Chapter 139

** one Day Later **

Luffy is currently lying on a beach chair made of soft clouds under the cabana at Angel Beach, with a glass of wine that tastes very delicious, the original Skypiea made on his right.

the wine was a gift from the people of Skypiea when he returned to Angel Island yesterday. They all treated Luffy and his crew as if they were nobles.

Speaking of his crew, they also ended up joining Angel Island last night with several dial-powered boats that pulled Merry from Upper Yard to Angel Island.

Currently, they were all scattered all over the island, doing their respective activities. Luffy doesn't mind, they've got a little vacation and Luffy doesn't have the mood to get up from a comfortable chair.

Luffy's brows twitched as the sound of his transponder snail rang.

"How could I still get a signal here," Luffy asked himself in a frustrated voice before he looked to his left where his trusted cloud was hovering.

Luffy extended his hand into the clouds and took out a small crate where the ringing sound came from. Luffy opened the crate where it was filled with transponder snails, he then put his hand in and tried to find the snail ringing.

After Luffy found it, he then took out a small transponder snail that had an eye patch on his left eye. When Luffy saw the appearance of the snail, he smiled slightly before answering her.

"Paul, my old friend," Luffy said through the snail's microphone. "What are you doing making this call?" Luffy asked as he closed the crate and picked up the snail he was using then placed it next to a bottle of wine.

"Asura," a heavy voice rang out from the snail. "I just called to confirm the request I received recently" said Paul.

"What kind of request?" Luffy asked before taking a sip of his wine.

"I received a lot of requests from people located in four sea regions and one from here on the Grand Line, to build a base," he said causing Luffy to nod his head when he heard that.

"They all claimed that Asura was the one who told them to call me. One group that was on the Grand Line came to tell me directly," he added.

"Name and location" Luffy said in a serious voice.

"Md. Valentine from South Blue?" Paul asked.

"One of my men" replied Luffy.

"Md. Merry Christmas from North Blue?" She asked.

"My man" replied Luffy.

"The Bounty Duo from East Blue?" Paul asked, causing Luffy to raise his eyebrows upon hearing Johnny and Yosaku's chosen codename.

"My man" replied Luffy.

"And a woman named Paula came to see me in person a few days ago" he said.

"Yes, I sent it to you. He will run the Hino Branch" Luffy told the snail. "Paula said she found an uninhabited island to set up a base. I need you to check it out and see if the island fits into the plans for the Hino branch center, ", added Luffy.

"The same plan we made?" Paul asked.

"Yes, that one," Luffy replied before finishing his glass of wine and starting to pour again for himself.

"Well, I'm going to call my people in the ocean and get them to start construction" Paul said, causing Luffy to nod.

"Hell's Company has taken root in the world's oceans in a very short time. Don't you think you're moving too fast, Asura?" Paul asked in a curious tone.

"No, I know Marine may have been aware of Hell's Company's existence, but they would never have been able to figure out the true size and extent of Hell's Company. By the time they're going to act and do something, I'm already going to stick my claws in the world, so they have no way to get rid of me " luffy replied in a serious tone before ending with a laugh.

"It's nice to know that Paradise doesn't make you soften" Paul said with a laugh.

"How are things in Alabasta?" Luffy asked.

"Everything goes pretty well here. We finished with the second floor in the basement a few days ago and we are currently working on the first floor which should be finished in three days. After that, we just need to start building the main floor and the docking port. I have about 150 people working here, so it takes two weeks to get everything done, "Paul explains, causing Luffy to smile.

"That's great news" Luffy said before taking a sip of his drink.

"Yes, the princess comes every two days to check things out, and I hire some locals to help with the construction. I'll probably hire a few more to speed up the process, but if we continue at the current pace, we'll be done in two weeks" Paul added proudly. Luffy smiled when he heard Vivi checking out the project regularly.

"What about marine?" Suddenly Luffy asked. "Is anyone bothering?" he added.

"A little while ago there was a Marine captain who came with his ship, he demanded to know what we were building and who we were building it for, he said, but the king put them away just before I was about to send the captain and his ship to the bottom of the sea, " replied Paul, causing Luffy to laugh.

"But other than that, there's no other problem" he added, causing Luffy to nod.

"Be sure to call me after you check out the island Paula found, '" Luffy said.

"Must be the boss" Paul replied before the two of them hung up. Luffy then stuffed the transponder snail back into the crate and was about to close it, but when Luffy closed it he sighed and took out a different snail and pressed the button that was on it.

"Asura," Isaac's voice sounded through the transponder.

"Everything is good, business is starting. We managed to do our first large arms sale a few days ago, to a group of rebels fighting in a civil war" Isaac said, causing Luffy to smile.

"Have you tried to sell to the kingdom they were fighting against as well?" Luffy asked.

"I've already sent some people to talk to the king," Isaac replied causing him and Luffy to start laughing.

"We're really the trash of the world" Luffy said with a laugh.

"We wouldn't be pirates if we weren't like this" Isaac replied with a laugh.

"Right, is there anything else you should report?" Luffy asked before taking another sip of his wine.

"Well, some of the hospitals here in West Blue, who heard the news that the famous Drum Kingdom medicines can only be obtained through us have already started to file drug reservations. I sent a ship back to the Grand Line to deliver the request to the Drum Kingdom and then bring it back, but I received word that the Drum kingdom had just begun production, " Isaac explained, causing Luffy to nod his head.

"I'll call the king there after I'm done talking to you, to find out what's going on" Luffy told the snail.

"Why did you call me?" Isaac asked, reminding Luffy of the reason why he called one of his generals.

"That's right, I called to tell you to keep yourself away from Hell's Company," Luffy replied, puzzling Isaac.

"Why?" Isaac asked.

Because people already know that you're sailing under my flag. I don't want people to know that I'm Asura too soon, "Luffy explained, making Isaac understand. "Let Jiro be the main face in West Blue, while you just have to keep an eye on everything from the shadows" added Luffy.

"Roger, captain!" answer Isaac. "Is there anything special you want to do while I'm in the shadows of West Blue?" Isaac asked in an excited voice, causing Luffy to grin.

"I want you to build my fleet in the West Blue" said Luffy, grinning, "let more pirates under my banner, promise to the new rookies and the ones who will join or the weak that they will get protection if they sail under my flag," Luffy replied, causing Isaac to laugh.

"Say that they will be guaranteed safety if they decide to enter the Grand Line," Isaac said in an excited tone that caused him and Luffy to laugh deeply.

"True," said Luffy with a laugh.

"I'll be working on that soon, see you boss!" isaac said before he hung up the phone, which caused Luffy to only be able to shake his head and put the transponder snail back into the crate.

"I'd better get everything done now, so I can relax," Luffy told himself before reopening the crate and taking out the larger transponder snail.

He dialed a number into it and waited for the other party to pick up.

"Hello" a man replied politely.

"Hello, Dalton, how are you?" Luffy asked the new King of Drum Kingdom.

"Luffy?" Dalton asked.

"The one and only," Luffy replied as he twirled the wine in his glass. "How are things in the kingdom?" She asked.

"Everything went well. People are finally happy, and things are starting to get better" Dalton replied happily. "And also, we have changed the name of the kingdom. Now this kingdom is no longer called Drum Kingdom, but Sakura Kingdom" Dalton said, while Luffy who heard this only nodded.

"That's great," Luffy replied through a snail. "Make sure all my people who come there tell this to their customers" Luffy added.

"We've done that" Dalton replied, while Luffy heard he started flipping through the paper. "We've got a lot of orders for medicines from all over the world, but it doesn't seem like we can fill all the orders" Dalton said in an apologetic voice.

"Don't worry about that, Dalton," Luffy replied with a smile. "Whatever you need, just ask my people and they'll get it for you. If you need more workers, I'm sure they can find some for you. If you need a facility to build, just tell one of my staff to send a message to Paula, and she'll call my personal architect, " Luffy explained causing the new king to become a little calmer.

"Thank you, Luffy," he said in a relieved voice. "You really have helped the people of this country" he added.

"Sakura Kingdom is one of my territories, of course I have to look after and care for its people" Luffy said before taking a sip of the wine.

"We will forever be grateful to you and your other crew" Dalton replied through a transponder snail.

"By the way, how's the little deer you brought?" dalton asked, causing Luffy to smile.

"He's very kind" Luffy replied with a slight smile. "He's a great doctor and a pirate" he added with a laugh.

"I'm sure Dr. Kureha would love to hear it" Dalton said, causing Luffy to nod his head.

"Call me if you need me, Dalton," said Luffy.

"surely," Dalton replied before the two of them hung up. Luffy then put the transponder snail back into the crate before staring at the other transponder snail that was inside the crate, as if trying to decide whether he would call the other person or not.

Luffy finally decided not to call anyone else and closed the chest which then sank back into the clouds.

"One day I've had enough work" Luffy said with a grin, before pouring himself a glass of delicious Skypiean wine and leaning back in a very comfortable cloud chair.
