Chapter 31

After sailing for five minutes the group arrived at the base marine island. The base was a small island completely occupied by the marines, there were no civilians there at all.

The ship then docked and Nezumi began to lead them out of the ship and began to walk inwards towards the base. As they made their way towards the base, a group of marines came out of the base to greet their captain.

"Captain Nezumi!" A marine shouted as he saluted his captain. "Welcome back, sir!" he shouted once again causing Luffy's eyes to twitch. Nezumi sighed and saluted back to his men before he spoke.

"OK, okay, stop yelling" Nezumi said in a tired tone. Luffy was impressed with his acting. So far, none of his men have been suspicious. "I have a job for you" he said, leaving the marines there excited.

"These gentlemen are our guests, and they're in need of gunpowder and ammunition. Please take them to the warehouse and give them everything we have," he said, surprising the marines there.

"Everything, Sir?" asked the marine in a surprised tone. Nezumi was angry and shouted at the marine.

"Am I talking with a stutter, Warrior !?" Nezumi asked/yelled causing the marine to startle before he started apologizing.

"No, Sir! Sorry, Sir! We'll take care of it soon, sir!" The Marine shouted before turning towards Sanji and Zoro and spoke. "If you want to follow me we can leave now," he said causing Sanji and Zoro to nod before they started following the marine.

Luffy turned towards Nezumi and spoke in an amused tone.

"You have a noisy and energetic crew," Luffy said causing Nezumi to sigh before he spoke in a tinge of fatigue.

"You don't know," he said as he rubbed his temple before he straightened his body and spoke in an angry tone towards Luffy. "Let's hurry up and get this over with, pirate," he said, causing Luffy to nod his head before the two of them walked into the building.

Luffy summoned a small lightning cloud to put all the money and also to return to Nami island. The cloud followed the two of them behind Luffy, as they entered the building and started down the stairs towards the basement.

When they finally reached the basement, they arrived at a long hallway and at the end of the passage Luffy could see a giant safe with a door as big as the hall itself. K

the eduya walked towards the end of the hallway and Nezumi then walked to the door and placed the key into the keyhole before he walked over to a button in the safe, what Luffy guessed as a combination lock, and then he walked over to the door, Nezumi began inserting the combination before walking back to the key and turning it four times.

On the last lap, Luffy heard a click from the safe, then Nezumi walked to the right side of the safe and grabbed the lever and pulled it. the large door of the safe opened and inside Luffy could see a pile of gold at least 10 feet high.

Luffy was really surprised, he did not expect the marine here to have this much money. He turned towards Nezumi and spoke.

"How many there?" Luffy asked in a surprised tone.

"500 million last time I checked," he said, surprising Luffy.

"Where did you get all this money?" Luffy asked in a tone of disbelief. "I mean, we're in the East Blue of all places, if it's the Grand Line, I'll understand, but this is East Fucking Blue" Luffy said.

"We collected this in 5 years. Normally, we would need to send half of it to the main base, but we kept telling them that we only had that much, and the rest to keep the base going. The fact that we were in the East Blue made them believe in us" he said, causing Luffy to laugh.

"Alright," Luffy said before moving aside and letting the lightning enter the vault. "After this you don't have to lie anymore" Luffy said in an amused voice that caused Nezumi to growl.

The cloud then entered the iron vault and began to enlarge its size. Not long after that cloud covered the entire iron vault itself, swallowing everything inside the iron vault.

"What's he doing?" nezumi asked as he stared at the cloud.

"The cloud kept everything in this iron safe inside itself" he said, surprising Nezumi. A minute later the cloud began to shrink until it was twice as large before the cloud entered the storage room.

After shrinking, the cloud came out of the vault showing the two of them what was left inside. Nezumi and Luffy looked inside the vault and saw one gold coin lying on the floor.

"I think our business is over" he said, causing Nezumi to growl. He would not try and attack this pirate, he had seen his fight against Arlong.

This pirate single-handedly slaughtered the entire Arlong crew before he toyed with Arlong and then destroyed Arlong Park with just one strike.

He knew if he tried to attack Luffy, he would meet a painful death. Nezumi chooses to play it safe, he decides to let this pirate out of the base, then he will contact the Main Headquarters (HQ) Marine.

"If you want to follow me, we'll be right out. I'm sure your friend is done with their business" he said before starting to walk through a different passageway from the first one they passed.

"This is not the way we came," Luffy said as he narrowed his eyes at Nezumi.

"Yes, I know that. The door of the stairs could not be opened from the inside and no one was allowed to open from the outside to let someone out. Whoever enters through that door must go through another door in the prison section of the base" Nezumi said.

Luffy simply shrugged his shoulders before following his walk through the hallway. At the end of the hall, they turned left, then they passed through rows of prison cells. Some of the cells were empty while some had prisoners inside.

As they walked, the prisoners shouted at Nezumi and Luffy and it started to upset Luffy. Finally unable to stand their nonsense, he sent lightning strikes out of his body to every cell that shocked every prisoner.

When they reached the end of the hall, they passed the stairs leading to the door, Luffy would start climbing the stairs but was stopped because a cry for help came from his right.

"HELP ME!" a woman screams, causing Nezumi and Luffy to look to the right. What Luffy saw made his blood boil. Lying on the ground in the middle of the cell was a woman in torn clothes revealing her underwear, her face swollen showing that she was beaten, her entire body was covered in cuts and bruises, and her eyes were filled with tears.

Standing above the woman the three marines looked at her with lecherous smiles on their faces and lustful gazes in their eyes.

"Silence, ******!" one of the marines said before grabbing her hair and pulling her as tall as her body. "No one will save you. You're our little toy that we can use as we please" he said before pushing it back to the ground.

One of the marines looked out of the cell and saw Nezumi and Luffy staring at them. He immediately straightened up and saluted Nezumi.

"Sir!" he said while saluting, attracting the attention of the other two. When they saw their captain, they both saluted as well. Nezumi smiled and nodded before continuing walking up the stairs ignoring the woman's screams.

As he took one step on the stairs to start climbing upwards, a thunder rang out outside which caused the entire building to tremble. Nezumi immediately turned pale and turned his head and saw Luffy staring at the three marines with fury in his eyes, while electric blue sparks surrounded his body.

"You marines have the courage to call us pirate scum and this is what you do to poor helpless women," luffy said in an icy tone that made the fur sit all the marine there creeps, as well as every prisoner there.

Luffy then pulled out his gun and fired three shots.

* DOR*DOR**DOR*DOR *

Three electric energies shot out from his weapon and hit the three marines right in their heads, causing them all to die on the floor. Luffy then turned towards Nezumi and spoke.

"You Marines are far worse than the bastards themselves," he said before he stretched out his left arm and a rope made of listirk bolted and wrapped around Nezumi as he tried to escape causing him to fall with his head falling first on the stairs breaking some of his teeth.

Luffy then walked up to the wall and placed his palm on the wall, then he inserted Electricity through the wall into the entire basement. Three seconds later all the cell doors opened and the prisoners started running thanking Luffy as they ran past him.

Luffy then walked into the cell where the woman was, The woman turned her back to Luffy, crying as she stared at the dead marine on the ground. As Luffy stood right behind him, Luffy noticed something on his left shoulder that made him even more furious.

It was the Nail of the Flying Dragon, the mark the Tenryubitos gave their slaves. Luffy immediately took off his captain's coat and placed it around the girl.

The woman turned around and saw Luffy looking at her with a warm smile on his face. "You'll be safe now" Luffy said causing her to cry again. Luffy then leaned over and carried her in bridal style which caused the Woman to let out a cry of 'eeppp', Luffy carried her out of the cell and then placed her on the cloud, before he started walking up the stairs with a cloud carrying the girl following behind.
