The masked man then stopped his attack then growled before he ran over the clouds in the same direction he came from.
"Who are you?" Nami asked firmly.
"Miss, you can call me the Sky Knight," the knight-clothed old man replied to all the crew.
"Then, who's that weird guy?" Nami asked again. Before the knight could answer his question, the sound of something hitting the deck caught everyone's attention. As everyone looked towards the direction the voice was coming from, they saw Sanji, Zoro, and Nojiko lying on their backs while breathing a sigh.
"AHHH! What happened to you guys !?" Chopper yells/quires in panic.
"Take Chopper down" said Luffy calmly from his throne, drawing everyone's attention. "The air here is pretty thin. That's why they feel so exhausted" Luffy explained, making all his crew understand.
"Oh yes," Nojiko said gasping. "I forgot about that" he added while trying to control his breath.
"You all must be people from the Blue Sea," said the sky knight, drawing their attention as he climbed the stairs towards the upper deck.
"The Blue Sea People?" Robin asked in a curious voice. "What's that?" he added while tilting his head to the side.
"The people of the Blue Sea are our designations for the people who live under the clouds" the knight replied. "You are currently 7000 meters above the White Sea. The White Sea that I assume to be your destination is higher than this, about 3000 meters away" the knight said as he jumped and sat on the top deck fence, staring at the crew.
"True, we want to go to Skypiea," Chopper said in an excited tone, causing the knight to flinch slightly upon hearing the Sky Island's name. The knight tries to hide his reaction, but Luffy, Zoro and, Robin realize the change from the old knight.
"That sounds pretty fun and so on, but we have some business to talk about" the knight said, changing the subject.
"Business?" Sanji asked in a confused voice.
"Ordinary Blue Sea people like you won't be able to survive up here, coupled with rebels like the ones you've just met in every corner of this ocean" he said, scaring Chopper and Usopp, while Luffy raised his eyebrows.
"I am a mercenary, I can protect you from those assailants for a bargain price of only 5 million extols" the old knight proudly said, making Luffy chuckle, while the rest of the crew looked at the old man with a confused look on their faces. .
"Huh?" they all said loudly while tilting their heads to the side.
"Just calm down, I can confirm that it is a reasonable price," the knight said as he waved his hand. "I have to survive also know; I can't lower the price even for 1 Extol," the Knight told them, leaving all the crew even more confused.
"What's this stupid thing called Extol?" Zoro asked while looking at the old man. When the knight heard Zoro's question, a surprised look appeared on his face.
"You don't know?" the man asked in a surprised tone. "You guys came here from the Summit Of High West, right?" She asked. "Of course you've passed one or two islands before you got here" he added, staring at them.
"Oh yeah, Luffy told us about something called the summit before we headed to Jaya" Usopp said, causing the crew to nod.
"We came through Knock-up-Stream" said Luffy from behind the man, speaking for the first time since the knight appeared.
"That terrible crus !?" Asked the old man in a surprised voice. "So, there are still souls who are brave enough to ride that stream," he said in a tone of astonished voice.
"Have you guys lost any of the crew along the way?" the knight suddenly asked.
"No, we're all safe" Nojiko replied.
"Then you can consider yourself lucky" said the old man, staring at them. "If you take that different route, only some of you will survive, while others will definitely die" he added, causing them to nod their heads, remember that Luffy said the same thing to them. "When going through the knock-up stream the choice is between everyone surviving, or everyone dying. That's the only result," the old knight grimly said.
"Not many people dare to take that risk, especially now. Well if no one dies, then I now understand, you have a brave navigator and extraordinary abilities" he added, causing Nami to be embarrassed.
"Ohhhh stop!" nami said with a red hue on her face. The old knight then stood up and took out a whistle before he spoke. "It's an inflatable whistle, you're free to use it as you please" he said as he dropped the whistle onto the main deck where the crew stood.
"If you face any danger, you just need to blow it and I'll come to your aid" he added before turning around to get ready to leave with his strange bird.
"Wait," exclaimed Nami stopping him. "We still don't know your name yet" Nami said, causing the old Knight to turn around and speak.
"My name ... Gan Fall," he replied, along with his strange bird/horse landing next to Gan Fall. "And this is my colleague, Pierre," added Gan Fall causing the bird/horse to squeal. Gan Fall then leaped onto Pierre and flew upwards. "May good luck be with you, brave warriors!" he screamed as he walked away.
"It was .. interesting," Luffy commented while all his crew nodded in agreement.
"In the end, he didn't tell us anything" Robin said with a sigh.
"No, he didn't explain anything" Usopp replied, sighing.
"Where should we go after this?" Zoro asked while looking around.
"Hey, look over there!" Chopper shouted while pointing to the side of the ship. "Is that a cloud?" She asked
"It looks like a waterfall" Nojiko said as she stood next to Chopper.
"Okay, our goal has emerged" said Zoro. "We go there" he added, pointing towards the waterfall. Everyone then looked at Luffy to wait for his approval. Luffy turned around and looked towards the waterfall before looking back at all of his crew, then he nodded his head.
Once they got approval from their captain, the crew adjusted the sails to catch the wind and the ship started sailing towards the falls. Luffy and the rest of the crew then moved to the front of the ship to enjoy the beautiful view of the ship sailing across the clouds.
The beautiful scenery was one of the most beautiful for most of the crew. It never appeared in their wildest imaginations, that one day they would be on a ship sailing in a sea of clouds above the sky.
"Wow, this is really beautiful" Nojiko said as she stared at the white clouds that hit the ship.
"Yes," Chopper said. While everyone was enjoying the scenery, Nami showed a worried expression on her face as she continued to glance at the log pose.
"Stop the boat!" Nami suddenly shouted, causing Zoro to drop the anchor. The ship slowly came to a halt a little far from the waterfall. "The cloud is blocking our path" he said, pointing forward.
"The big cloud looks like it's floating on top of the ocean, like an iceberg" Sanji said as he placed his hand in his pocket.
"Hmm, that's a new thing" Luffy said before turning to Usopp and speaking. "Come here, Usopp," confused the sniper. When Usopp arrived, before he could ask what Luffy wanted from him. Luffy grabbed his collar and threw it out of the ship towards the clouds.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Usopp shouted as he floated in the air. The rest of the crew turned back in shock at Luffy's actions. But to their surprise, Usopp did not fall through the clouds, instead, he landed on it.
"I'm still alive?" Usopp asked himself before he stood on the clouds and started jumping around like he was on a trampoline. "You should try this!" Usopp shouted happily as he bounced around on top of the giant cloud.
"How does it work?" Nami asked as she stood between Robin and Nojiko, looking at Usopp with a look of disbelief.
"It's a mystery" replied Robin.
"We obviously can't sail through that cloud" Nami said as she began to think. "Usopp, try and look around, then see if there is a route that the ship can pass," suddenly Nami shouted to Usopp.
"Good!" Usopp replied before he started looking around while jumping up. "I saw a giant gate!" Usopp shouted back after looking around for a while.
"The gate?" Nojiko asked.
"Yes, it's in front, just below the waterfall," Usopp replied before jumping back to the ship. The ship then began sailing among the giant clouds with Usopp giving direction to Nojiko who was holding the wheel. After sailing between the clouds for about five minutes, the gate Usopp saw was visible.
"We arrived" Nami said as the ship sailed towards the giant gate with a sign on it that read 'Heaven’s Gate.'
"Heaven’s Gate?" Usopp asked in a scared voice. "It sounds like the place you went to when you died" he said in a frightened voice.
"Maybe we're dead, we've thought of that" Zoro said.
"That would help explain this strange place," Sanji added, only to have Nami slap them both.
"Can you two shut up!" Nami yelled while hitting them.
"Hey look!" nojiko caught their attention. "There's someone standing there," he pointed to the gate platform. As they all looked towards Nojiko's hand, they saw a small old woman with wings on her back taking their photo.
"L-look, he's got wings!" Chopper said in disbelief.
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that all Sky Islanders have angel wings" Luffy said with a nod. The ship then came to a halt on the platform in front of the old woman. Nobody said anything for a few seconds, they just stared at each other until Nami decided to break the silence.
"Umm, hello," exclaimed Nami.
"I am Amazon, the gatekeeper of heaven," said Amazon. "Please mention your business, vacation, war, or something else" he said.
"The reason," Luffy replied, was to choose the peaceful option. "We have to go to Skypiea" he added.
"That makes no difference," Amazon replied as he looked at them. "However, if you want to continue, you will have to pay an entrance fee of 1 billion extols per person. That's the rule here" he added, surprising them.
"1 Billion!" Usopp and Chopper shouted in shock.
"How much is the exchange rate for buying?" Luffy asked the old woman.
"1 buy the equivalent of 10,000 Extol," he replied again, surprising them.
"Hmm, if I do a mathematical calculation then it should be 100,000 buy per person" Luffy said suddenly. "And we have 8, so we need to pay 800,000 buy," added Luffy, nodding to himself, then it began to walk towards its throne and took out a large bag that held all their money.
Luffy then took out an empty bag and began to put a pile of money in it. When he had the amount he needed, he put the big bag back into the clouds and carried the other bag back to the front of the ship.
"This, it should be enough for the eight of us," he said before throwing the bag at the old woman. The bag landed right in front of Amazon.
"All right," he said. "You can come in" Amazon added. When he finished speaking, two large claws emerged from under the ship and stamped the side of the Going Merry.
"AHHHH! What happened !?" Chopper yells/quests.
"This is the famous White Sea express lobster" said the old woman. The lobster then popped to the surface and placed Merry on his back before darting quickly through the gate and began climbing the waterfall.
"Everything! Hold tight!" Nojiko shouted as she held onto the fence. When a giant lobster starts climbing the waterfall, which turns out to be a way to climb up the clouds, then enter the tunnel, Luffy, Zoro, and so on, and Sanji was just leaning against the fence staring at the tunnel of clouds they passed by quickly.
After about ten minutes of a terrifying journey, the crew was finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
"Look, that's the way out!" Nami shouted as they approached the light. As they got closer, they saw a sign on the side of one of the clouds that read 'Godland Skypiea.'
"What is Godland Skypiea?" Robin asked as she read the sign.
"That's not the way out" Luffy said with a grin. "That's the entrance," he added, making all the crew smile happily. The Going Merry and the giant lobster then drifted as they exited the cloud path before the Going Merry landed in the White Sea again and the lobster returned to dive into the deep sea.
"Well, that's it" Luffy said as he walked forward and stared at the beautiful scenery that lay before him. "Sky Island" he said with a smile, then all the crew walked forward and stood behind Luffy, observing the scene before them.
"It's beautiful" Robin commented as she stared at the beautiful island in front of her.
"I think it would be better to admire him from the beach than from a ship" Luffy said before turning to his men. "Take us to shore," Luffy ordered, causing them to immediately tilt the sails to catch the wind and the ship began sailing forward.
"Luffy," called Zoro, attracting the attention of his captain. "There's no seabed here, how are we going to use the anchor?" Zoro asked as he walked towards the anchor.
"Drop it, these clouds should be able to hold it," Luffy replied, causing Zoro to drop anchor to the cloud, but only part of the anchor sank.
"This place is a bit shallow," Zoro warned everyone, causing them to nod. When the ship stopped, Luffy approached the side of the ship and said to his crew.
"Well, what are you waiting for, let's go!" he said before jumping off the boat and starting to walk to the beach.
