Chapter 11's

"It's disappointing" Zoro said as he looked at Luffy and asked, "Don't you say I'm the only member of your crew?" Zoro asked Luffy.

"Indeed," said Luffy as he set his gaze on the roof of one of the houses and continued to stare there.

"Who is that girl?" Zoro asked as he walked up and stood next to Luffy and looked up to see what his captain was looking at.

"Come on," said Luffy. When he said that, the girl who was earlier, stuck her head out from the roof to peek and see if Luffy and Zoro were dead.

However the girl was immediately shocked to see they were still alive and the three pirates who had previously chased her were lying on the ground with blood flowing around their bodies.

The girl then looked at Luffy and got goosebumps when her eyes met the cold eyes of the boy wearing the straw hat. The girl then looked at the three pirates who were about to die before speaking.

"You guys are really strong!" he said as he jumped down from the roof and landed on the balcony of the house. "Even though you are outnumbered and they have swords, you can defeat them" said the girl. Luffy continued to look at her emotionlessly on his face before he spoke.

"the speech came out of the girl who framed us a few minutes ago," Luffy said. "Who are you?" Luffy asked causing the girl to smile widely before replying.

"I'm a talented thief who steals only from pirates, my name is Nami!" He said happily. Luffy was about to speak, but before he could, the girl spoke again in an excited tone.

"Hey! Do you guys want to cooperate with me !?" The girl asked, sounding very excited thinking about the results she would get when cooperating with the two strangers in front of her. Luffy turned to leave before he spoke.

"Thank you for the offer but I don't need thieves, especially people who endanger the lives of two innocent civilians just to save their own lives" Luffy said before walking away with Zoro.

Nami clenched her fists and stared at the ground with a slight feeling of embarrassment as Luffy said that, he then looked up to see Luffy and Zoro walking away, these are two very powerful people who can really help her in achieving her goals and Nami will not let an opportunity like this pass just because they see the part of her that really isn't hers.

Nami jumps off the balcony and yells at them while running to chase them.

"Wait on! Waitaminute! I'm not like that!" Nami yelled as she ran towards them, "At least think about my offer for a while before you turn it down" Nami said as she finally caught up with them.

Luffy and Zoro stopped walking and turned towards him before Luffy spoke.

"Listen Nami, I'm sure you're a good girl and so on, but as I said before, I don't need thieves. Unless you have other skills that might be useful on the high seas, if there's nothing we don't need to work together," Luffy said with a sigh.

He knew he couldn't judge Nami based on the first meeting earlier, it wasn't fair to him. Nami then smiles broadly telling Luffy that he has skills that might be useful.

"I'm the most skilled navigator you've ever met!" Nami said proudly with a big smile on her face. Luffy looked at her and smiled back before speaking.

"A navigator? Now it's the person I'm looking for," Luffy said making Nami's smile widen, but his smile soon disappeared as Luffy spoke again.

"How about you join my crew. I'm looking for a navigator" said Luffy. As Luffy said that Nami stopped smiling and yelled at Luffy.

"No!" nami exclaimed at Luffy, "I guess you two are pirates right?" Nami asked, getting a nod from Luffy and Zoro. Nami clenched her fists and shouted at Luffy and Zoro,

"There is nothing in this world that I hate more than pirates! I just love money and oranges!" He shouted causing Luffy to look at him with sad eyes.

It is clear that the pirate has done something to Nami or someone close to her. It was a common occurrence in this world, pirates attacked a village and destroyed the lives of many innocent people which caused them to develop hatred towards all pirates.

Luffy placed his hand on Nami's shoulder before he spoke to her in a voice warmer than his previous cold voice.

"You know .. Not all pirates are as evil as you've come across," Luffy said causing Nami to stare at him with wide eyes.

"How do you know I've met an evil pirate !?" Nami asked/ shouted. Luffy sighed and looked around before he spoke.

"Don't talk in the open like this. I'm sure you don't want Buggy's men to find you" Luffy said as he began walking toward one of the abandoned houses.

Zoro, who had remained silent throughout this uproar following his captain into the house, a very confused and angry Nami also followed Luffy. The group enters the abandoned house of a family in hopes of getting away from Buggy.

While inspecting the closet in the house, Luffy's eyes were as wide as dinner plates, Zoro saw this and decided to check on his captain.

"You okay, Captain?" Zoro asked. Luffy took the bottle from the closet and showed it to Zoro before he spoke.

"This is a 12-year-old bottle of Suntory Yamazaki Single Malt Whiskey!" Luffy said excitedly causing Zoro and Nami to roll their eyes at his behavior.

"Yes, why? It's just whiskey" Nami said, leaving Luffy shocked and a little angry.

"Just whiskey? JUST WHISKEY !?" Luffy shouted surprising Nami and Zoro. In the short time that Zoro knew Luffy, he rarely saw Luffy express his emotions.

So, to see her here now let out an expression other than cold and calm was something that Zoro knew he would not see her again for quite some time.

"This bottle of whiskey costs 250,000 bellies!" Luffy shouted making both Zoro and Nami's eyes widen hearing the price. Nami's eyes instantly turned into a buy sign as she thought about selling the bottle.

Luffy noticed Nami's eyes and immediately shouted at her. "Don't you try Nami?" he yelled removing the thought from nami's head. Luffy then walked over to the dining room table, sat down and poured whiskey into the glass.

Luffy looked towards Zoro to see him walking with a bottle of sake in his hand while sitting next to Luffy and guessing that Zoro preferred sake over whiskey. Luffy then looked at Nami who was next to them, choosing to stand by the window and look out.

Luffy took a sip of his drink and smiled feeling the taste. He is distracted while enjoying the whiskey by Nami's voice.

"So, are you going to tell me how you know I met an evil pirate?" She asked. Before Luffy could answer his question, Nami spoke once again, "As far as I know, all pirates are nothing more than trash. All they do is destroy the lives of innocent people and then leave happily," Nami said with anger and hate in her voice.

Before he could speak again, Luffy decided to say something.

"I suspect the pirates you met were scum from the earth and they hurt you or someone close to you. I can understand why you hate pirates so much, but you shouldn't judge all pirates based on your interaction with one of them" Luffy said as he looked at Nami from the corner of his eye.

"Ten years ago a group of pirates came to my village. At first we were all afraid of them and thought they were going to attack the village and kill everyone, but instead, they were good people who played with the children and helped the citizens around the village. They stayed in my village for about two months and when they left, they took me and taught me everything I knew, "said Luffy to Nami and Zoro's surprise.

Nami looked at Luffy with great surprise and jealousy written all over her face.

'why do pirates like them not come to my village.. no. .. that monster!' Nami thought to herself furiously. He was taken out of his mind by Luffy's voice.

"This straw hat was given to me by the captain of the pirate crew as a promise. Promise to meet again when I become King of the pirates!" Luffy said as he held the straw hat in his hand while smiling lovingly at him, "I appreciate this hat more than my own life. This is my treasure," Luffy said as he placed the straw hat back on his head and turned to Nami and spoke.

"So Nami, join my crew and let's shake the whole world" Luffy said with a big smile on his face. Nami looked at her smile and could not help but reply.

"I would never humble myself just to be a pirate" Nami said causing Luffy to frown, "However," adding Nami made Luffy's face bright once again in the hope that he would join in,

"I don't think it matters if we can work together to achieve our common goals" Nami said, making Luffy smile at her before she looked at Zoro and raised her glass.

"This is for our new navigator!" Luffy exclaimed at Zoro as he raised their glass and drank what was left in the glass. Luffy then stood up, picked up the expensive bottle of whiskey and placed it on his coat.

Nami saw this and looked at him strangely, Luffy saw the way he looked at her and spoke. "What's? I'm a pirate" he said causing Nami to shake her head.

"So, what are your orders, Captain?" Zoro asked as he stood with his captain. Luffy wiped the smile on his face and once again used an emotionless expression before he spoke.

"Let's go see Buggy and beat him up" Luffy replied as he walked out of the house. Zoro smiled thinking he would get a chance to fight while Nami looked very frightened.

"B-Buggy?" Nami asked in a scared voice. Luffy looked at her and spoke.

"Yes, he's the reason we came here. I'd ask him to join my crew, but after seeing what he's done here, I decided to beat him up," luffy said as they continued walking to where Buggy and his crew were.
