Chapter 48's

Luffy then slipped his weapon and spread out his hands and faster than the man or woman could react, two ropes made of electricity came out of Luffy's palm and wrapped around them.

"AHHH! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" the woman asked/ shouted. Luffy did not reply, he simply pulled the straps which caused the two of them to fly up and land on the ship.

Luffy then removed the electric rope causing it to mostly disappear leaving only a few that tied them in place.

Everyone then saw Crocus walking through the doors where the man and woman came out and disappeared.

"Now, who are you two?" Zoro asked as he walked towards the two. Sanji sat next to the woman trying to tease her, while the others only looked on as the man and woman spoke to each other in a soft tone. Soon everyone realized that the whale had stopped raging and had calmed down causing the sea that was inside its stomach to calm down as well.

"You parasites are still here!" Shouted Crocus from the top of the stairs that got everyone's attention.

"The old man is back again" Usopp said.

"I'm tired of this and for the last time. As long as I'm still breathing, you won't be able to hurt Laboon!" Crocus shouted from the top of the stairs. Immediately the two people Luffy caught earlier started laughing, they then stood up even though they were bound causing Luffy to raise his eyebrows.

"You won't be able to tell us to ignore our mission" the woman said.

"We were sent here to kill this whale and that's exactly what we're going to do, and this time we're not going to let the clian interfere! We were-" said the man, but it suddenly stopped when the electric rope that bound them gave them both a stunner that they would never forget.

"Put the socks into their mouths" Luffy said as the two of them groaned in pain on the deck of the ship. "Hey old man Crocus," said Luffy, attracting the attention of the man.

"Can we go now and talk about all this outside where my ship is not at risk of being digested" Luffy said.

"Well," said Crocus before he returned to the water and swam to his ship/island. "Follow me" he said before the island began to move towards the two giant doors. When the door opened, the two ships began sailing through the canal inside the whale.

"Why does this whale have a canal in it?" Johnny asked.

"Call this the creative mind of the doctor" replied Crocus. "It's impossible to care for a whale of this size, so I have to figure out a way to deal with it" he said, causing the straw hats to nod their heads to show they understood.

When they reached the end of the canal, they found a set of doors. When they got to the doorway Crocus pointed his ship/island to it and pulled a lever that caused the door to open. When the door opened, everyone was instantly exposed to the sunlight which caused them all to smile.

They sailed out of the whales and anchored the ship beside the Twin Capes where Crocus lived. The entire crew got off the ship and went to a small island connected to the Red line that had a lighthouse.

"Sanji," Luffy said as he exited the ship, getting his attention. "What if you make lunch, considering how we can't eat because the marine bothers us," Luffy said causing Sanji to nod.

"I'll prepare some bluefin tuna that I got in Logue Town," he said happily. After thirty minutes Sanji reappeared from the ship carrying several plates of food that looked very delicious. "Lunch is ready" he said as he placed all the dishes in front of everyone including Crocus.

"It looks delicious, thank you Sanji," Nojiko said.

"Anything for you, my beloved Nojiko!" Sanji answered with heart in his eyes. Luffy took out two glasses and placed one in front of Crocus before he poured both of them whiskey.

"The whale's name is Laboon. He's a unique and remarkable creature, the Island whale, one of the largest species in the world that can only be found in the West Blue" he said before sipping the whiskey Luffy poured for him.

"The two men were hunting Laboon for his flesh. A whale the size of a Laboon could feed a small island for at least two years" he said.

"So, who are the two of them," Johnny said. "Hey, where are they?" he then asked after looking at the ship and seeing they were already gone.

"I think my lightning ties disappeared and they blurred," Luffy said as he shrugged before Looking at Crocus waiting for him to continue.

"There's a reason he keeps smashing himself into the red line and howling in Reverse Mountain," Crocus said before he ate some food. "Inside Laboon beats the human heart and is completely loyal to a certain group of pirates," he says causing Luffy to raise his eyebrows.

"Look, Laboon followed a group of pirates all the way from the West Blue and until entering the Grand Line. When they arrived here at the Twin Capes, their ship was so badly damaged that they spent several months here trying to repair it.

After they had repaired the ship, they decided to sail, and since the Grand Line was so dangerous they had to leave Laboon here, but before they left they promised him they would definitely return for him, "she said with a sad expression on her face. "It's been 50 years since the incident" he said, causing everyone's eyes to widen.

"Don't you think 50 years is a bit extreme" Usopp said as he finished his meal. "The pirate must know how to test one's patience" Usopp said.

"Bas an idiot, this is the Grand Line" said Zoro from his place next to Luffy. The pirate group is most likely dead" he said.

"Sad to say but it might be true" Nami said among her mouthfuls. "At that time when they were sailing, the Grand Line was an uncharted ocean, thousands of times more valuable than it is now" he said.

"Come on, Big sis" said Yosaku. "They might still be able to come back for him, sympathize a little bit" he said making Luffy laugh. That's a funny thing to hear, pirates have sympathy.

"You may believe that, but the reality is cruel," Crocus said, drawing their attention once again. "The pirates did not die, in fact they abandoned their adventure. I know they turned around and left the Grand Line," he said causing them all to look on sadly.

"Dasae is a bunch of cowards who would rather save themselves than keep a promise to a friend," Nojiko said angrily causing everyone to nod.

"That's an incredible cruelty" Johnny said. Luffy only looked at the whale with a serious expression on his face.

"Did you tell him?" Luffy asked while not taking his eyes off Laboon.

"Yes, every detail is sad" he said sadly. "That was the day Laboon started howling in Reverse Mountain. Not long after, he started slamming his body into the Red Line, as if he believed that the wall was the one that distanced himself and his friends, he said, if he can destroy it then they will be right back" Crocus said causing the bounty hunter duo to cry a little along with Usopp.

"Laboon is a lost soul who wants to be with his friends and just kill himself trying to meet them" he said. Luffy got up from his seat and walked to the side of the Twin Capes towards Laboon and looked at the whale.

Then from the clear blue sky, a bolt of lightning descended and hit the whale causing it to roar in pain and anger.

"I want to fight you stupid whale!" Luffy shouted at the whale. Everyone started to panic at what Luffy was trying to do.
