Chapter 12's

The group walked for about three minutes when they finally arrived in front of the bar which seemed to Buggy and his crew had taken over. Luffy stared at the roof and shouted, "BBUUGGGGYY!" The music playing on the roof stopped and Luffy could see the silhouette of a group of people walking towards the edge of the roof.

Finally, a group of people appeared and Luffy and his crew saw Buggy standing in the middle of the group. Buggy is a slim, yet muscular blue-haired man with a clown-like appearance, he has a big red nose on his face that Luffy learned from Shanks is his real nose.

Buggy's face was filled with makeup, she had an image of crossed bones descending on her face forming an X mark; she also had two blue stripes near her two eyes, red lipstick and a jolly roger on her hat.

In the clothes of his pirate captain, he wore a white, red-striped shirt with short sleeves, white gloves, a sash on his waist like many other pirates, and a pair of loose trousers reached his calves, just above a pair of striped socks and pointy shoes.

He also has a scarf around his neck. Hanging on his shoulder was the captain's coat in furry orange. On his head, he has an orange hat with Jolly roger on it.

"Who shouted the name of the great Captain Buggy !?" Buggy asked as he stood on the edge of the building while looking at Luffy's group.

"Wow, Shanks is right you do have a big red nose," said Luffy pointing at Buggy's nose. Everyone in Buggy's crew began to sweat and looked at Buggy with a look of fear in their eyes.

"What did you say about my nose !?" Buggy shouted as he pointed to Luffy, "And how dare you mention the name of that bastard in front of me !?" Buggy asked again, even more furious than before.

"I said you had a big ....red ... nose," said Luffy making Buggy shake with anger, "And to Shanks, I am his student," said Luffy proudly.

Buggy paused for a moment before he began to chuckle as Luffy raised his eyebrows.

"Everything! Get Buggy's balls ready!" he shouted to his men. His crew brought the cannon forward and pointed it at Luffy. The rest of the crew carried a red cannonball with Jolly roger Buggy on it and placed it into the cannon.

"Now shoot Buggy's ball!" his yell caused one of his crew members to light a wick. Zoro then stepped forward and spoke.

"I can handle this captain," he said as he pulled out one of his swords. When the cannon fired Buggy's ball, it shot straight towards Luffy and the kawn-friends, but it was attacked by Zoro who managed to slice it into two halves which caused it to bolt from Luffy and Nami and crash into two buildings behind them.

Buggy looked like he was going to get angry because his precious Buggy's ball was very easily cut off but Luffy spoke before he could make a sound.

"You know Zoro, I want to avoid more damage in this city. So, how about you let me handle that buggy ball from now on. Okay?" Luffy said as he stared at the houses that were destroyed by that one ball.

Luffy then turned towards Buggy and spoke. "You know Buggy, you're not what I expected. From what Rayleigh and Shanks told me about you, I expect you to be a legendary pirate with a bounty of at least 500 million buy. But instead, you are now here, at the weakest sea, terrorizing innocent civilians. You were once a crew member at Gol D. Roger," said Luffy in a disappointed tone while surprising everyone who was there, from crew members Buggy himself to Zoro and Nami.

Buggy stared fearfully before shouting at Luffy.

"Hey! Don't tell them about it! The Marine will execute me if they find out!" Said Buggy. Before Luffy could say anything, Buggy's crew shouted in unison.

"Captain! You're a member of the Pirate King's ship !?" They all shouted in unison making Buggy almost want to kill them. Luffy raised his eyebrows at their reaction before speaking.

"You don't even tell your own crew" Luffy said as he walked forward, "You don't deserve to call yourself a captain, Buggy," Luffy said as he stood next to Zoro.

Buggy was furious, Luffy sure could see steam coming out of his ear. Buggy then turned towards his Crew and shouted the command.

"Shoot another Buggy's ball!" he screams to make his crew members load one of the special cannon balls into the cannon and fire it at Luffy.

Zoro would act but Luffy raised his hand, making Zoro stop to see what Luffy would do. Zoro then saw Luffy's arm turn pitch-black.

Luffy then did something that made everyone present widen their eyes, he caught the cannonball with his bare hands before throwing it into the air in order to explode without damaging anything.

Buggy's eyes almost popped out of his skull and his jaw dropped to the floor, but somehow he was able to make a sound loud enough for everyone to hear.

"H-haki!" buggy said, causing Luffy to grin before replying.

"Did I forget to mention that I'm from New World?" Luffy asked arrogantly as he looked at Buggy's entire crew and sent out a wave of Haki Conquorer that made everyone faint except Buggy, a man on a roller-skating bicycle and a man trying to wake an unconscious lion.

Buggy stared at his men as they fell one after another with foam in the mouth.

'The Conquerer's Haki!' Buggy thought to himself before turning towards the person wearing the rollerblading bicycle and shouting out orders.

"Cabaj! Kill them!" he shouted and the man now named Cabaji jumped off the roof with his bike and charged towards Luffy's group. Luffy turned towards Zoro and nodded.

As the fight was going on, Luffy saw Buggy's hand fly towards Zoro and quickly luffy turned his body into lightning, surprising Nami and Buggy, respectively, and teleported right over Buggy's detached hand and stepped on it with his foot.

He then looked at Buggy and spoke in a voice that had no emotions at all.

"If you want to fight someone, I'll be happy to fight you" Luffy said. Nami watched this entire incident with widened eyes. First Luffy caught the cannon balls with his bare hands, then he made everyone faint just by looking at them, then Buggy's hand broke away from his body and now Luffy turned his body into lightning.

'These people are not human, ' Nami thought before yelling at the group.

"What are you guys really!?" Nami yelled making Buggy and Luffy look at her. Luffy was the first to speak.

"I ate the devil's fruit Rumble-Rumble (goro-goro). So, I'm a lightning human," said Luffy to Buggy and Nami's surprise. Buggy then cleared his throat and spoke.

"I ate the demon fruit Chop-Chop. I'm a Chop-Chop man!" Buggy said proudly. Nami never thought the devil fruit was real, she always thought it was just a myth told by pirates.

Luffy looked at Nami's confused gaze and decided to make her think of something else.

"Hey, Nami," said Luffy, drawing Nami's attention, "Why don't you handle the guy who tried to wake the lion up. Seeing how much he wanted the lion to wake up, it seemed like it was his main weapon for fighting, So he should have been easy enough to fight. Plus he didn't look around so do it secretly or something," said Luffy, who made Nami realize from his shock, but Nami yelled at him instead.

"And why should I do that?" ask Nami. Luffy smiled at her before speaking.

"Because, if you do, I'll let you keep all the treasure we took from Buggy," said Luffy, making Nami's eyes turn into a buy mark before running into the man with the lion.

Luffy then looked at Zoro to see he had already defeated his opponent and was now sitting in one of the buildings watching Luffy and Buggy. "Help Nami if she needs it" said Luffy, Zoro nods at Luffy's intentions.

Luffy then turned towards Buggy and pulled out his sword allowing Zoro to see the sword for the first time. It was a pitch-black katana with a thin silver line that showed the sharpness of the blade.

That katana looks like it can cut through iron like a hot knife cutting through butter. Buggy then looked at the Katana and grinned.

'Stupid, didn't he hear me say I was a chop-chop man? the sword didn't work on me he thought' when he saw Luffy suddenly turn his body into lightning and appear in front of Buggy with his sword in the air.

Instead of dodging the attack, Buggy stood there motionless. Luffy noticed this and changed his swing so that it only scratched Buggy's cheek. When Buggy felt blood running down his face, he immediately checked to make sure he was hurt or just his guess, when he saw the blood on his hands he then looked at Luffy with a frightened look and spoke.

"W-how?" She asked. Luffy smiled and spoke.

"Because I'm a lightning man, I control electricity. There's no metal out there that can hold my lightning and not melt. In fact, there are only two things that can hold my lightning," Luffy surprised Buggy and Zoro, "Gold, you know, what is clear is that my sword is not made of that and ..." Luffy then grinned before continuing, "Sea stone" added Luffy, making Buggy's eyes widen.

Luffy then touched the tip of the sword to Buggy's chest causing Buggy to fall to the ground feeling as if all the energy in his body was leaving him.

Luffy then channeled his electricity through his sword causing it to ignite with electric blue sparks before he spoke.

"Bind!" luffy's exclamation caused three ropes made of electricity to emerge from the tip of his sword and then wrapped around Buggy's body to tie him in place.

She then walks towards Cabaji and does the same to him and then the man Nami fights. Luffy then looked towards Buggy who was struggling to untie and spoke.

"There's no need to bother trying to escape," he said, "The electric lightning was filled with haki that effectively neutralized the power of your devil fruit," Luffy said, causing Buggy's eyes to widen in shock.

He was about to scream but Luffy spoke before he could. "You know, I have an ability that no other logia user has. I can put haki into my element without needing that element to connect with me," Luffy said puzzlingly to Buggy.

Luffy saw Buggy's confused expression and decided to explain. "For example, Marine Admiral Aokiji is a logia Ice user and he can put haki into his ice, but he has to touch his ice to do that and as he releases his ice, he must touch it, haki also disappeared from the ice. I was on the other hand, when I removed my electricity from my body, my haki was still there," Luffy said to Buggy's surprise.

Luffy then turned to his crew and spoke, "We'll cash in their bounty then head to Gecko Island," Luffy said, getting a response from Zoro.

"Why are we going there?" Zoro asked. Luffy smiled and spoke.

"To pick up our sniper," replied Luffy.
