Thunder Demon Luffy's

Thunder Demon Luffy's
Chapter 40's

That was when he turned around he saw something that made him raise his eyebrows. It was the bar named 'Bar Gold Roger' causing Luffy to raise his eyebrows in curiosity.

He decided to investigate the bar and walked inside. The bar was empty and old. There was dust everywhere, chairs flipped over on the table, and there were cobwebs everywhere.

The only person there was a short old man sitting at one of the tables with a skull in front of him along with two glasses of liquor, one for him and one for the skull.

"Sorry, do you work here?" Luffy asked as he walked in. "The sign outside says this place is called Gold Roger, How did this bar get that name?" Luffy asked again before the man could answer his first question.

The man looked at Luffy through his sunglasses with calculating eyes before he replied.

"Well," he said in a fierce voice. "It's not a place for a kid like you" he said, causing Luffy's eyebrows to twitch. "At some point we're closed for good starting today" he said, pouring himself a drink.

"You're going bankrupt?" Luffy asked as he walked over and sat down on one of the bar stools.

"I wasn't broke, I decided to close it myself" he said before putting a liquor bottle on the table in front of him. "I'm retired" he said again with a sigh.

"Sorry, I was just curious about the name," Luffy said before he took out his own glass along with a bottle of whiskey and poured himself a drink.

"I was looking for an execution platform, but I got lost. Can you tell me the way?" luffy asked before his eyes focused on the skull that was on the table. The skull looked like a human skull but was too big for a human.

"I've got a better question, where did you get that skull from?" Luffy asked.

"Killer Giant, one of the most feared villains that haunts the waters of the Grand Line," the old man said before shoving his glass in front of the skull. "He had sent hundreds of pirates to the grave during his lifetime, but it only took one strike for Gold Roger to defeat the giant for good" he said with a smile that caused Luffy's eyes to widen.

"Gold Roger killed him?" Luffy asked in a surprised voice. The man threw his hand into the air earlier and shouted.

"With lightning speed!" the old man shouted before lowering his hand. "I tell you the Killer Giant is known for using his greatsword but that doesn't matter, the whole fight is over before he can even raise his sword," she said it caused Luffy to smile broadly as he listened to stories about his idol.

"And here is the scar that killed him" he said, pointing to the hollow part of the skull. "The Killer Giant is a terrible human being, but he declared with his dying breath, 'Gold Roger I take off my hat for you. You will forever be the Pirate King, '" said the old man causing Luffy goosebumps and a wide grin appeared on his face.

"Excellent, tell me more," Luffy said in an excited voice.

"Eric Dowd, the man known as the king; Silver Silver, the greatest shooter in the world; The Grounds Brothers, they are all famous for their power, they are all famous for their, the indestructible demon that everyone feared, but not Gold Roger," he said with a sigh before looking down.

"Nobody wants to hear my story anymore" he said in a sad voice. Luffy's entire body shivered in excitement.

"Don't be in a hurry," said the old man as he twirled his liquor. "Gold Roger, he was the only person I knew back then and probably until now, who wasn't afraid of entering the Grand Line" he said as he stared at his drink.

"At that time the Grand Line was a mysterious place. The ship that chose to sail there was never heard from again. It was a cruel sea that people feared, so few people dared to approach. Gold Roger came here the day before he sailed to the Grand Line and drank here until the bar supplies dried up, before leaving the next morning as if he were going for a walk, "said the old man.

Luffy could hardly resist all the fun he had just heard from the old man's story. "Then when I heard he conquered the Grand Line, I wasn't surprised. I'm glad he's the one who conquered that evil sea. On this day 22 years ago the Gold Roger died on that platform and that's when it all started ', called The Great Pirate Era, where everyone on board claims themselves as pirates. But look at this once great city, I'm sure you can't find a real pirate, who's just a coward and a piece of trash" he said before sipping his drink.

Luffy also gulped down his drink before he could control back his emotions and spoke.

"I myself couldn't say it better," he said agreeing with the old man's conclusion about The Great Pirate Era.

"The "men brave enough to enter the Grand Line had all disappeared from these waters. There are no real pirates left in the world, that's why I closed the bar" the old man said with a sad look in his eyes.

"I'm going to the Grand Line," said Luffy causing the old man's eyes to widen. "Or rather return to the Grand Line," he said, causing the man's eyes to widen in shock.

"Gold Roger is a perfect example of how a pirate should be. That's why I went to the Grand Line, found One Piece, and became the Pirate King!" Luffy proclaimed causing a look of recognition to flash across the old man's eyes.

"That's a pretty big word," he said as he looked at Luffy. "More because you're in this bar, too,"

"I just said what I believed," Luffy said causing the old man to laugh.

"Young man, if there's still someone like you out there, should I close this bar?" he asked Luffy.

"I don't know, maybe it's just me" he replied. The old man got up from his seat and started walking towards Luffy.

"That's right, it's probably just you, '" he said as he walked towards Luffy with a big smile on his face. "Then let's have a drink, it's been a long time since my mood has been this good" he said before walking behind the bar.

"I was just drinking whiskey" Luffy said as he turned from his chair to face the old man. The man chuckled before taking out two glasses of whiskey.

"How about this," he said as he placed the glass on the table. "Let's raise our glasses and drink to the eternal Pirate King" he said as he took off his hat. Luffy smiled and took off his hat as well before he spoke.

"Cheers to the Pirate King," Luffy said as he cheered with the old man before they chugged the whiskey glass.
