CHAPTER 99 - Save Him

Dave panicked to see blood on the knife. "Are you guys okay?" ask again.

Rayn felt fine, the condition scared her even more. He then looked at Lucia with a worried face. "Lussia are you okay?" ask her again to Lucia.

If Rayn is okay, then the only person injured is Lucia. Rayn let go of his embrace, she clasped both of Lucia's cheeks. Lucia's face looked pale but she could still smile in relief seeing Rayn saved and fine.

"Thank God you're fine Rayn" Lucia said with a disjointed breath.

Lucia was still trying to endure the pain she was feeling, but her body was getting weaker. Ryan immediately grabbed back the body of Lucia who fell in his arms. Rayn sensed something had wetted her hand as she clasped onto Lucia's body. With a trembling Rayn tried to flip her palm where one hand was still hugging onto Lucia's body.

Rayn saw his hands filled with blood. "Blood?" said Rayn lirih.

Lucia was no longer able to survive, she was immediately unconscious in Rayn's arms. "Lussia, Lu...Lucia" called Rayn in a trembling voice.

Rayn immediately sat down with Lucia's body restrained, trying to wake Lucia up. "Lussia, open your eyes. Lucia, please open your eyes. Lucy!" rayn shouted with a facial expression that also began to turn pale.

Morgan successfully injures Lucia before Ryan flips her body to protect her. Rayn's late to protect Lucia. While Lucia's concern for Rayn's safety makes him unconscious if he is injured or feels pain.

Ryan hands Morgan's business to Dave, and immediately carries Lucia's body to take her to the Hospital.

Lucia struggled to regain her consciousness. "Lussia, please hold on" Rayn said.

When out of the Cafe, along came Kelvin's car that stopped in front of the Cafe. "What's wrong with Lucia?" ask Kelvin.

"Help me take him to the hospital" Rayn told Kelvin.

Kelvin opens the door for Rayn, and she drives to the hospital.

"Lussia, hang on" Rayn said.

"Rayn.." call Lucia softly in a voice so weak.

"I'm here, don't say anything else, you're gonna get hurt" Rayn said.

"Cold, I. Bus.. can you hold me" Lucia said in a disjointed voice.

"I'll hold you, I'll hold you, don't worry you'll be okay" Rayn said, holding Lucia's body in her arms.

"Stay by my side, don't leave me Rayn, I'm afraid" Lucia said, losing consciousness.

Seeing Lucia unconsciously made Rayn even more anxious and pale. He kept calling Lucia by name and asking her to open her eyes again. Hearing that Kelvin increasingly drove his vehicle.

Arriving at the Hospital, the doctors and nurses immediately approached them. Seeing the doctor and nurse running towards him made Rayn stop her steps for a moment. He started getting anxiety disorders again because of his phobias.

"What are you doing...!!" kelvin shouted towards Rayn who stopped and remained silent.

Kelvin already knows Rayn's phobic condition that is afraid of the touch of others. Kelvin immediately approached to grab onto Lucia's body. However, Rayn held Kelvin by the hand and resumed her footsteps to bring Lucia.

Rayn laid Lucia's body on the bed of the patient carried by the medics. Rayn explained the condition to the medics in detail. Lucia was seen to have deep wounds given that so much blood was coming out.

"Why is this so hard for me?"

Rayn clenched her chest as she stared softly at the medics who brought Lucia into the operating room. Rayn tried to keep her body, she stood leaning against the wall in front of the operating room.

Kelvin angrily approaches Rayn, a helpless Rayn slowly takes steps to go to the toilet to clean herself still covered in blood.

"What is it about you like this, that you can protect her?" kelvin asked in a high voice.

Rayn stopped her footsteps. He tried his hardest to turn towards Kelvin. "What did you say?" ask her with breath.

"What's happening to Lucia right now, should make you realize that you're not worthy of her. As her lover, all you have to do is protect her, not her who sacrificed her life to protect you. If I were you, I would give up" Kelvin said, throwing his face away and walking away waiting in front of the operating room.

"Even if he's still fighting inside there to survive, is it important for you to talk about this?" ryan asked with a serious face to Kelvin who was behind him.

For Rayn, right now the most important thing is Lucia's safety. I don't know what will happen to their relationship, he doesn't care. Enough to make sure Lusia is fine, it can make him breathe again.

"If you judge a person's worthiness only by that aspect, then you've made a grave mistake. Not every woman wants a man she can only rely on physically" Rayn said, continuing her footsteps to the bathroom.

Kelvin clenched his hands hearing that, he turned to look at Rayn's back. Rayn's words made her look so pitiful. Kelvin realized that he had been more cowardly than Rayn for just waiting and hoping Lucia would rely on him. However, it seemed that he was wrong because it had never been done to him.

In the hospital toilet, Rayn stared at herself on the glass. Slowly he began to drop his tears as he could not endure the pain in his heart. Rayn looked at her hands that were still filled with Lucia's blood. He felt guilty for not being able to protect Lucia. Rayn was downcast with tears, she was afraid that something might happen to Lucia, she was very afraid of losing Lucia.

"What should I do?" he said he could not help his crying voice.

Although Rayn had broken Kelvin's words, in his heart he realized that what Kelvin said was true. A fact he could not deny was his weakness to protect Lucia.

After cleaning the traces of Lucia's blood on him, Rayn goes back to the operating room where Lucia is struggling between life and death. In front of the operating room, Reisa and David were waiting anxiously.

Reisa immediately approached Rayn. "Rayn, are you okay?" reisa asked while keeping her distance from Rayn.

Rayn did not answer the question, she ignored Reisa and passed her by just walking to the front door of the operating room. All eyes were staring at Rayn including Kelvin.

Rayn stepped with heavy footsteps, staring at the operating room door blankly. Behind that door, the Doctors are fighting to save the woman he loves so much.

Right in front of the operating room door, Ryan closed his eyes as he dropped his tears back.

"Lord, I beg you to save him. Allow me to see it again" Rayn prayed in her heart.
