Going Merry, who was sailing around the coast of the island, is now heading to the house of a man named Cricket. Luffy sat on his throne in silence the entire way, with an emotionless expression on his face, but all his crew could tell that Luffy was furious just by looking at the look in his eyes.
Another thing that can show his anger is the black clouds covering Jaya Island, random flashes of flaming followed by a very loud lightning sound.
Zoro and Robin have explained what happened as they searched the city of Jaya for the entire crew. They weren't too surprised by Luffy's actions, however, the thing that shocked them all was the fact that they had coincidentally met Blackbeard, who was a real, the man who was being hunted by Ace and also the one who plundered Chopper's island.
All of the crew temporarily preferred to do their activities on the front of the ship, leaving Luffy alone behind. As for Luffy, he did his best to try and control his anger.
The thing that made Luffy upset was the fact that he let Teach escape before he could teach him a lesson. Thatch was one of the people who took care of Luffy while he was on Whitebeard's ship, he already felt annoyed when he was told that he was not allowed to kill Teach, but now the chance to beat him to death was missed.
"Captain!" yelled Usopp, making Luffy out of his grief. “We're approaching the pirate ship! "She shouted while pointing to the front of the ship. Luffy stared at the approaching ship with narrowed eyes.
"Isn't that the earlier Salvagers' monkey ship?" luffy said in a bored tone, not caring about a bunch of random pirates.
"No, but the ship was indeed somewhat similar," Sanji replied, causing Luffy to sigh and rise from his throne and start walking to the front of the ship. When he reached the front of the ship, he saw a sizable ship with a giant tree on it blocking their way.
"I don't have time for this, get them out of our way immediately" Luffy said in a bored voice.
"Hey, you!" there was the sound of someone shouting from the foreign ship, drawing their attention. "Stop what you're doing and watch!" a voice from the direction of the ship.
As Luffy and the others stared towards the ship to see who was speaking, they saw a large man who looked like an orangutan with long green hair. "Who and what are you all doing here" the man said as he sat on his own throne.
"You are a very ugly creature" Luffy said in a low voice.
"What did you say!?" the man shouted back to Luffy. "Don't you know who I am !?" She asked.
"No, I don't know, nor do I care who you are" Luffy replied. "I'm in a bad mood right now, and you're blocking my way. If you don't want to die, I suggest you move that piece of trash away from my path" Luffy said threateningly.
"How dare you!" the man growled. He was about to say something else, but before he could one of his men caught his attention.
"U-um, boss," call his men, who get his attention.
"WHAT!?" the big man shouted at his men.
"He ... he .. the Thunder Demon," said the man as he pointed towards Luffy. "He ... he .. was the one who managed to defeat Crocodile and form an alliance with one of the four Yonkou," said the man with fear mixed in his voice. The big man who turned out to be a captain quickly turned his head towards Luffy and began to sweat a little while staring at the pirate who was wearing a straw hat.
"Why are you all still standing there!" the man shouted to his men. "Didn't you hear it! We're blocking his way!" he shouted, making all his men salute their captain and immediately rush to get ready to move the ship.
The captain of the ship then looked back at Luffy and said. "We're sorry for the inconvenience" he said with a big smile as he scratched the back of his head. Luffy did not say anything, he simply turned around and walked back to his throne while the Going Merry continued sailing past the pirate group.
"Well, that's pretty easy" Nojiko said as they sailed past the alien pirates.
"It looks like making an alliance with one of the four Yonkou makes our journey a lot easier" Sanji said as he lit a new cigarette.
"It's scary for Luffy himself" Chopper added, making everyone laugh. The Going Merry continued sailing around the north coast of Jaya before seeing what appeared to be a palace on the seafront.
"Whoa! That's incredible!" Usopp and Chopper shouted as they looked at the palace.
"He lives there!?" Shouted / asked Usopp in amazement. "It's a palace!" he added while shouting.
"I've never seen such a big house before" Nojiko commented as she stared at the palace-like house. "The guy named Mont Blanc Cricket must be very rich" Nojiko added. Zoro snorted as he looked at the house.
"Look closer" Zoro said in a mocking voice.
"It's not a palace" Robin said as she folded her arms and walked to the deck.
"It's just a clone, the actual house is only half that size," Zoro said as he walked toward the anchor, picked it up and then dropped it into the water.
"This person is even more arrogant than I thought," Sanji added as he stared at the house.
"Why exactly did Cricket leave his house to stay here," Luffy asked Robin as he walked to the front of the ship.
"I don't know all the details, but it has to do with his belief that there's a lot of gold somewhere on Jaya island" Robin replied as she leaned against the handle of the stairs.
"Gold!?" Nami and Usopp yelled at the same time, while Luffy and the others raised their eyebrows from feeling interested in the story.
"Do you think he lives here in search of buried treasure?" Nami asked in an excited voice.
"I don't know," replied Robin as she shrugged her shoulders. An excited Nami jumps off the ship along with Chopper and Usopp to begin a quest for gold.
"Well, let's see if he's home" Luffy said, teleporting from the ship into lightning. When the other crew got off the ship, Luffy arrived at the door of the house and knocked several times. "Helloooo!" Luffy called while knocking a few times, but no one answered. "It looks like no one is home,” Luffy said as he grabbed the doorknob and turned it around. Surprisingly, the house was not locked.
"What are you doing!?" yelled Usopp who was frightened. "You can't just open people's doors!" he told Luffy, where Luffy ignored Usopp's words and walked into the house.
Luffy spent a few minutes inside the house before he came out again and talked to his crew. "It looks like no one is home" Luffy said as he walked up to them. "We'll wait here in case he comes back," added Luffy, his entire crew only gave an answer with a nod of their head.
"Huh?" nami said because something caught her attention. "What's this?" Nami asked as she walked up to a tree stump with three chairs around it and picked up a book. "Book" said Nami as she lifted him up. "It looks very old" he commented, looking at the cover. "This book is titled 'Nolan The Liar,” said Nami, getting the attention of Sanji and Luffy.
"Did you say Nolan the Wild?" Sanji asked while looking at Nami.
"True, have you ever heard of it?" Nami asked while looking at the cover of the book. "It is said here that this book was published in North Blue" Nami added.
"Yup, I was born in North Blue. I'm sure I've told you about it" Sanji said, surprising everyone, especially Luffy and Robin.
"No you never, that's new news to me. I always thought you were born in East Blue" Usopp said, while Luffy nodded his head in agreement.
"I grew up there" added Sanji. "This is a famous story in North Blue about the life of Nolan who supposedly lived in North Blue in antiquity" Sanji said to explain about the book, then Nami started reading it to everyone.
While Nami reads the story to everyone, Luffy looks at Sanji with narrowed eyes, still thinking about the fact that his chef is from North Blue. Just as Nami finished telling the story, a human figure jumped out of the sea and landed on the island in a ready-to-fight position, attracting everyone's attention.
"Who are you?" asked the man while looking at the Straw Hat. "You all have the guts to relax in someone's house without permission. This is my land and I suggest that you all leave immediately" he said.
"Sanji," Luffy said in a bored tone, causing his cook to nod his head before he walked towards the man.
"I know why you're here" said the man as he prepared to fight Sanji. "You're after my gold" he said, ducking down, dodging Sanji's kick. The man immediately retaliated with a punch aimed at Sanji's chest, which forced the chef to jump back to avoid the blow.
The man then rushed forward with his right hand in the air preparing to attack Sanji again, whereupon Sanji deflected him by raising his leg and blocking the man's attack. The man then pointed his hand back and pulled the gun and aimed towards Sanji's head before pulling the trigger.
"APPLY!" Usopp, Nami, and Chopper cried out in fear.
"Calm down" Sanji's voice rang out, relaxing them. "He's a lousy shooter" Sanji said before he was forced to avoid several other shots from the man.
"Idiot" said Zoro, drawing out one of his swords. "Never underestimate your enemy" Zoro scolded Sanji, then Zoro started running forward, preparing to slice the man in half.
Before Zoro could get there, the man began to stagger, and his gun fell out of his hand before he fainted and fell to the ground, confusing everyone.
