Chapter 33

After flying for about two minutes, Luffy's entourage arrived in front of Arlong Park. Usopp, Johnny, and Yosaku are there waiting for them, while the other villagers and Nami have returned to the village. They all jumped up from the clouds and saw Luffy sweating a little.

"You okay, captain?" Zoro asked causing everyone to see Luffy.

"Yes, I just used too much energy to carry all of you, plus all those cannon balls and gunpowder," Luffy said causing them to nod their heads.

Luffy then sent a cloud with all the cargo to the Going Merry that docked right next to Arlong Park and dropped the cargo from the marine base on his deck.

Luffy then turned towards Johnny, Yosaku, and Usopp and gave them orders. "Bring a boat to the back of the island next to Nami's village, Usopp," said Luffy, receiving a respectful reply from him.

"And you two take all the cargo and bring it down the deck to store it" Luffy told Johnny and Yosaku. He then turned towards Sanji, Zoro, and Diane then spoke, "We're going to the village, I need a drink and Zoro needs a doctor," Luffy said.

Zoro was about to protest but Luffy's gaze kept him quiet. Before they left, Luffy sent a cloud with all the money to the sky to wait until he was ready to take it out.

The group then started walking towards the village, as they approached the village they heard the sound of laughter and cheers from the people in the village.

"It looks like they're having a party. I wonder what to celebrate," Diane said as she walked beside Luffy. Luffy laughed before speaking.

"It's a long story, but before we tell you that story, or I'm sure someone in the village will tell you ... I have one question I want to ask you," said Luffy making Dian a little nervous.

"Are you one of the slaves freed by Fisher Tiger?" Luffy asked causing the woman to flinch. "Don't worry, you'll never go back there and no one will hurt you here. I just want to know," said Luffy trying to calm him down. Zoro and Sanji decided to walk closer to the two to hear the story.

"Yes, right," Diane said causing Sanji and Zoro's eyes to widen while Luffy did not show any reaction. "I was arrested when I was just a little girl and sold to one of the World Nobles. I remember thinking I was going to die as a slave, but one night a Fishman saved me and a bunch of other slaves. From then on I was trying to find my way back to East Blue, not until a few months ago could I return here, but as soon as I entered East Blue Nezumi and his men found me on a passenger ship. When they saw the mark on my body they took me away and locked me in their base" he said trembling.

Luffy placed his hand on his shoulder before he spoke.

"It's okay, now you're home" Luffy said, pointing to the village. Diane did not notice it but when they chatted they had already arrived at the village. It was the same village he remembered.

At the sight of Luffy the entire Village started cheering and running towards him with cheerful smiles on their faces. As they were about to surround Luffy, he extended his hand to stop them. "Before," Luffy said before he grabbed Zoro behind his shirt and pushed him forward.

"He needs a doctor as soon as possible" he said, causing an old man in a white coat to step forward.

"I'll take care of him," he said causing Luffy and Sanji to push the grumbling Zoro towards the man. Luffy then placed his hand on Diane's shoulder before she spoke again.

"It's Diane," she said, making everyone's attention turn to her. "He was from this village but had long been kidnapped. I found her held captive by the Marine and brought her here," she said causing everyone to start whispering amongst themselves.

All the whispers were interrupted by a woman who came forward and called out the name Dian.

"I can't believe it" he said as he looked at Diane. "It's been almost 15 years since she was kidnapped," she said, causing Luffy's eyes to widen along with many young people in the village.

Before anyone else could say anything more pitiful, Luffy spoke.

"HEY!" Luffy shouted causing everyone to stare at him as he took out a bottle of whiskey. "I thought we were having a party" he said with a broad smile that rarely came out on his face. Everyone started to party again.

** FOUR DAYS AND ONE BIG PARTY THEN **

It had been four days since Luffy defeated Arlong. The entire village celebrated their freedom for three consecutive days without work and partied for three days at a full buffet. During those three days, Zoro gets his injuries treated and everyone on the crew gets their long rest.

Diane had returned Luffy's coat on the second day after he washed it. Dian and her parents thanked Luffy over and over again for bringing her home.

Luffy kept telling them that they didn't need to thank him but they didn't want to listen. Currently, Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and Usopp were in the Going Merry checking the food supplies provided by the villagers along with some orange trees that Nami placed on the ship last night.

Standing on the dock beside the ship are all the villagers, Diane, and her parents along with Genzo and Nojiko. No one had seen Nami all morning, but Luffy knew she would show up any minute. He looked at his crew on board and spoke.

"You remember the plan, right?" Luffy asked, leaving Sanji confused, as Luffy did not tell his plan. Zoro nodded along with Usopp, Johnny, and Yosaku.

"uh uh? What plan?" Sanji asked with a confused expression on his face. Luffy laughed before speaking.

"You'll see for yourself" he said before walking to the back of the boat and looking at the villagers, especially towards Nojiko. "Hey Nojiko," Luffy called out, drawing his attention along with the other residents. "Your sister can be annoying sometimes," Luffy said with a grin that caused Nojiko to smile as well.

"I might need some help to take care of him," Luffy said. Everyone stared at the interaction between the two with a smile, except in Genzo's case, he looked like someone had just shot his cat.

"Oh and you want me to help you so she doesn't bother?" Nojiko asked.

"That's right" Luffy said before taking off his hat and combing his hair by hand before putting it back on. "Well, if you're interested" said Luffy. Nojiko then issued a thinking position before replying.

"OK, you have a new crew member" he said before he boarded the ship. Luffy looked at her strangely before he asked her.

"You're not gonna bring clothes or anything?" Luffy asked. Nojiko smiled before answering.

"Nami was picking it up," he said causing Luffy a bit of shock. That's when Luffy heard Nami yell.
