Chapter 74's

"STOOOPPP!" Luffy shouted trying to stop the villagers. Seeing that they did not notice him, Luffy quickly turned his body into lightning and teleported in front of the tree where Chopper hid and spread his hands wide, protecting him with his back to the villagers.

When Luffy appeared in front of Chopper, the villagers who opened fire were shocked in fear, when they saw Luffy appear there. Luffy who did not want to die quickly, coated his back with the haki armament and received all their bullets.

"W-why?" Chopper stuttered with tears in his eyes. Luffy simply smiled at her before he replied.

"Because you are my friend .. and I always protect my friends," she said causing Chopper to start crying before she ran up to Luffy and hugged his leg.

"Come on, let's meet my friends," Luffy said to the crying Chopper. She hesitated a bit but after that she finally nodded her head and held Luffy's hand before they started walking back to the group.

As they walked towards the crowd, Luffy continued to give the villagers a gaze that promised a slow and painful death if they dared to try anything.

"Friends, this is Chopper" Luffy told his crew. "And he's not only a doctor but also a really cool fighter, and can turn into a deer," Luffy's words cause Usopp and Johnny to put out stars in their eyes.

"Thank you!" they said in awe as they bowed as high as Chopper and began to tell him how great he was, causing the poor deer to hue uncontrollably. Then suddenly, Dalton fell to his knees so everyone rushed up to him.

"Dalton are you okay ?!" the villagers asked frantically as they rushed to his side.

"Take him to the castle, I'll treat him" said Dr. Kureha, all the villagers took him inside the castle. Luffy and the rest of the crew then also go inside to check on Nami.

As they enter the castle, they see Nami beginning to be dragged up the stairs by Dr. Kureha while Vivi, Sanji, Nojiko, and Marianne lay on the ground with two large lumps on each of their heads.

"I think Nami tried to escape," Luffy said with a laugh before following the doctor up the stairs. When they arrive in the room, Luffy leaves and leans against the wall while he watches over the villagers taking the injured Dalton to a spare bed in the room, while Dr. Kureha puts Nami back on her bed.

Doctors then proceeded to treat Dalton's injuries while Luffy walked to a nearby window and opened it. He then called out his clouds, confusing everyone including his crew members.

Luffy then grabbed into the clouds and felt around for a moment before he took out a bag that did not seem too heavy, then he grabbed into the bag and took out some black cloth that confused everyone.

"Captain what is that?" Nami asked from her position on the bed.

"It's a stack of copies of the flag I've made," Luffy said causing Nami to nod her head even though she was still at a loss as to what she would do with the flag. Luffy then walked over to Dalton's bed and placed 7 flags on him before he spoke.

"Hanging this all over the island," Luffy said, causing everyone's eyes to widen. "This will let other pirates know that this island and country are under my protection and are part of my territory" he added while everyone looked shocked.

"Wait a minute!" Shouted Dalton from his position on the bed. "Although we thank you for taking care of Wapol for us, we can't live under a pirate flag" he said as Luffy stared with a bored expression on his face.

"This country is part of the World Government. They'll never let any of this happen" he said, causing Luffy to laugh.

"Being part of the World Government doesn't mean anything here" he said, confusing them once again. "The Fishman Island is also a member of the World Government and they are under the protection of Whitebeard. So, what's the difference?" Luffy asked as he folded his hands and leaned against the wall.

"And the important fact is, you've been part of the World Government since before Wapol left the country to become a pirate and even though he left here, he's still technically your king," luffy's words caused an angry look to appear all over the villagers' faces when Wapol's name was called.

"And when he came back you rebelled against him, he was a member of the council of the kings of the World Government. It would be considered that you are trying to start a revolution against the World Government, and I'm sure you know how they will react," Luffy's words caused Dalton to look down in contemplation while the rest of the villagers tried not to believe what Luffy said.

"How do we know what you're saying is true?" a villager who dared to ask caused the straw hat pirate captain to chuckle before a gloomy expression appeared on his face.

"What's wrong with Ohara? They want to use forbidden knowledge to destroy the world" said one woman in her mid to late forties.

"you shouldn't believe everything you read," Luffy said with a sigh. "All those people were just trying to study the history of the world and the World government killed every female man on the island without seeing if they were really part of the group studying history or not," luffy's words caused the eyes of everyone in the room to widen in shock.

no one said a single word after hearing that, the entire room went silent as they all tried to ponder what they had just heard.

"Hypothetically," Dalton said, breaking the silence. "If we agree with your protection, what do you get from this?" he asked causing Luffy to smile widely.

"Not much" he said caused Dalton to raise his eyebrows. "When my ship docks on this island, they'll get their stock replenished for free and the island will become one of the centers of the organization I'm going to build," luffy's words caused some of his crew members to stare at him with bewildered expressions on their faces, when Luffy mentioned the organization.

"What kind of organization is this?" one of the villagers asked.

"Consider it as a high-end transportation and distribution service of artifacts and products that are extremely rare" Luffy said. When Luffy said that he noticed Nami frothing from her mouth thinking about all the money there was.

"In return for all that, you will get protection from me, pirates, Marines, or anyone else for that matter, come here and cause trouble, he said, all you have to do is call me and I'll be here in the blink of an eye .. 'Truly a blink of an eye'," Luffy said causing some of the villagers to look at each other and nod, liking the idea of someone as strong as Luffy protecting them.

"And I remember you saying that this island was once the best producer of medicine in the entire Grand Line, why don't we restore this country to its former glory?" Luffy said, slightly sweetening the deal, and eventually giving a boost to the villagers.

"And how exactly are you going to do that?" Kureha asked, interested in the idea. "Well, this organization will be spread across all four seas and the Grand Line. I'm sure there are some plants, tools, and other medicines you need that are hard to come by, and I'm talking about both legal and illegal types of drugs, " luffy's words caused Doctor Kureha to smile and nod her head.

"Well, I can get it and bring it for you. Another plus of all this is the medicine you're making here. I can distribute it around the world for you" he said, causing villagers to speak among themselves about the various benefits to them and his country.

"I get it," said the doctor, "So you'll be involved with the normal daily market AND the black market," he said, causing Luffy, Gem, Mikita, and Marianne to smile.

"Yes," he answered. While some villagers do not like the fact that there will be some illegal transactions, they cannot deny the fact that it will be very profitable for their country.

"I might not like this black market problem as a whole, but I have to agree with Luffy that this will benefit your country greatly," Vivi added causing Luffy to look at her and smile.

"You're very kind to give your opinion, Princess," he said causing Dalton to look at Vivi with curiosity. "Now," Luffy spoke in a commanding tone that caught everyone's attention.

"In the absence of a king here in this country, so this gives me some form of authority and power here" Luffy said causing the villagers and Dalton to squint their eyes.

Dalton will speak but before he can Luffy speaks again. "And with that power, I appointed you Dalton as the new King of this kingdom," said Luffy causing Dalton's eyes to widen and his jaw to fall.

"W-what? Akuu?" Dalton stuttered in shock. "No, I can't be king. I-"he stopped when he was cut by Luffy once again.

"Does anyone object to this ruling?" Luffy asked looking at the villagers while ignoring Dalton. Not a single villager objected, instead they all smiled. "Then Dalton, it seems like people agree with me," he said with a laugh making Dalton look at Luffy with his mouth agape.
