Chapter 66's

It was nightfall and almost everyone was sleeping in the same room as Nami. The only people standing guard were Sanji, Gem, and Yosaku. The crew had already dropped anchor for the night, as Luffy did not want to risk navigating the sea at night without Nami.

Although he himself navigates, but Luffy is not as good as Nami. Nami seems to have a sixth sense in predicting the weather and small changes in the wind. As for Luffy, he was currently lying on a beach chair made from his clouds, sleeping soundly.

After Vivi told him about Drum Kingdom, she now felt a little calmer knowing that she could save her navigator. Luffy hasn't told the rest of the crew about their next move, he waits until morning to tell them.

Luffy was awakened from his sleep by the sound of someone hitting something coming from outside. With a stagger he rose to a sitting position and then rubbed his eyes before looking out at the window, seeing that the sun had not yet appeared.

"Who woke up this early?" he asked himself, then he put his foot on the cloud, then it started to float off the floor. When the clouds were high enough from the floor, Luffy ordered the clouds to float towards the door, Luffy did not want to walk towards the door because he was unwilling to wake others and he felt a little lazy.

When the cloud reached the door, Luffy stretched out his hand and quietly opened the door before he and the cloud walked out. As soon as they floated to the deck he felt a gust of cold morning air from the winter climate.

He immediately shivered and for the first time placed his hand into the sleeve of his captain's coat before buttoning it from bottom to top.

"Who's the jerk who lowered his temperature?" ask him himself. He then heard someone hammering once again, from his right, causing him to look over there.

When he turned his head, he saw Usopp with a nail in his mouth and a hammer in his hand fixing the ship that Wapol had eaten.

"You wake up early" said Luffy as he got off his clouds and stretched his muscles.

"I can't just sit still and do nothing" Usopp replied as he nailed the wood to the side of the ship. "We have to find a way out of this problem as quickly as possible, captain," he added causing Luffy to nod.

"We have already found a plan for the future. As soon as everyone wakes up Vivi and I will explain to you all," he said, causing Usopp a little cheerful.

Luffy then heard a movement from the left direction that caused him to turn around to see who or what it was. When he turned his head, he saw Yosaku and Gem walking towards him looking very tired. Luffy then looks right up and sees Sanji coming down from the watchman pole wearing a poncho.

"For the captain" Yosaku said as he stood next to Luffy.

"The three of you look tired," Luffy said as he looked at them. "I'm up now, so the three of you can rest for a while before we leave," Luffy said causing the three of them to look at him with grateful expressions on their faces.

"Do you want me to make you something, Captain?" Sanji asked as Gem and Yosaku headed inside to sleep.

"No, no need," Luffy replied with a smile. "I can handle it myself, get some rest" he said causing Sanji to smile and get inside the ship. Luffy then walked towards the kitchen, wanting to make coffee for himself.

Before he went into the kitchen he turned towards Usopp and asked. "Do you want something, Usopp?" Luffy asked while looking over his shoulder.

"A glass of coffee seems like enough," Usopp replied causing Luffy to nod before heading to the kitchen. Just before he walked through the door, he gave a mental order to his crew to ascend into the sky for the time being.

When Luffy entered the kitchen, he put a kettle of water on the stove and turned it on. He then took out two cups of coffee and placed the coffee in both before he sat down at the table and folded his hands, waiting for the water to boil.

After waiting for about five minutes, the kettle finally whistled causing Luffy to turn off the stove and pour water into the cup. After he finished pouring, he stirred the two then lifted them up and sipped the hot coffee.

"Mmmm, this is quite delicious," Luffy said as he savored the taste of black coffee. He then picked up another glass and walked outside to Usopp. "This is it, Usopp," said Luffy handing the cup to him.

"Thank you," Usopp said as he put down his hammer and took the cup from Luffy. Luffy then left Usopp and went to the front of the ship, he jumped on top of the Going Merry head carefully so as not to spill his coffee.

He then sat down on the merry head and looked out at the sea with a smile on his face enjoying the view of the morning air. But his enjoyment is interrupted by a ringing transponder snail.

* purupurupuru** purupurupuru * the snail in Luffy's coat rang causing him to put his coffee down and put his hand into his coat and took out baby Den-Den Mushi with three familiar scars on his left eye. Luffy smiled before he pressed the button on top of the snail shell and spoke.

"Hello," he said to the snail.

"LUFFY!" came Shanks' joyful and drunk voice.

"I'm guessing you're up early because you've been drunk all night, or you're still partying from last night" Luffy said, shaking his head.

"Hmm, sleep is useless! Liquor is more fun, Hahahaha!" Shanks said causing Luffy to laugh.

"So, what's up?" Luffy asked before he took a sip of his coffee. "Looking at how you called on the secure channel, I don't think you called just to check on your favorite student" Luffy said, causing Sanks to chuckle a little. Then Luffy could sense that Shanks was getting serious.

"Ace was in Paradise ...," he said, causing Luffy to put out a serious expression on his face.

**three hours later**

It had been three hours since Luffy spoke to Shanks. Currently, he was standing on the upper deck staring at his crew. They get ready to lift the anchor and start sailing again. Nami's condition hasn't changed in the least since yesterday and is slowly getting worse and Luffy is starting to become more worried.

Usopp was still fixing the sides of the ship that the Wapol had eaten, Johnny was on the watch pole to look around, Nojiko and Vivi with Nami, Mikita and Marianne were on the main deck securing the rope, Zoro stood behind Luffy watching over everything.

Sanji, Yosaku, and Gem were still asleep after being awake all night.

"Is everyone ready to sail?" he asked while looking at Zoro.

"Yes, everyone is up and ready to leave," Zoro replied causing Luffy to nod before he turned around and looked at his crew before he spoke.

"I think I should tell everyone about our next plan" he told Zoro. "All right, everybody listen up!" Luffy said it caught everyone's attention, and made Vivi and Nojiko come out to see what Luffy wanted to say.

"Vivi told me something very interesting about the Island that Wapol was looking for," Luffy's words caused everyone except Vivi and Nojiko, to stare at him with confused expressions on their faces.

"Wapool?" Usopp asked while holding his hammer.

"Didn't he look for a place called Drum kindom?" Marianne asked causing Luffy to nod his head before he replied.

"Right, apparently this Drum Kingdom was a winter island that was famous for having the best doctors on the Grand Line," Luffy said, causing all of them to stare at him with shocked expressions on their faces.

"Wait, what is a winter island?" asked Johnny from the watchtowers.

"Distributed within the Grand Line are four island types that are distinguished by their different climates" Luffy said, making them pay attention. "There is Summer island (summer), Spring island (spring), Autumn island (autumn), and Winter island (winter)," the word Luffy caused the crew that came from East Blue to be surprised and amazed by the type of island that existed in the Grand Line.

"Wow!" we heard Usopp's astonished voice.

"Each of these islands has their own four seasons," Vivi's voice sounded which made everyone look at her. "When traveling on the Grand Line there are at least 16 types of weather patterns that you must prepare, ranging from the summer of Summer island to the winter of winter island, and everything in between," Vivi explained, causing their eyes to widen.

Even the former Baroque Works agent was a little surprised by the information. They all knew that the Grand Line had strange weather patterns, but they never knew why.

"There are always exceptions to this and you can face an unpredictable climate at any time" Luffy added.

"I think I understand," Usopp said causing Luffy to look at him with an amused expression on his face. "Grand Line has islands that are seasonally different, and that's why the ocean between them has crazy weather patterns" Usopp said.

"Right, so the closer you get to the island, the calmer the sea around you is," Luffy added before he leaned against the fence. "However Usopp, it still hasn't explained half of what happened in this place," he said causing Usopp to stare at Luffy with an amazed expression on his face.

"Excellent," Usopp replied causing Luffy to chuckle.

"Raise the anchor, we can talk while sailing" Luffy told Zoro, causing him to nod, then Zoro walked to the front of the ship and pulled the anchor. "Johnny was watching around to look for the nearest island, the water was a bit too calm" Luffy said, causing Johnny to salute his captain before he began to look over the horizon.

Everyone on board felt the Going Merry give a jolt forward when the anchor was already in lift, allowing it to move.

"Luffy," Nojiko's voice sounded as she walked towards Luffy.

"What's wrong?" Luffy asked as he looked towards Nojiko.

"Are we going to arrive in time to save Nami?" she asked in a soft voice while tears started to appear in her eyes.

"Listen," said Luffy as he placed his hand on his shoulder. "He'll be fine. If I had to, I would fly it all the way to Mary Geoise alone and make the World Government heal her," Luffy said causing Nojiko to slightly nod her head.

"Thank you, Luffy," he said.

"Don't thank me, I haven't done anything yet" he replied. Nojiko was about to reply but Zoro's voice came from Luffy's right interrupting them.

"Captain, where's that lousy chef?" Zoro asked as he walked towards them. "I'm starving" he said, causing Luffy to breath.

"Sanji, Yosaku, and Gem are sleeping. They woke up all night just in case, so let them rest," Luffy replied causing Zoro to fold his hands and speak.

"Bwm! A real man can do it without sleeping at all," he says causing Nojiko and Luffy to stare at him with sweat popping up in their heads.

'This statement comes from the man who sleeps at every opportunity he has, ' thought Luffy and Nojiko.

"How about I make you something, Mr. Bushido," Vivi's voice sounded from their left.

"You know how to cook, Princess?" Luffy asked in a surprised voice.

"Of course I know how to cook!" Shouted Vivi while folding her hands and pouting.

"A princess who was a spy and could cook, the Grand Line was indeed a strange place," Zoro said, causing Vivi's face to turn red.

Nojiko and Luffy safely took one step away from the angry princess, allowing her to walk towards the vice-captain of the Straw Hat Pirates and then beat him up.

"You women can be scary sometimes" Luffy whispered to Nojiko, which made her laugh. After Vivi finished with Zoro, she snorted and started walking towards the kitchen leaving Zoro lying on the floor with two large bumps on her head.

"I'll be in the kitchen for you hungry" said the princess as she walked past Luffy and Nojiko. Luffy and nojiko looked at Zoro, then looked at each other before they shrugged their shoulders and walked towards the kitchen.
