CHAPTER 01 - Prologue

Rayn Dean Anderson was a painter under the pen name Lotus. Rayn's paintings are no doubt and have gained a place among art lovers. Rayn uses a pen name in every

his work is not only to hide his identity, but because he is a sufferer of Hephephobia. A phobia in which he has a fear of touch.

This is what forced Rayn to live alone in a Villa not far from the city after returning from Canada 10 years ago. None of the fans of his work knew what kind of painter they admired.

Rayn's haphephobia began 17 years ago, when she was living in Canada with her parents. When Rayn was 10 years old. He had a traffic accident with his mother on the night of the Honda Celebration of Light Festival. Rayn's mother died in the accident, while Rayn's survivor was unconscious for 2 weeks. Rayn lost her memory of everything that happened that night, only remembering the time before she went with her mother to the festival.

Rayn and her mother's accident remains a mystery. Police said if the accident was purely a single accident there were even indications of a suicide deliberately committed by Rayn's mother. It was proven by the cause of the accident where the car driven by Rayn and his mother hit a red light without any indication of sabotage.

Ryan's father and Rayn himself do not believe if his mother committed suicide, because the same night Ryan's father received a threat from someone unknown. As for what happened, the answer lies in Rayn's lost memory, she being the only witness to the accident that night.

That night's events were certainly a huge blow to the Anderson family especially Rayn's father, Charles Dean Anderson. Charles lost a wife he loved. While Rayn's jolly only son is now turned into a loner and has an overwhelming fear every time someone touches him.

Doctors have not been able to find the trigger of the trauma that makes Rayn unable to accept the touch of others, including the touch of his own father.

Anderson's family decided not to take further medical action for Rayn's recovery. Mr. Charles alienated his only son by sending Rayn back to their home country.

“Mother, say if my choice is correct !. I can't stop hating Father who chose to give up on my condition, but I also don't want to continue hurting him with my existence even though he alienated me from his life. Let this be a punishment for me, for having made him lose you for good.”

Lucy's mother sold their house to pay for some of the debt her stepfather left behind. This made her mother and sister have to move away from the city and live with her grandmother in a densely populated fishing settlement. While Lucia decided to continue school and live in the city until now.

Lucia who did not want to burden her parents chose to work since she was still in High School. After graduating from school, he decided not to continue his studies until high school.
