Chapter 14 (bonus)

After walking up the hill four about five minutes later, the group arrived at the mansion where Usopp led them around the side of the fence and pulled a piece of the fence making a hole large enough for someone to pass through. Nami looked at Usopp and spoke.

"Why do I feel that you are not welcome here, Usopp," he said making Usopp laugh nervously before replying.

"Actually, a waiter here doesn't like me very much. So, I had to sneak in to talk to Kaya," he said. Luffy and Zoro could not help but laugh making Usopp's face flushed with embarrassment.

After Luffy and Zoro calmed down, the group went through the holes in the fence one by one and entered the courtyard of the house. The group then stood under a rather large tree beside the house.

Usopp leaned over and picked up a pebble, then began to climb the large tree. He threw a pebble at one of the windows of the house, then the window suddenly opened and a smiling girl brightly poked her head out and spoke to Usoop.

"Usopp, are you coming?" he said happily. Usopp smiled back before replying.

"Of course I came, and I brought some friends who came here to join the Usopp Pirates and meet you," said Usopp pointing to Luffy and his crew who were standing at the bottom of the tree.

"Rich, it's Luffy, Nami, and Zoro" he said, pointing one-on-one as he spoke. "And friends, this is Rich," When he said that, Luffy and his crew waved at Rich, making him smile and wave back.

Kaya is a slim and pale-skinned girl with blond hair. She has wide brown eyes that have a lighter color, and she wears a long white dress. Rich looked at Luffy and spoke with a warm smile on his face.

"It's nice to meet you all" he said. Luffy smiled at her and then spoke in a friendly tone of voice, where his crew did not even know Luffy could talk like this, they only this time saw Luffy's attitude like this during the trip..

"It's good to see you too, Miss Rich. However, this time I met you more for business than for social," Luffy said, making Kaya raise an eyebrow before answering.

"And what kind of business do you want to talk to me about?" Rich asked. Luffy took a step closer to home before he spoke again.

"We got the info that we could buy a boat from you" Luffy said as he looked at Kaya. Kaya watched closely before turning around in her room and starting to shout someone's name.

"Merry!" he shouted, "Can you come here for a moment." Ten seconds after he shouted, Luffy heard someone open the door to his room. Luffy noticed when a strange-looking man came and stood next to Kaya and spoke.

"You called Miss Rich?" He asked as he looked at Kaya, unaware of the person outside. Rich smiled at him before he answered.

"Yes. I want you to meet Usopp's friend" he said before pointing out at Luffy and his crew. "This is Luffy and his friends. He was interested in buying a boat. Can you take him to the dock and show him our ship?" kaya asked, making Merry look at the group with a somewhat skeptical look first before nodding.

Merry then exited the room and headed outside where Luffy and his crew were, wanting to take them to the dock. Merry arrives outside and meets the group and talks to them.

"If you all follow me, I'll take you to the ship" he said. Luffy turned towards Nami and Zoro and spoke.

"How come you guys stay here and accompany Kaya with Usopp while I inspect the ship" he said. Zoro nodded following his captain, while Nami also nodded her head because she thought it would be boring to just look around the ship.

Luffy then looked towards Merry and nodded his head slightly telling her to walk first. Merry then guides Luffy to the back of the mansion where they have their own private dock for them to use.

At the dock, Luffy saw a beautiful ship docked, Luffy looked towards Merry and saw her with a proud smile on his face as he looked towards the ship. As they got closer, Merry turned to Luffy and spoke.

"This is The Going Merry" he said, pointing to the ship. "It was a ship that I built myself," he said proudly. Luffy turned around and looked at the ship, inspecting it every inch.

The Going Merry is a caravel-class ship designed by Merry and has a central rudder. The ship's armament consisted of four cannons, one on the bow pointed forward, one on the stern, and two pointed to both sides and to complete them all, at the head of the ship was the head of a sheep.

After inspecting all parts of the ship, Luffy returned and stood next to Merry once again and spoke.

"That's a beautiful ship" he said, looking at Merry, "how much?" Luffy asked. Merry let out a thoughtful expression for a few seconds before she replied.

"80 million," he said, surprised Luffy by how cheap it was. "We don't use it very often to sail around like we used to and he's just sitting here collecting dust. So, if you're wondering why the price is that cheap, that's why," Merry said causing Luffy to nod his head.

"I see," said Luffy before he walked over to the ship and placed his hand on the hull before he spoke. "However, I was planning on going to the Grand Line, and a ship like this would not survive the Grand Line if it were the current state," Luffy said making Merry nod his head in an understanding manner.

Merry was about to speak but Luffy spoke before he could. "I'll pay 100 million for this ship if you can do some upgrades for this ship" Luffy said, surprising Merry.

"And what kind of upgrades do you have in mind?" Merry asked. Luffy looked at her and spoke.

"I noticed this ship doesn't have a captain's room, I want you to add one like that" said Luffy and Merry nodding his head.

"I will also check the wood on this ship to see if anything needs to be replaced. This won't make it last on the Grand Line, however, it will extend its life a little longer, allowing you to find a stronger ship" Merry said. Luffy nodded before speaking again.

"And how long will it take to upgrade this ship?" She asked. Merry brought his finger closer to his chin and thought for a moment before replying.

"About two weeks or so. I'll ask the workers to work on it right away," Merry said making Luffy smile at her before she replied.

"I'd really appreciate that, thank you," Luffy said before the two of them walked back to the mansion to meet the rest of the crew. As the crew begins to look, Luffy and Merry notice that there is some sort of commotion going on between Usopp and a well-dressed man whom Luffy considers to be a waitress who dislikes Usopp.

Luffy looked at Merry as they walked there and spoke in an amused voice, "I think it's the waiter that Usopp said doesn't like him?" he asked causing Merry to laugh before replying.

"Yes, it's Klahadore" said Merry. As they get closer, they can hear Klahadore insulting Usopp and his father, Yasopp, which causes Luffy's smile to immediately disappear from his face.

Luffy noticed Usopp couldn't bear to hit the man, and decided to let his presence be known to the people around by talking.

"You know, some people might think you're tired of living for daring to insult Yonko's crew members" Luffy said as he and Merry drew closer.

Klahadore and Kaya turned to look at him with wide eyes. Klahadore quickly regained his composure and spoke to Luffy.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't do anything like that" he said, staring at Luffy. Luffy walked up to her and looked into her eyes and spoke once more.

"Dad Usopp was a sniper and left-handed from Shanks the Red Hair" Luffy said, surprising everyone there, including Usopp. Usopp knew his father was in Shanks' crew, but he never thought his father would be third under Shanks' command.

Usopp went out of his mind as Luffy spoke once more. "So, let's be honest here, do you really want to make a Yonko angry, BUTLER?" Luffy said emphasizing his voice when mentioning the butler.

Luffy could easily see in Klahadore's eyes that he was afraid even though he kept his face calm and emotionless.

"Why indeed?" The waiter said to surprise Luffy. "Even if he is the son of a Yonko crew member, I strongly doubt that a Yonko from the Grand Line would come here to East Blue for something like this," Klahadore said arrogantly. Luffy then chuckled that made the servant's back feel cold before speaking.

"Why Shanks should come when I'm already here," Luffy said before pulling his coat back and lifting it over his red shirt on the left, made everyone there see his stomach which had 8 boxes of abdominal muscles. However, the thing that attracted everyone's attention was not her stomach, but the tattoo that was on the left side of her abdomen.

When Klahadore saw him, he immediately started sweating. On the side of Luffy's belly is a Jolly Roger tattoo, but not just any Jolly Roger, It's a Jolly Roger from The Red Hair Pirate.

"Th-that ..." Klahadore stuttered as he pointed at Luffy's tattoo. Luffy smiled before speaking.

"Jolly Roger from The Red Hair Pirate, right," luffy said before he pulled his shirt back and looked towards his crew to see Zoro grinning on his face thinking about how strong his captain was while Nami had her face flushed a little as she recalled Luffy's stomach.

Luffy turned to Klahadore and spoke once more. "You know, Shanks is arguably my foster father because he and his crew raised me for the last ten years, and I ended up being part of his crew as well, which is why I had that tattoo," luffy said before he turned to Kaya and spoke.

"I'll get the boat, Miss Kaya. I talked to Merry about some of the things I wanted to do on his ship and we agreed on the price. I'm sure Merry will tell you everything" said Luffy, turning his back to go with his crew and Usopp.

As Luffy walked away, he turned around and looked at Klahadore and spoke in a cold tone, "If I ever hear you insulting one of the members of The Red Hair Pirate again, I will kill you with my own hands, Butler," said Luffy before walking away with his crew.

After leaving Kaya's house, the group was currently walking down the hill to return to the village. While walking, Zoro realized that Luffy was thinking hard and decided to ask his captain what was wrong.

"You okay, Captain?" he asked making Luffy out of his deep thoughts. Luffy shook his head slightly before turning to Zoro and speaking.

"Huh?" that's all Luffy said showed that he didn't pay attention to what Zoro said. Zoro raised his eyebrows and spoke again.

"I asked if you were okay. You seem to be thinking about something" she said, making Luffy nod his head before he answered.

"Yes right. There was something about Butler that made me feel familiar, but I couldn't figure out what it was" she said in a frustrated voice. Zoro then began to think and try to help his captain figure out what was known about the butler, but he also could not think of anything. Nami who saw the two of them sighed and spoke to them.

"Maybe you're thinking too much about it" Nami said, drawing their attention. "Why don't we check into one of the local inns and rest. Maybe it'll help you figure it out," he said making Luffy nod in agreement.

Usopp took the three of them to a local inn and Luffy checked everyone inside and ordered dinner for the three of them and Usoop before they all went to bed that night.

"Maybe a good night's rest will help me figure out why that butler feels so familiar" Luffy thought before he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
