Chapter 22's

Everyone stopped staring upwards when they heard Zoro's voice cry.

"LUFFY!" Zoro shouted, attracting the attention of everyone especially Luffy and Mihawk who were separated, just as they heard Zoro's voice. Luffy turned his head towards Zoro and saw him lying on his back with one hand holding his only remaining sword in midair.

"Luffy, can you hear me?" Zoro asked with a trembling voice. Luffy sighed before he chuckled and sheathed his sword, and he replied with a smile.

"Yes, I hear you," said Luffy. Zoro took a breath before starting to speak again.

"I'm sorry that you're worried" Zoro said, causing Luffy to smile. "If I don't become the greatest swordsman in the world, you'll be in a dilemma right now, right?" Zoro said before he coughed up blood, causing the bounty hunter duo beside him to yell at him to stop talking and conserve his energy, which Zoro naturally ignored, and he kept talking to Luffy.

"I'm not .. I'll never be ... LOSE AGAIN!" Zoro shouted with tears streaming down his face. "Until I defeat him and become the greatest swordsman in the world, I will never be defeated again!" When Zoro said that, Mihawk and Luffy's faces let out a wide smile after hearing Zoro's words.

"Do you have a problem with that ... PIRATE KING !?" Zoro yelled /quired. Luffy chuckled to himself before he replied.

"It doesn't matter at all" Luffy said. Luffy then turned towards Mihawk and saw him standing there with his hands folded and his sword already tied to his back. Luffy was about to talk to her but Mihawk looked the other way and spoke first.

"It's too early for you to die. My name is Hawk-Eye Mihawk You are strong but there is still much to learn. No matter how many years it takes I will hold this title as the greatest in the world and will be waiting for you. Until that day comes you must hone your skills, then ... FIND ME RORONOA ZORO! " The word Hawk-Eye surprised everyone there including Luffy.

Hawk-Eye then turned towards Luffy and spoke. "Is your goal still to be the Pirate King?" She asked. Luffy grinned before he replied

"You already know the answer to that question," Luffy said causing Mihawk to laugh before he turned around to walk back to his ship. As he walked away, Luffy spoke once more.

"By the way," he said, drawing Mihawk's attention, "If you meet with Shanks, tell him that I'll enter the Grand Line in a week's time," luffy said before turning around and returning to the floating restaurant. Mihawk turned around and continued walking to his ship.

As he was about to reach his boat, the sound of someone landing on a ship wreckage rang out, attracting the attention of Mihawk and everyone. Mihawk looked over his shoulder and saw Don Kreig standing there in his golden armor.

"Hawk Eye," Kreig said making Mihawk turn to look at her. "I thought you came here to kill me" Kreig said. Mihawk looked at him with a bored expression on his face before he replied.

"Yes, but I've had enough fun for today. So, I'm going home to rest" he said before turning around and starting to walk back to his ship. As he walked back to his boat, Kreig spoke again.

"It's a pity that I just started" Krieg said, taking out two pistols and activating a hidden weapon hidden under his armor and pointing it all at Mihawk. Just as he was about to pull the trigger, a bolt of lightning shot out from the sky and struck Kreig which caused him to fall lying down with a smoky body.

Everyone stared at the smoky figure of Krieg with wide eyes, before they looked back at the cloudy sky.

"It's as if the gods themselves are trying Kreig," Patty said in a deeply incredulous voice as she gazed up at the sky. Luffy looked at all of them with an amused expression on his face.

"You know I can handle that Luffy. I don't need your help" Mihawk said, causing everyone to look at Luffy with dinner plate-sized eyes. Luffy laughed before replying

"I know, but I had a deal with the old man," he said getting a nod from Mihawk before he stepped onto his ship and sailed away. After Mihawk left, Luffy then turned his attention to Usopp and the others who had just finished dressing up Zoro's wounds.

"Usopp," Luffy caught his eye. "The four of you soon after Nami. I will catch up with you after I have successfully recruited the Chef here," said Luffy, making Usopp stand tall and salute him before he replied.

"You can count on the great captain Usopp to get his ship back" Usopp said before the four of them sailed after Nami. Luffy then looked at Zeff and spoke.

"I hope our deal still goes through?" Luffy asked with a laugh and got a nod from Zeff. "Good," said Luffy, before he turned around and looked towards Kreig who was now trying to stand up.

Luffy turned his body into lightning, which shocked everyone, and then teleported himself in front of Kreig. When Kreig stood up straight, he saw Luffy standing right in front of him, looking at him with a bored expression on his face.

Kreig stared back at Luffy with an expression of hatred before he raised one of his pistols and pointed it at Luffy's head. The chefs started to worry about Luffy, while the pirates smiled thinking that their captain was going to kill the straw hat boy.

Although Kreig pointed a gun at his head, Luffy's expression did not change, he still had the same bored expression on his face, which made Kreig even more annoyed.

One of the chefs was about to yell at Luffy to step aside but before he could, Kreig pulled the trigger. What happened next shocked everyone, even Kreig and Zeff. The bullet shot towards Luffy right between his eyes, yet the bullet was seen piercing through the head just like it was a ghost.

When Kreig saw this, he staggered back a few steps in surprise before pulling the trigger again and again only to get the same thing as before. dropping his weapon, Kreig started talking while stuttering.

"You ... eaters .. devil fruit," he said surprised everyone who was there. The people around Luffy started muttering about having heard of demon fruits and myths about demon fruits. Luffy simply ignored them all and focused on Kreig regaining his composure and starting to speak.

"It doesn't matter whether you eat the devil's fruit or not" Krieg said, causing everyone to stop and Luffy raised his eyebrows curiously. "I just need to throw you in the water and make you drown" he said before he stretched his hand behind him and pulled out a spear that had two large golden plates, like the one on his shoulder.

Kreig then rushed towards Luffy and tried to hit him on the chest, but Luffy stepped aside and grabbed the wooden stick of the spear with his left hand and held it to prevent Kreig from being able to pull it.

"You are without a doubt the biggest idiot I have ever met," Luffy said in a bored tone while holding a spear.

"What are you saying, boy !?" ask the angry Kreig. Luffy only sighed before he replied.

"What kind of idiot pairs a spearhead with 2 gold plates ON A WOODEN STICK!" Luffy shouted before he smashed the wooden stick with his left hand causing Kreig's eyes to widen.

As the tip touched the solid surface, the spear's eyes exploded and threw the pirate group into the water. Luffy then looked at Kreig who had a look of fear visible all over his face.

Faster than anyone who could blink Luffy grabbed Kreig's face and smashed his head into the wooden floor. Luffy then stood up and placed his right foot on Kreig's chest, before he spoke.

"You have to be careful when using all these metals, Kreig," Luffy said in a voice that gave everyone goosebumps. "You can be struck by lightning" Luffy said before enveloping his entire body with electricity and electrocuting Kreig.

Everyone who saw this incident could clearly see that Kreig was in a lot of pain and he tried to scream, but no sound came out. Gin looked at his captain with wide eyes, he wanted to help his captain, but fear did not let him move from where he was.

Luffy shocked Kreig for about four minutes before he finally stopped the flow of lightning and stepped away from Kreig and started walking back towards the chefs.

Everyone stared at Kreig to see if he would rise again, but with one look everyone knew. Don Kreig, pirate admiral, and ruler of East Blue is dead.

When Luffy walked back to the restaurant, he stopped and turned towards the remaining crew of Kreig and looked at them with cold eyes that caused them to flinch under his gaze.

"I advise all of you to get out of here before I kill you too" Luffy said causing them to scramble and run in search of the pieces of the damaged ship to use as ships. When Luffy arrived at the baratie, Zeff was the first to speak.

"You're gonna let them go?" She asked. Luffy chuckled and smiled at her before she spoke.

"A dead man won't be able to tell you anything" he said before he walked into the restaurant. When he said that Zeff started laughing.

"That's right," Zeff said before he followed Luffy to the restaurant along with the other chefs.

moments later Luffy sat at one of the tables in the restaurant, eating a bowl of soup with Sanji and all the chefs. It had been a few hours since Luffy had defeated Kreig and everything seemed rather calm.

Other than a few pirates who chose to give up on their pirate lives and turn into waitresses at the restaurant, everything felt peaceful. That was until he heard Patty yell.

"Who made this soup !?" he asked loudly. Sanji got up from his seat with a smile on his face and walked over to Patty before he spoke.

"I made it" he said with a smile. "Isn't that the best soup you've tasted?" Sanji asked. However, what Patty said next wiped the happy smile off her face and replaced it with an angry frown.

"More like the worst soup I've ever tasted" Patty said before she threw the bowl of soup on the ground. Sanji then darted and pulled Patty's collar and yelled at her.

"What did you say, asshole?" He asked angrily. Before Patty could answer, some chefs started commenting on the soup.

"Yes, this is disgusting" said one chef.

"It feels like trash in a bowl to me," said another. it continued like that for a while before every chef in the restaurant shouted at Sanji because of how disgusting the soup was.

Luffy was very confused, he wondered if he was eating the same soup that everyone was tasting. He looked next to Patty, at the pot that was on the table to see if it was the same pot where the food came from. What surprised Luffy was that it was the same pot as the origin of his food.

So, he took his spoon and took his soup again, while ignoring the quarrel that had occurred between Sanji and the chefs behind him. The soup feels great to Luffy. It reminded her of the home cooking Makino used to cook for her when she was a child on Dawn Island.

Luffy was out of his memory by what sound Luffy used to hear when Zeff's wooden leg hit the floor as he walked. The voice caught the attention of everyone in the restaurant, they all looked at the stairs to see Zeff walking down the stairs with a spoon in his hand.

He walked straight to the soup pot on the table before he stuffed his spoon into the pot and picked up the soup. All the commotion stopped, the people who were fighting and eating, stopped and looked at Zeff to see what he was going to say about the soup.

In Luffy's mind if anyone could really judge the soup and be right about it, was Zeff. Zeff stuffed a spoonful of soup into his mouth and stirred it in his mouth to get a good taste before he gave his opinion.

"This soup is disgusting" Zeff said before spitting on the floor. When he said that Luffy could only gape. He would take a sip of his whiskey before stopping and looking at the glass in his hand and thinking within himself.

'Did drinking too much whiskey burn my senses?' he thought to himself before shrugging his shoulders and continued drinking his whisky back and enjoying the taste. He then turned his attention to Sanji who was walking over to Zeff with an angry expression on his face.

"What are you saying, you old geezer !?" Sanji asked/ shouted. Zeff folded his hands before answering.

"You've heard me" he said before turning around and starting to walk back to the kitchen. As he walked he looked back from his shoulder and spoke to Sanji once again. "It's better that you join that kid's pirate crew, because I don't need a lame chef like you working here" Zeff said.

Luffy, who saw how much the comment had an effect on Sanji, decided to add his comment. So, he got up while carrying his bowl and walked over to the pot and started picking up soup again. As she served herself for a while, Luffy talked to the entire restaurant.

"Kalain knows, I don't know what you guys are talking about," Luffy said, getting all their attention. "It's the best soup I've tasted in years" she said, making Sanji smile. Sanji then looked at Luffy before looking back at Zeff and speaking.

"Alright then," said Sanji making everyone look at him. "If you bastards can't appreciate good cuisine then I'll go to a place where my cooking will be appreciated" he said before turning towards Luffy who was walking back to his desk.

"You got a chef, Luffy," he said before walking out of the restaurant. When he said that, Luffy smiled at the fact that he had just found his cook, now all he needed to do was resolve the matter of his navigator.
