Chapter 143

"Slow slow beam!" Foxy's shout shot out a streak of purple energy towards Luffy who was just standing there and letting the beam hit him.

"What's that?" Luffy asked not to feel any pain or loss of any part of the body. "Well, it's time to die, I guess," Luffy said as he took one step forward only to realize that his normal movements had slowed down dramatically.

"Ha! That's the power of my Slow-Slow fruit!" Foxy proudly declared. Luffy simply grinned before he turned his body into lightning and dashed forward at a speed that shocked Foxy and his entire crew.

Luffy then appeared in front of Foxy and thrust his golden trident into the pirate's chest while looking directly into his eyes with a cold look.

"Some advice," Luffy said with a cold whisper. "The driver is still pretty fast even when you slow him down," he said before pushing the trident further into Foxy's chest out of his back.

"Captain!" Foxy's crew screams in horror. The three crew members standing beside Foxy immediately tried to attack Luffy furiously, but before they had time, they were all intercepted by Nojiko, Zoro, and Sanji.

"Snatch!" Nojiko shouted as she appeared behind Foxy with her three-part staff standing behind, intercepting the girl who was about to attack Luffy.

He then swung his arm forward with a whip-like motion. When the top of the stick was about 1 foot away from the girl, the tip opened, and a metal nail stuck out and penetrated right through the girl's heart.

Nojiko then pulled back her wand which tore the girl's heart from her chest causing her to fall forward with a lifeless expression on her face.

"Oni Giri!" Zoro yelled as he appeared to the right of Luffy intercepting one of Foxy's crews who was about to attack Luffy. He swung all three of his swords simultaneously on his chest resulting in two deep wounds appearing on the man's chest and one on his throat.

The man then took two steps forward before blood spurted out from his wound like a fountain and then he fell into a puddle of his own blood that stared up at the sky as he felt his life leave his body.

"Collier!" Sanji shouted as he appeared to the left of Luffy intercepting another poor soul who was trying to attack Luffy. He spun with his left leg and sent a kick down the man's neck, causing a terrible sound from the man's broken neck before he also fell down with his face first with a lifeless expression on his face.

"Well done," Luffy said with a nod as he stared at the four corpses around him. He then turned his attention to the large ship filled with Foxy Pirates who were all staring at Luffy with an expression of absolute fear on their faces.

"They're all demons!" A random member of the Foxy Pirates shouted causing Luffy to grin.

"Now why are you saying such a thing," Luffy said before flicking his finger. Snap Just as the sound of a finger clicked, a streak of lightning descended from the sky and swallowed the pirate ship. The beam lasted for five seconds before disappearing along with the Foxy pirate ship which also disappeared.

"Judgments!" Luffy said softly as the lightning disappeared. Luffy then called out his lightning cloud and took out an ordinary basket of fruit from inside.

The crew watched in surprise and bewilderment as some of the fruits in the basket began to turn into strangely shaped and colored fruits like vortexes.

(You must remember that some of Foxy's crew are devil fruit eaters)

"Did they just turn into devil fruit?" Nami asked as she looked at the newly formed demon fruit inside the basket.

"That's one of the things that only a handful of people in the world know about" Luffy replied as he took one of the devil fruits from the basket.

"When the devil fruit user dies, their devil fruit will regenerate into a fruit similar to him," he explained as he threw the fruit up and down in his right hand.

"Wow, I haven't heard of anything like that in all the years I've been at sea" Robin commented as she stared at Luffy.

"The information was kept secret by the government and some of the big guys in the ocean" Luffy said as he began to put all the new demon fruits into the lightning cloud. "This info can cause a lot of chaos if the general public is aware of this little fact" he added which caused everyone to nod in agreement.

"Well, there's nothing we can do anymore on this island," said Luffy, as all of his fruit crates sank back into the clouds. "Let's continue the journey," he said causing everyone to nod before returning to the ship.

The crew then raised the anchor and began sailing away from the island. They sailed for several hours before another island was sighted.

"i saw an island!" Nami screamed as she looked through the telescope. "It seems uninhabited" he added as he inspected the island from afar.

"Let's go over there and check it out," Luffy commented causing Nami and Nojiko to nod before walking to the wheel. "Promise what about our food supply?" Luffy asked while looking at his cook.

"Our availability is not small, but I want to have more than we currently have," Sanji replied causing Luffy to nod his head.

"Hopefully we can find some food on the island," Luffy said as he stared at the island they were quickly approaching. It took about thirty more minutes for the Going Merry to reach the island.

Once at the beach, they lowered their anchors and continued exploring the island. The crew made their way to the forest on the island to gather supplies as they left.

"Yes, this place has a lot of rare herbs that I can use to make medicine," Chopper replied while holding a bag containing herbs. "i have a good stock, I have a good stock, but I'm still looking around in case I missed something" he added with a smile and looked around.

"Oh yeah, it reminds me of something, I saw something strange a second ago," Chopper said while looking down. "There's a small former trail along the trail here. I wonder what it is?" he asked while looking down at the ground. Everyone looked down towards the small lane on the ground as they continued walking.

"Hmm, you're right, it's weird" Usopp said as he looked towards the forest on the path. "It looks like there's just been a bike passing by here" he added causing Luffy and Robin's eyes to squint.

"Come on, that doesn't make any sense," Sanji commented as he turned towards Usopp. "There is no one else on this island, how could there be bicycles," he said, causing Usopp to chuckle.

"I think you're right" Usopp chuckled. Luffy then suddenly stopped and leaned over to check the small pathway on the ground which caused everyone to also stop. He rubbed it before seeing Robin who was behind the group looking at Luffy.

'She can't be on this island, ' Luffy thought to himself as he looked at Robin. From the look on her face, Luffy knew that she was thinking the same thing as him.

"What's the matter, Captain?" Zoro asked as he felt Luffy's alertness rise.

"For now? No," Luffy replied as he stood up. "In the near future? Maybe," he said confusing his crew. He said nothing more and walked back. The moment the group came out of the forest, they all sighed in disappointment.

"There's nothing here" Nojiko commented as she looked around. Right at that moment, Chopper ran towards a large rock that seemed to be overgrown with a huge mushroom.

"Whoah! I've never seen a mushroom this big before!" Chopper said excitedly as he dashed towards the giant rock. Luffy looked at the so-called mushroom and narrowed his eyes slightly in suspicion.

"I don't think it's a mushroom" Luffy said slowly. Before anyone could ask what, he meant, they all saw Chopper being thrown from behind a rock causing the little deer to fall on its back.

"Choppers!" Zoro and Usopp called out simultaneously as they saw their friend being thrown backwards.

"It looks like there's something behind the stone," Nojiko said as she took out her three-piece stick.

"Let's go!" Sanji said before him and the rest of the crew darted away leaving Luffy standing in the same position watching his crew charge towards the rock before he sighed.

"It's a relaxing journey" Luffy said to himself as he shook his head. He then walked towards his crew who were already facing the individual standing behind the rock.

When Luffy arrived, he saw Robin on the ground with a terrified expression on his face and sweat pouring out as he looked at the man behind the stone.

Luffy looked at her with a slightly sympathetic expression on his face before he moved and stood in front of his crew blocking Robin's view of the man.

"Luffy, this guy's an admiral!" Nami said in a somewhat panicked voice. "He had made Robin very scared" he added, staring at the captain's back.

The fact that this guy could scare Robin this big really scared Nami too, because Robin was one of the strong-willed crew members who never seemed to be afraid of anything.

If everyone is honest at this point, they are all a little scared because they saw Robin's reaction to the admiral, or in this case Usopp was scared.

"What are your orders, Captain?" Zoro asked as he stood to the right of Luffy with his two swords drawn. Robin's reaction may have bothered him a little, but Zoro is still ready to jump first into battle at the behest of his captain.

On Luffy's left are Sanji and Nojiko who are both ready to attack like Zoro. Luffy was slightly impressed with the three of them but at the same time, he found it funny.

"Back off," said Luffy surprising his crew.

"Huh?" they all asked along with confused expressions on their faces.

"Don't be too hasty toward your death" Luffy said as he looked at the admiral. "You're no match for him" added Luffy to surprise them. "Even if you all attack him at the same time with all your might, the most you can possibly do is force him to take two steps back" Luffy said, causing his crew to stare at the tall man with terrified expressions on their faces.

"Didn't you flatter me too much, Luffy," the man said in a lazy voice that caused Luffy to chuckle.

"You're a long way from Navy H.Q ... Kuzan," said Luffy, narrowing his eyes. Just as Luffy spoke, a cloud of lightning began to form overhead and the wind started blowing causing Luffy's coat to flutter in the wind.

"And you're a long way from the New World" Kuzan replied calmly as he looked at Luffy.

"I'm on my way back there right now," Luffy said calmly before a joyful grin appeared on his face. "Are you planning on stopping me?" he asked in a dangerous/excited tone as lightning struck overhead followed by deafening thunder.
