Chapter 60's

When they got to the rock, Dorry sat the three of them down before he started making fire and cutting the dinosaurs. Luffy decided to help her speed up the process, and then Luffy spoke.

"Dorry," said Luffy loudly to let him hear, "Why don't you let me light a fire, while you prepare meat," Luffy said as he walked into the large pile of wood.

"Gegyagyagya! You're so nice" he said in a joyful voice before stepping aside and making Luffy light a fire.

"At least that's all I can do after everything you've done for us for lunch," he said before he pointed with his right index finger at the firewood which caused a small lightning strike to appear and burned a small piece of wood.

Luffy repeated the process about five times on five pieces of wood that caused them to burn as well. After about two minutes, the fire started to ignite causing Luffy to nod in satisfaction before he walked backwards towards Vivi and sat down on the log with her.

After Dorry finished cutting the meat, he placed it on the fire to cook, then he sat down in front of the giant stone and started talking to Luffy and Vivi.

"Mr Dorry," said Vivi politely asking for the giant's attention. "How long does it take to reset the log pose on this island?" Vivi asked causing Luffy to stare at Dorry, wanting to know the answer as well.

"One full year!" dorry said with a smile that caused Luffy's eyes to widen and Vivi to faint.

"One year?" Luffy asked causing Dorry to nod his head before he replied.

"True, most people never survive that one year," he said causing Luffy to raise his eyebrows. "They usually die from the environment or are eaten by animals" he said before flipping the meat over the fire.

Luffy then sighed and rubbed his forehead and began to think. He needs to deliver Vivi to Alabasta quickly to stop the war or he can't make Alabasta his territory, and he also has no intention of waiting a full year for it.

If he waited for an entire year, there might not be any country left for him to make his territory. He could have risked the possibility of flying to Alabasta alone and buying the plasterboard pose there and returning and sailing with the entire crew, but he had no idea how long it would take to find Alabasta.

"This matter turned into a huge headache," Luffy said with a sigh as he began massaging his temple. At that time Dorry took the meat from the fire and put a large piece of dinosaur in front of the two of them.

"Eat my friends" he said before taking another piece of fire and biting it. Luffy walked around the log and shook Vivi. He then pulled out his sword and cut two pieces of meat for her and Karoo before he cut one for himself. Vivi took the piece from Luffy before looking at him with tears in her eyes. Luffy smiled at her as he placed his hand on her shoulder before she spoke.

Don't worry, "luffy said in a calm voice." I said I would take you home and stop the war and I would definitely do it, "luffy said causing Vivi to smile a little before she nodded at him.

Luffy then sat down and then bit his flesh. "Dorry," said Luffy attracted the giant's attention. "I didn't mean to bother but why did you stay here alone? Don't you have a village as your home? "Ask Luffy caused Dorry to smile before he replied.

"Why?" Luffy asked wondering why he left the home of the giants.

"There are certain rules in Elbaf that must be obeyed," he said letting Luffy understand. "For example, when a fight occurs and neither side gives up, Judgment will be handed over to the god Elbaf.

Whoever he thinks is right will be declared victorious and given divine salvation and protection" he said before taking his flesh and biting it again.

"This place is a battleground. We've been fighting for a century and Elbaf hasn't picked a champion yet, Gegyagyagya!" he said it caused Luffy and Vivi's eyes to widen for two different reasons.

"Even with all the time in the world, will not your desire be diminished after a hundred years of the same battle?" Vivi asked while standing up. "At this point is there still real animosity left between the two of you or are you just fighting to fight?" Vivi asked, making Dorry and Luffy laugh.

'He really is a pacifist, ' Luffy thought to himself. Suddenly one of the volcanoes on the left erupted which caused everyone to look towards the mountain.

"That was quite a powerful explosion," Luffy said as he bit his flesh and stared at the Volcano.

"Alright, it's time to leave," Dorry said before he got up from his sitting position causing Luffy and Vivi to look at him in bewilderment.

It was then that Luffy noticed something about Dorry, his entire behavior changed, his eyes turned cold, his smile disappeared, and his posture turned into a warrior preparing for war. The volcano then erupted a second time before Dorry spoke.

"I'm sorry, but there's something I have to take care of" he said as he took his shield and sword. "That's the signal my opponent used to mark the beginning of our fight," he said causing Luffy to nod his head signaling he understood.

"And as to why we fight .. we already don't remember, Gegyagyagya!" said it.

"It doesn't make sense. How can you have so much hatred for someone that you can fight them for a whole century?" Vivi asked as she looked at the towering giant. "What makes you this angry?" Vivi asks causing Luffy to cut her off.

"Vivi has had enough," he said as he placed his hand in front of Vivi's face stopping her. "It's not a problem like that, okay?" luffy said as he felt the ground begin to tremble.

"You're right .. It's about honor," Dorry said as he narrowed his eyes at his approaching opponent before he went towards him.

Luffy and Vivi only looked on as the two giants fought two different reactions, Luffy watched in awe at the scale of the battle going on in front of them while Vivi was disgusted at the fact that the two were fighting for no reason whatsoever.
