Thunder Demon Luffy's
Chapter 118's

"Chopper," called Luffy with a sigh. "Go, and take care of him," Luffy ordered, causing the little deer to rush forward with his little blue medical bag.

"Hey! You two!" Luffy shouted to Zoro and Sanji. "Take him home" he added before turning around and starting walking towards the house with Usopp, Nami, and Nojiko following behind him. After Zoro and Sanji put the man into the house, they placed him on the bed so that Chopper could check on him.

"I don't understand why we should treat him" Nami said, folding her arms. "He's attacking us" he added with a huff.

"We treated him because he is Mont Blanc Cricket" Luffy said, drawing their attention. "Don't you hear that he called this place his home when he jumped out of the water?" luffy asked, making them all think back before only a few of them nodded their heads.

"So it's obvious if we want to know about the Stream knock-up, we need it to stay alive" Luffy finished his explanation, making all nod their heads.

"Okay, I need more towels" Chopper told the crew. "He had Caisson's disease" said the little deer.

"What is Caisson's disease?" Nojiko asked as she looked at Chopper.

"It is a disease that is often suffered by divers, the duration of the disease will not be long, but it can be fatal if the person overextends himself. This is due to a lack of decompression when returning from the seabed," Chopper explained, causing a proud smile to form on Luffy's face.

"Nitrogen in the blood is released too quickly and causes gas bubbles to form in the circulatory system. When the bubbles enlarge, they can cause serious damage to a person's muscles and joints and seriously reduce blood flow," the doctor explained as he placed a wet cloth over Cricket's forehead.

"Do you think you can help him, Chopper?" Nojiko asked. Chopper thought about it for a few seconds before he answered Nojiko's question.

"I'm not sure" replied Chopper in a low voice. "My guess is that he kept diving every day without letting his body rest and eventually the disease got worse" Chopper added, causing them to nod in understanding.

"That's why he fainted during a fight. He's lucky to be alive" he added grimly. Luffy was about to say something, but before he could Masira and the pirates they met before reaching Jaya appeared in the doorway and shouted into the house.

"Hey, old man, you're fine!" they shouted as they stuck their heads out of the door. Everyone inside just stared at the two ape-like men and blinked a few times while the two ape men did exactly the same thing.

About ten seconds passed before the two men shouted at the entire crew of straw hats. "What are you monsters doing to old man !?" they scream/ask.

"We tried to help her," Nojiko replied as she folded her arms under her chest. "So, you can either help us or get out" Nojiko added in a stern tone. The two men stared at her for about five seconds before tears started to flow down their faces and they started crying uncontrollably.

"Thank you guys!" say them while sniffling. Causing everyone to look at them strangely.

‘Do they cry?’ Luffy asked himself as he stared at the two strange men. After Masira and her friend stopped crying, everyone except Chopper and Nami went outside and sat down by the tree stump where they found a book about Noland.

Luffy and the two men started talking while waiting for Cricket to regain consciousness. They talked for about half an hour before Chopper ran out of the house.

"Luffy!" the hopper yelled getting all their attention. "He was awake" Chopper said, causing Luffy and the two monkeys to start walking into the house. When they got there, they saw Cricket sitting on the bed smoking cigarettes.

"I'm sorry for attacking you" Cricket said. "I thought you were here to steal my gold" he said. Luffy walked in and sat down on one of the chairs before he took out a glass and poured whiskey before speaking.

"No problem" Luffy said as he poured whiskey. "We're here just looking for information on how to get to Sky Island" Luffy said, causing Cricket to raise his eyebrows before he started laughing nonstop, which caused Luffy this time to raise his eyebrows.

"Sky Island?" Cricket asked with a laugh. "The place doesn't exist" he said before starting to laugh once more. When Cricket laughed, he realized that neither Luffy nor his crew members laughed at him, they all showed serious faces while staring at him, causing Cricket to stop laughing.

"There's only one person who claims to have been to Sky Island and he's a well-known liar" Cricket added, causing Zoro and Chopper to immediately turn around and stare at Usopp.

"NOT ME, YOU IDIOT!" Usopp shouted at the two of them, causing Luffy to laugh amusedly. Cricket then begins to explain the true story of Noland and the fact that he himself is a descendant of Noland.

After he finished telling them about his destiny to restore his family's good name, he grabbed onto the bookshelf and took out an old book and handed it to Nami. It was Noland's notebook that had details of his journey. Luffy and Robin's interest is shaken at the sight of the book, the book in Nami's hands is more than 400 years old.

Nami then starts reading from Noland's notebook about his adventures and how they see the sky fish, causing Usopp, Chopper, and Nami to become more excited.

"It was great and so on" Luffy said in a calm tone, which caught everyone's attention. "But you still haven't told me what I want to hear" Luffy said again, staring at the old man.

"You're right" said Luffy, agreeing with Robin before returning to Cricket. "Tell me where I can find Knock up-Stream," added Luffy in a serious tone that caused Cricket and the brothers' monkey eyes to widen in shock.

"-You know about the knock up-stream?" Cricket asked in a surprised tone as he looked at the boy with the straw hat. Luffy nodded his head before taking a sip of his drink. "Why risk your life for a place you didn't even know existed?" Cricket asked Luffy who caused him to laugh.

"Adventure," Luffy replied with a grin that caused all of his crew to smile as well. "And whether Sky Island exists or not .. it really does exist" Luffy said in a confident tone.

"I've been to a lot of Sky Islands in New World, and I know someone who's been to a place where we're going" Luffy added, causing Cricket's eyes and the monkey brothers to widen.

"You ever been to Sky Island?" Masira asked in an astonished voice, which was answered with a nod by Luffy.

"You know someone who's been to Sky Island where Noland went?" Cricket asked, causing Luffy to nod his head again. "WHO?" Cricket asked.

"Shanks the Red Hairy," replied Luffy before sipping his whisky. "20 years ago, the Kings Pirates were now named Gol D. Roger had once gone to Skypiea on his way to conquer the Grand Line. Shanks was a member of that crew and I was a member of Shanks' crew" Luffy explained, wowing everyone including his crew. They all stared at Luffy with amazed expressions on their faces.

"Excellent," said the monkey brothers simultaneously, as they stared at Luffy with admiration in their eyes.

"So, how am I supposed to find an up-stream Knock?" Luffy asked once again made everyone out of their admiration. Cricket then got up from his bed and started walking outside.

"Follow me" Cricket said, causing Luffy and everyone to rise up and follow him out. They were all standing around the tree stump and staring at Cricket who placed his hand on his waist.

"Now listen, knock-up-stream is the only way to get to Sky Island. This stream is streaking straight up so that, in theory, it can take you to the sky if you're lucky" Cricket said as he looked at them .

"Wait, so you're saying that these currents can actually make a ship fly?" Nojiko asked sounded a bit skeptical about everything. "Wouldn't it just cause us to fall back into the sea and crash into pieces?" she asked.

"It's usually true, unless you can manage the timing appropriately" Cricket replied as he folded his hand. "It's a different thing if you sit here comfortably and think that it would be easy to ride a knock-up-stream, however, you'll get a hard slap. Knock-up-streams are as dangerous as any storm and they should be avoided at all costs" Cricket said, fearing Chopper and Usopp.

Cricket then begins to explain what causes Knock up-Stream, making Usopp and Chopper even more afraid of Nami and Nojiko as well. They all slowly turned their heads towards Luffy, hoping to see their captain undo his intention to leave, but what they saw really frightened them.

They saw Luffy showing a happy smile on his face.

"That sounds fun" Luffy said in an excited tone.

"But Luffy," Usopp said attracted the attention of his captain. "I don't think Merry will make it past something like that" Usopp said as he pointed to their ship, causing Luffy to sigh. He couldn't help but agree with his snipers, Merry wasn't made to handle the danger from the Grand Line.

"That boy is right" Cricket said. "Even if the ship was new, it would still be smashed to pieces by knock-up-streams" he added.

"You heard it Luffy" said Usopp. "We'd better not go" proposed Usopp who was very frightened.

"Don't worry, I'll ask Masira and Shoujou to fix your ship and strengthen it" Cricket's words caused Luffy to smile as Usopp's head fell.

"Luffy, what about the post log" Nami said, deciding to help Usopp. "We can only stay here one more day before the log pose is reset" Nami said while holding the log pose.

"That's right" Usopp said with a big smile on his face. "We don't even know when this up-stream knock will happen" Usopp said.

"The next knock-up-stream will happen tomorrow around noon," Cricket said, causing Luffy to chuckle while Nami and Usopp sweated. "Now, let's have lunch" Cricket said as he began walking back inside the house with Luffy following right behind him.
