Chapter 87's

As soon as everyone was on board, Luffy gave a mental command to the clouds to take off and so it happened. The cloud shot forward very quickly making a trail of sand behind it.

The cloud then began to rise upwards at a high speed which caused everyone to hold on with all their might. They were moving at a speed of about 160 Kmph and after 1 minute of flying, they were already about 90 meters above the ground, but Luffy knew that it was still not high enough.

He then increased his speed which caused the clouds to rise even faster.

"Are my feelings alone or is the clouds shrinking?" Usopp asked as he looked around the clouds.

"No, it did shrink, indeed" Luffy replied as they continued to climb.

"What !? How's it?" Shouted Usopp /question.

"Losing moisture" answered Nami to Luffy. Luffy simply smiled at her and continued to focus on bringing the clouds high enough. When the clouds were about 1500 meters above the air, Luffy stopped the clouds and let them float there.

"Let's stop here for a while to allow the clouds to collect moisture" he said as he flopped and let out a sigh of relief. After waiting for 30 minutes, Luffy ordered the clouds to move forward and the clouds to move immediately.

"I'll take us to the outer regions of Rainbase" Luffy said as the cloud flew towards the city at a speed of about 120 kmph.

"Why is it outside?" Johnny asked as he looked back at Luffy.

"Well, it would be too attention-grabbing if the clouds carrying humans suddenly landed in the middle of the city," Luffy said with a flat expression on his face.

"Oh, right," said Johnny as he scratched the back of his head. Fly in about 30 minutes before they stop in the air.

"OK, we have to go down at the same speed as we go up," he said causing everyone's eyes to widen. Before any of them could say anything, a few flashes of lightning shot out from the clouds and wrapped around everyone acting as a seatbelt.

The clouds then swooped sharply and started descending towards the ground at a speed of about 240 Kmph causing all members of Luffy's crew to shout. When they were about 15 m above the ground, the clouds changed position by themselves and slowly began to slow down while at the same time descending at a slower pace than before.

It takes about 4 minutes for the cloud to actually slow down about 3 feet above the ground. "OK, everything can go down" Luffy said as the electric lightning dissipated from everyone's body so they could go down. Usopp, Johnny, and Chopper were the first. When their feet hit the ground, they quickly kissed the sand.

"Ohh sweet land, I miss you so much!" Usopp said while kissing the ground causing Luffy to shake his head. As soon as everyone descended from the clouds, the clouds disappeared with the air.

"So, it's Rainbase" Luffy said as he looked at the city in front of them.

"Yes, that's where Crocodile is," Vivi said as she pointed at the golden pyramid with giant Banana Gators on it.

"Well then, let's go" Luffy said as he began walking towards the city. As the group entered the city and walked the streets, Luffy and Zoro could not shake the feeling that they were being watched.

"Do you think Baroque Works knows we're here?" Nami asked as they walked through the streets of the busy Rainbase. It was then that Zoro and Luffy saw several people on the street while holding photos of them all.

"Yes, they know we're here" Luffy replied.

"you saw them too?" Zoro asked as he looked at Luffy.

"Yes ..they are everywhere" he replied, looking around.

"Luffy," Sanji said attracting his attention. "We're running out of water supply," Sanji said causing Luffy to sigh before replying.

"Do you have any money left over from Nanohana?" Luffy asked as he stopped in his tracks.

"Yes, I have enough" Sanji told Luffy.

"Well, take Chopper and buy as much as you can. We'll go first and start everything with Crocodile and you can act as our hidden card if the situation gets bad" Luffy said, making Chopper and Sanji nod and walk away in the opposite direction.

"Straw hat!" it was the next thing Luffy heard, and his familiar voice came from his left. When Luffy looked to the left, he saw a group of marines led by Smoker chasing after them.

"How did they find us?" Luffy asked himself before he turned to his crew and spoke. "Spread!" Luffy shouted, causing all of them to spread out in all different directions. Luffy then looked at Smoker and smiled before speaking.

"Hey, Smokey! Let's bet you can't catch me!" luffy said as he stuck his tongue out at him before he went running with Smoker following right behind him, while the other Marine chased the other crew.

Luffy ran around the entire city with Smoker following behind him as the two struck a random bounty hunter as they ran. After running for about 10 minutes, Luffy finally approached Crocodile's main operating base.

He could see every one of his crew standing in front of the casino except Vivi, Sanji, and Chopper.

"Luffy !?" Nami and Nojiko screamed when they saw her, causing everyone to turn around and look at her.

"I think it's time for us to go inside now," Luffy said as he ran towards them, causing them all to run into the casino. When they entered the casino, they saw many well-dressed people were gambling, completely ignoring the whereabouts of Luffy and his crew.

The group kept running even though they were in the casino with Smoker right behind them. As they ran, they approached the back of the casino and a door with the inscription 'V.I. P' is written on it.

"Welcome," said a man wearing a tuxedo.

"The VIP room is waiting for you," another man said causing Luffy to raise his eyebrows. Luffy knew it was a trap, but it wasn't something he needed to worry about, so he walked into the area.

"Did he just say V.I.P lounge?" Usopp asked while running.

"Do you think it could be a trap?" Nami asked.

"Maybe .. is only one way to find out," Luffy said as he kicked the door in front of him open. When the door opened, the group found themselves running in a long hallway.

"Hey, captain," Zoro said as he ran. "The hallway is branching out in front," he said.

"Saying the VIP turn left and the Pirates to the right," Luffy read the two marks in a loud enough voice.

"Let's go left!" Nami and Usopp yelled. Luffy doubted the sign really meant something. Luffy is sure that both will lead to the same place.

"Sorry, but we're pirates, so we go right," he said, causing them all to groan while Luffy smiled. When they turned right, they reached a dead end.

"Huh?" that's one thing they all say.

"Straw hat!" shouts Smoker and joins them. Just as the smoker arrived, the floor below them opened showing it as a trap door, which caused them all to fall down.

Luffy and Smoker were the only ones to land on their feet, while everyone lay on the floor. Luffy decided to see where they were, so he took a look around, and then realized that they were in a rather large prison cell.

"Well, it looks like we got caught," Luffy said indifferently.

"This prison test is also made of sea stone" Smoker added, touching the bars.

"I think we're stuck here" Luffy said as he sat on a bench inside the cell.

"I think so," Smoker agreed as he also sat on the bench, but made sure to make the distance between him and Luffy.

"HOW CAN YOU TWO BE SO CALM!" Shouted Luffy's crew.

"Calm ... We have guests .." said Luffy, narrowing his eyes and looking out of the cell. Everyone looked towards the outside of the cell and saw a man sitting on a sizable chair behind the table, staring at all of them with a satisfied smile on his face. "... Crocodile," said Luffy in a monotone voice.
