew also had shocked expressions on their faces.

Luffy then grinned and decided to further shock their minds again. "The one thing these four pirates have in common is .. They all have Bounty of over 1 billion berries" Luffy said with a satisfied smile on his face.

"L-over ONE BILLION BERRIES!" They all shouted in unison causing Luffy to laugh.

"That's crazy," Sanji said while the others simply nodded in agreement.

"The four of them became part of the Three Great Powers," Luffy said, causing some of the crew's shocked faces to turn confused.

"Three Great Powers?" Vivi asked with a puzzled expression on her face which caused Luffy to nod his head. "What's that?" Vivi asked while looking at Luffy.

"I've heard the term used before, but I never knew what it meant" said Gem from his position sitting on the floor.

"Yes, I think I also heard of it when I was a pirate hunter, too" Zoro added from his position next to Luffy.

"The "Three Great Powers were the three greatest military powers in the ocean. And it consists of the Marine, the Shichibukai, and the Four Yonkou," said Luffy who attracted everyone's attention. "These three forces exist as a counterweight to the forces in the world. If this balance is disturbed, the world itself can turn into anarchy, and this balance itself is very fragile, if something like one key member like the Yonkou or Shichibukai disappears that balance will instantly change," luffy's words caused everyone to nod their heads showing they understood what he was saying.

"So, let's say if one of the Yonkou dies, what will happen?" Nami asked with a curious expression on her face.

"you must remember that each Yonkou has several islands under their protection/control and the more territory you control, the greater the influence and military power you have," said Luffy paused for a moment to see if he understood.

"If one of the Yonkou dies, then all of his territory will be available for grabs," said Luffy who caused him to notice something flashed across Nami's face.

"And from there they started fighting for territory" Nami said, causing Luffy to nod his head. "I understand now. Wow, that's crazy," he said causing Luffy to laugh.

Luffy was about to say something else to his entire crew, but the screams from the watchpole stopped him and caught the attention of Luffy and everyone.

"Captain!" Johnny shouted, drawing their attention. "The pirate ship is coming our way!" he shouted while pointing to the left of the ship, causing Luffy to turn around and look, while the others stood up and waited for their orders.

"Everyone is ready for battle!" Luffy yelled causing everyone to run and prepare to fight, while Zoro stood beside his captain as he tied the bandana to his head. Luffy then looked at Chopper who did not know what he should do, so Luffy scolded him and spoke.

"you will feel how the life of a pirate, Chopper, is" Luffy said with a smile before he jumped to the side of the ship and folded his arms, seeing the pirate ship begin to approach them.
