Chapter 54's

Before anyone could react, Mr. 8 pulled his bow tie and from his hair the barrel of a rifle sticking out and shot five times at the Baroque Works agent's partner.

"You won't touch the princess as long as Alabasta's security captain is still standing!" Mr.8 shouted as he fired five more times.

"Princess Alabasta," Luffy said as he looked at Ms. Wednesday. "I've heard that the princess is missing, but I never thought that she would go undercover at Baroque Works" Luffy said.

"Didn't princesses usually have subordinates to do such things for them?" Johnny asked.

"Yes, but, Alabasta is currently in a civil war. So maybe all his subordinates joined the rebels" Luffy joked.

"What are we gonna do?" Yosaku asked as he stared at the spot where the two Baroque Works agents were before being shot.

"We'll just watch for now" Luffy said as he turned around and faced them. "Nami's still robbing this place. So we let them fight and distract them from Nami," Luffy said causing the two of them to nod their heads before turning their attention back to the fight.

As the smoke billowed, everyone saw the two agents unharmed and unaffected with just gunfire.

"Come Princess! You must escape immediately!" Mr.8 yells to the Princess.

"Salt!" The princess shouted. Then suddenly one of the agents from inside the smoke threw something at Igaram which exploded upon contact. "Salt!" the princess cried once more as Igaram fell face to the ground first.

"Don't bother," came Ms.'s voice. Valentine from Vivi. Luffy looked up and saw the agent floating in the air staring at the princess.

"It looks like we're meeting a pair of devil fruit users" Luffy said, surprising the three members of his crew. "If I have to, I will fight against them," Luffy said causing the three to nod before turning their attention back to the fight.

"Daughter," Igaram choked as he lay on the ground. "You have to get out of here, for our kingdom. If anything happens to you, our kingdom will be destroyed" he said, causing the princess' eyes to widen.

"If you think you can escape from us, you must be crazy" Mr. 5 said.

"Kill me if you want to take me!" Vivi screamed as she took a defensive stance and started twisting things on her two little fingers. It was then that Mr 9 got up and stood in front of the princess with his baseball bat in a position ready to face the pair of agents.

"We have been partners and have fought together, for a long time. So go, I'll give you some time to run away" Mr. 9 told the princess.

"Thank you, Mr. 9," the princess said causing Mr. 9 to laugh.

"You think it's quite manly isn't it," he said before storming into the two agents. Mr.5 then pulled upil out of his nose and flicked it towards Mr. 9.

Upil darted through the air and held Mr. 9 right in his face. As the upil made contact with his face, the Upil exploded, shocking everyone watching.

"Did that thing just come out of his nose?" Yosaku asked in disbelief.

"Well, that's quite a strange ability," Luffy said as he looked at Mr. 5 with interest while ignoring the princess's screams at Mr. 9. Luffy stopped his observation by the sound of Igaram seemingly crawling to the front of the bar and gazing towards them.

"Pirate, I have the most unreasonable request, but I need the help of someone with strength like you guys," Luffy looked at her with an inquisitive expression before jumping down from the roof towards Igaram.

"Oh, and what's that request?" Luffy asked as he sat on a nearby barrel and looked down at the bleeding man.

"The two criminals have the power of the devil fruit, and there's nothing I can do to stop them. So that's why I'm begging you, please protect Princess Vivi from Alabasta for me," she begged Luffy. Zoro and the bounty hunter duo were extremely shocked.

"And why would I do that, huh?" Luffy asked rhetorically. "You tried to kill me and my crew a moment ago and now you want me to save your daughter. Give me one good reason why I should help you," Luffy said in his usual emotionless tone.

"You will get a great reward if you return the princess Arabasta to her kingdom. I'm just a lowly servant but I beg you to protect the Princess" he asked. Luffy only looked at her with his cold eyes before he sneered.

"Gift? Sure enough, I knew Alabasta was in the middle of a civil war. You barely even have enough money for your kingdom, let alone a gift for me," Luffy said coldly causing Igaram's head to fall. "However," said Luffy making Igaram look at him with eyes full of hope. "I will protect the princess on one condition" Luffy said.

"What's that?" Igaram asked in a hopeful voice. "Whatever it is, I'm sure the king will pay for it if his daughter is returned safely" he said causing Luffy to laugh.

"I will protect the princess only if, as soon as I return her to her kingdom ... Alabasta became my territory," said Luffy causing Igaram's eyes to widen in shock as did Zoro, the bounty-hunting duo, and Nami who was hiding in a corner of the building. .

"I-I .. I can't promise that" said Igaram sadly. "It was something only kings and princesses could do," he said causing Luffy to smile.

"Then I have to ask the princess," Luffy said before staring at the three members of his crew. "The three of you go protect the princess, I will join you after I take care of the unfinished ones," he said causing the three of them to run to the princess. Luffy then looked towards the remaining bounty hunters and spoke.

"Raging Thunder!" Luffy shouted causing 50 lightning bolts to descend from the sky and attack the remaining bounty hunters with thunder booming overhead. Luffy then looked at the hall next to the bar and spoke.

"You can get out now, Nami," he said, causing his navigator to come out of his hiding place.

"Hey captain," he said as he walked towards Luffy.

"Did you find anything?" Luffy asked.

"No, they're really poor" Nami said sadly causing Luffy to laugh. "For the bounty hunter base, they suck" Nami said. Luffy smiled at her before he replied.

"Don't worry about that," said Luffy attracting his attention. "I really didn't expect much" he said before getting off the barrel. "Have a wound for me, I'll go help the three of them," Luffy said before turning his body into lightning and teleporting.

Luffy landed in a nearby building, where Zoro and the bounty hunter duo fought against the two agents. When he arrives, Luffy sees a slightly burned Zoro fighting against Mr. 5 while the bounty hunter duo fight against Ms. Valentines.

The Princess was sitting on a rather large duck watching this fight. "Alright you three, I'll take over from here," said Luffy attracting everyone's attention. Upon seeing their Captain, the three of them jumped up and stood beside him.

Luffy jumped down from the roof and started walking towards the agents with a cold look in his eyes.

"Well, aren't you quite arrogant," said Mr. 5 as he looked at Luffy walking towards them. "Think you can fight us both alone,"

"We have to teach this bad boy a lesson, Mr. 5," Ms. said. Valentine with a smug grin.

"Let's see how you like my Bom-Bombs!" The 5th Master shouted as he advanced forward to punch Luffy with his left fist. Luffy simply coated his left palm with the haki armament and caught his fist easily.

"M-Impossible!" Mr.5 shouted in surprise. Luffy then coated part of his right hand with a flash and beat Mr. 5 back to sleep and hit 4 buildings. Ms. Valentine and the princess looked at Luffy with eyes the size of a dinner plate.

'He just defeated one of Baroque Works' top agents as if he was nothing, ' Vivi said to herself in a voice of disbelief.

"You ... You ... monster," said Ms. Valentine was terrified as he looked at Luffy who was walking towards him.

"No not a monster" Luffy said as he got closer. "I look more like a demon," luffy said before he turned into lightning and teleported right behind her and placed his index finger at the base of Ms Valentine's neck and channeled a hint of lightning that caused her to faint to the ground.
