"Hahhh .. I hunt someone down," Ace said with a sigh, causing Luffy to stare at him with one eyebrow raised. "It's not ordinary people, pirates to be exact," he added causing Luffy to laugh.

"What, you're turning into a bounty hunter now?" Luffy asked with a small laugh then sat down on one of the barrels on the deck.

"No, it's not about money .. it's about revenge," Ace said in a serious tone that caused Luffy to look at him strangely.

"Who is this pirate?" Nami asked Ace.

"His name is Blackbeard" Ace said with a furious tone in his voice. This caused everyone's eyes to widen in shock. This was the second time this pirate's name had appeared, the first they had heard while in Drum Kingdom.

"Blackbeard?" Chopper asked causing Ace to nod his head. "He's a pirate who attacked my house," Chopper added in a slightly sad voice, causing Nami and Nojiko to put their hands on his shoulders.

"This is the second time I've heard of a pirate named Blackbeard" Luffy said in a serious voice. "Who is he?" he asked while looking at Ace.

"He may now be Blackbeard, but you recognize him by another name ... Luffy," Ace said seriously as he looked at Luffy. "Marshall D's. Teach," said Ace, causing Luffy's eyes to widen.

"Marshall D's. Teach?" Vivi asked in a confused voice. "Who is he?"

"He is a member of the Whitebeard pirates," Luffy said in a voice of disbelief. "Why do you want to kill that fat jerk?" Luffy asked in a confused tone while staring at Ace.

"The only idiot that can do is eat pie" he added. Ace looked at Luffy with a grim expression on his face before he spoke in a sad voice.

"He killed Thatch," said Ace, causing the entire deck to go silent. Luffy's crew doesn't know who Thatch is or what's going on, but they all know one thing, that their captain is angry. The sky above the ship began to darken and began to be inhabited by storm clouds.

Vivi looked at the sky with a look of disbelief. They were in a desert country at the moment; it was extremely rare for rain clouds to appear around here, however, now the entire sky was covered in storm clouds as if they were going to face a tropical storm that would last for days.

Vivi then looked back at Luffy and started thinking to herself.

'Actually how strong is he?' Vivi asked herself while looking at Luffy.

"I will kill him in the slowest and most painful way," Luffy said in a whispering tone before a loud thunder burst over their heads, producing vibrations for miles.

"Oh, no, you can't!" Shouted Ace before walking over to Luffy. "He's my target!" Ace shouted while looking right in Luffy's eyes.

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill him the moment I see him!" Luffy answered equally loudly.

"Teach's in my division, he's one of my men!" Ace shouted. "I'm responsible for his punishment" he said, causing Luffy to growl before nodding his head.

"Good," Ace said before he walked back to his original position while the rest of Luffy's crew was silent as they watched the interaction between the two brothers, and at the same time the crew realized the sky was turning bright again.

"But why did he kill Thatch?" Luffy asked causing Ace to growl while leaning on the side of the ship.

"He killed him because of Devil Fruit," Ace said with a growl that caused everyone's eyes to widen.

"What kind of Devil Fruit?" Luffy asked in a curious voice.

"I don't know," Ace replied with a sigh. "Thatch didn't know either, but apparently Teach knew," he said angrily. Luffy did not say anything, instead, he jumped from the barrel where he was sitting and started walking to the upper deck, towards his private room.

Everyone watched Luffy enter his room and ten seconds later he came out carrying a chest. Nami, Zoro, and Usopp recognized the crate since they got the Going Merry.

The three of them saw Luffy bring the chest to his room, but they never saw the chest again after that. Luffy walked down the stairs with the crate before walking into the barrel he had previously sat in and placing the crate on top of it. Everyone started to gather around Luffy, wanting to see what exactly was inside the crate.

Luffy reached into his coat and took out a key before he opened the chest, causing everyone's eyes to widen when he saw what was inside. When Luffy opened the chest, everyone saw the chest containing Devil Fruit of all shapes and colors, and on it was a thick book with a picture of Devil Fruit on the cover.

"Is it all ...?" Johnny asked in an incredulous voice.

"Yes," Luffy replied before he picked up the book that was at the very top.

"Where did you get it ...?" Nojiko asked in a voice similar to Johnny's.

"I have my own way," Luffy replied non-specifically, then he closed the crate and began to open the book.

"What book is that, Luffy?" Zoro asked while looking at the book.

"This is the Devil Fruit encyclopedia I've found," Luffy replied as he turned the pages of the book, allowing everyone to see on each page there was a different Devil Fruit name, picture, image, and other information about the fruit. "Regardless of what we think about Teach at the moment, he and Thatch are friends," Luffy said causing Ace to growl.

"And there were only a few Devil Fruit out there that caused him to willingly kill his own friend. Mine is one of them" Luffy said as he flipped through the pages.

"Devil Fruit Oyaji is also on that list," Ace added as he looked at the pages that Luffy was flipping through.

"Devil Fruit Big Mom and Kaido are also on that list," Luffy added before he turned to Ace and spoke seriously. "However, look at how he calls himself Blackbeard and the whole theme of this 'Black ... I can only guess that this is the fruit of his," Luffy said as he stopped in the courtyard with a picture of a large, round, light purple fruit, the fruit has many small teardrop-shaped protrusions with a circular pattern, and green leaves grow on it.

Its overall shape and appearance is very similar to that of a pineapple or a bunch of large, teardrop-shaped grapes. "The Dark-Dark Fruit," said Luffy.

"That's the fruit!" Ace shouted in surprise as he stared at the picture.

"It was one of the fairly powerful Devil Fruit in this world," Luffy said attracting everyone's attention. "And also, a very stupid fruit if you ask me," added Luffy confusing everyone.

"This fruit is really powerful because one of its abilities allows its user to undo the Devil Fruit powers of others just by touching it," Luffy said, causing everyone's eyes to widen.

"I don't know," Luffy replied as he shrugged. "So when you find him, don't let him hold you" Luffy told Ace.

"But why is it such a stupid fruit?" Vivi's question caused Luffy to laugh.

"It was stupid because of his weakness," said Luffy, "The Dark-Dark Fruit is a Devil Fruit grade logia. All Devil Fruit class logia allow its users to transform their bodies into a specific element, at any time the user wishes. And also, every element has a weakness, and the weakness of that element would be the weakness of the Devil Fruit user itself, understand? " Luffy asked while looking at the crew and his brother trying to see if they understood what he was saying.

All nodded their heads slowly letting Luffy know that they understood part of what he was saying. "Okay, let me give you an example. My element is lightning or in other words electricity. Rubber is an insulator which means it cannot conduct electricity making it my weakness.

That means if you take a rubber stick and hit me with it, instead of it going through my body like any other attack but it can hit me, "he said causing an expression of realizing something flashed across their faces.

"So, in the case of Ace, anything water-related can hit him?" Usopp asked with a curious expression on his face.

"Right," Luffy replied.

"I still don't understand how it makes the dark-dark fruit such a stupid fruit" Nojiko said as she looked at Luffy.

"It was stupid because the element was darkness which meant the weakness of light," Luffy's words made Sanji and Usopp smile finally understanding what Luffy meant. "That means if Teach eats the fruit, he can't transform himself into another logia user during the day because of the sunlight," Luffy said with a laugh while thinking about how stupid Teach was.

"Heh, I even doubt he can turn his body into his element at night because of the moonlight" he said.

"So, wait, let me straighten this out," Ace said, drawing everyone's attention. "The only way for him to make the most of that Devil Fruit was to be in a pitch-black room?" He asked causing Luffy to chuckle and nod his head.

"You're right, that's stupid" Sanji said as he exhaled his cigarette smoke.

"Well, like that," said Luffy as he placed the book back into the crate before closing it and turning to Zoro.

"Can you put this back in my private room?" he asked while looking at Zoro. Zoro nodded before walking towards the chest and picked it up before starting to walk into Luffy's private room.

"I'll get-" Sanji said but was cut by Luffy.

"Shhhhh! I heard something," Luffy said as he raised his index finger in front of him. Everyone fell silent to try to listen to what Luffy had heard. They could all hear something but could not figure out what it was.

"What's that?" Vivi asked trying to figure out what the sound was. They stopped trying to listen, because Zoro said something.

"Guys," said Zoro caught the attention of all of them. "We have guests" he said, pointing to the front of the ship. Everyone turned their heads towards where Zoro was pointing and saw about 7 ships with Baroque Works symbols heading towards them.

Luffy narrowed his eyes and used haki observation to try to sense something on the ship.

"That's the Billion Baroque Works ship!" Vivi said in a panicked voice as she looked at the ship that was coming with fear clearly visible on her face.

"I'll take care of them" Ace said with a grin. Just as he was about to jump from the Going Merry, Luffy's voice stopped him.

"No, let them," Luffy said causing everyone to stare at him with a puzzled face.

"Huh? Why !?" Vivi yells /quests.

"Trust me" said Luffy as he walked to the left side of the deck. "Nojiko, take the wheel and make the ship calm down," Luffy said causing him to nod before walking to the wheel.

Luffy's entire crew is on guard and ready to defend against any oncoming attacks, while Luffy is relaxed and not overly concerned about threats. As they sailed closer, they all began to recognize a ship among all the Baroque Works ships that had no symbol on it, on the contrary, the ship had the skull of a dog with two crossed bones on it.

"Hey, isn't that Jiro?" Johnny asked when he saw the ship.

"That's right" Luffy replied with a grin.

"But isn't he with .. ohhhhhh!" Yosaku said as consciousness flashed across his face. Going Merry sailed between two Baroque Works ships and everyone saw all the ships filled with bounty hunters.

On the ship sailing on the left side of the Going Merry, Luffy and all his crew saw Gem, Mikita, and Marianne standing on deck staring at their captain with smiles on their faces.

"I guess everything went according to plan ?!" Luffy asked while looking at Gem.

"Yes, Captain!" Gem said as he saluted Luffy.

"Good, call me when everything's ready!" Luffy said before he turned around and looked at his bewildered crew. "Daughter, where are we going next?" Said Luffy while looking at the bewildered Vivi.

"Umm .. right," said the princess overcoming her shock. "We're going to Erumalu, the green city," he said causing Luffy to nod before staring at Nami.

"Nami, you and Vivi are planning our trip" said Luffy, taking a nod from the two, and then they walked up to the top deck. "Promise, prepare lunch for everyone," he told Sanji causing him to nod and head to the kitchen.

"You all follow Nami's orders" he added, causing Johnny, Yosaku, Usopp, and Chopper to salute before answering.

"Aye, Aye, Captain!" shout them. Luffy then looked at Ace and grinned before he spoke.

"How about we have a drink to remember the old days?" Luffy asked as he took out a bottle of whiskey.

"It looks like you're reading my mind" Ace replied with a smile.
