Chapter 47's

"It seems that inside the house there is someone," Zoro said as he looked at the man with narrowed eyes.

"I think we should fire our cannons in there!" Usopp said as he pointed at the man.

"No, wait a minute," Sanji said while keeping his guard up. When Luffy saw the man, he immediately knew who he was, after hearing about him from Shanks, but Luffy would not say anything.

He wanted to see what his crew would do. They all looked at the old man as he walked out of the house without taking his eyes off the crew while he walked to the park chair.

The tension grew and Luffy could see some of the brave crews had started to sweat a little. Everyone expected the man to attack or something, but otherwise, he simply stared at them as he walked over to the chair which made them all nervous before he flopped down on the park chair and started reading the newspaper.

"DO YOU NOT WANT TO SAY SOMETHING" Shouted Sanji to the old man.

"Hey, if you want to fight we can fight," Usopp said from inside the cabin causing Luffy to sweat.

‘It looks like he's back to his old self,’ thought Luffy in a flat tone.

"We've got cannons here, asshole!" USopp shouted once more from inside the cabin as he pointed at the old man. The old man's eyes narrowed slightly as he stared at them once more, which caused the tension to rise again, making everyone sweat. While Luffy was trying to hide his amused smile.

"If you do, someone will die," the old man said in a serious voice causing Usopp to slightly scream while Zoro and Sanji squinted and prepared to attack with Nojiko right behind them while Nami ran into the cabin with Usopp.

"Yes, and who is it?" Sanji asked.

"I am of course," said the old man who caused Luffy to start laughing.

"Crocus, can you stop scaring the kids, please" Luffy said with a laugh before he stepped forward.

"Who are you and why are you interrupting my jokes" Crocus said in an annoyed voice.

"I'm a friend of Redhead Shanks and Rayleigh," Luffy said, making everyone wonder who Rayleigh was. Luffy saw Crocus' eyes widen before he chuckled.

"Oh Ho, it's been a long time since I heard those names," he said as he placed the newspaper in his hand. "How are they doing? It's been a long time since I've seen one of them" he said.

"They're fine, I can tell you all about them if you tell me where we are and how we can get back to the outside world" Luffy said.

"I think it's very clear that you've been eaten by a giant whale" he said, causing the crew's eyes to widen. "And the way out is there" he said, pointing to the side so that everyone looked up and saw two giant iron doors in the belly of the whale.

"Okay, I'm not a whale specialist, but I'm sure they don't usually have a giant iron door on the side of their belly" Yosaku said as he leaned against his bisento. Before anyone could reply, the entire place trembled as if it was an earthquake that caused the calm water to become turbulent.

"What happened !?" Nojiko shouted as he and everyone on board tried to keep their balance on board, as the ship swayed against rough waters.

"LOOK!" Nami yells getting everyone's attention as Nami points at the island. "It's not an island, it's some kind of ship!" He shouted as he pointed towards the island of Crocus, which caused all of them to look and see at the bottom of the island made of iron.

"Yes of course, because we are now floating in a sea of stomach acid" Usopp said as he looked.

"That means the wooden boat won't survive if we stay here for too long" Sanji said.

"What's wrong with this strange whale, old man !?" Yosaku yells at Crocus. Crocus got up from his chair and looked up at the fake sky before he replied.

"He was very angry" Crocus said in a sad tone. "This earthquake was the result of him hitting his head against the Red Line," he said surprising the crew except for Luffy who already knew that.

"That explains why she has so many scars on her forehead" Nami said as she clung to the side of the ship. "And not to mention all the howls he let out," he added.

"But why did he do it?" Johnny asked.

"That's because he's suffering," Luffy said as he leaned into the cabin.

"And what happened to the old man?" Nojiko asked.

"He most likely tried to kill this whale from the inside," Nami said causing everyone except Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji to let out a horrified expression.

"It's a very insulting thing to do" Usopp said.

"Okay, we found this mystery whale, now how about we find a way out of its stomach before it digests us" Zoro said, looking back at the rest of the crew.

"We have no right to judge the old man, nor do we need to save the pope. All we need to do is focus on how to get out of here" Sanji said as he and Zoro began walking towards Luffy. Just as Luffy was about to say something, Crocus did something that shocked everyone. He jumped into the stomach acid.

"Is he crazy! The acid will eat him alive" Luffy said as he stared at the spot where he jumped.

"Luffy we have to get out of here!" Shouted Nami.

"We can't" Luffy said, causing their eyes to widen. "The pope is most likely underwater now, when we open those doors we will sink to the bottom of the Grand Line" he said, surprising them even more.

"So, we stay here and die?" Yosaku.

"Don't be an idiot, the whale had to go up to look for air sooner or later," he said causing them to relax and nod. Two minutes later the old man reappeared next to the two giant doors and began to climb the stairs that were right next to him.

As he climbed the stairs, the smaller doors that were at the top of the stairs opened and from there two individuals came out with weapons in their hands. They pointed their guns at Crocus and pulled the trigger.
