CHAPTER 82 - Mother

A middle-aged lung man entered the room, in a loud voice he gave orders to Dr. Leona to continue Hypnotherapy.

“Master Charles” says Dr. Leona.

Dr. Leona silently looked at Rayn's father, not expecting Rayn's father to come. He even thought Rayn's father was in Canada.

“What are you doing? Continue to find the trigger” continued Mr. Charles' orders to Dr. Leona who was still silent looked at him.

Hearing Rayn's father's orders to Dr. Leona, Lucia took off her hand from Rayn. He stood up to Rayn's father who was standing with a few guards behind him.

“Master, are you sure of your order?” how can you do it to your son?” ask Lucia.

“Are you a doctor here?" ask Rayn's dad. "It won't kill him” he continued with a sharp look at Lucia.

"Sir, I beg you, please stop. Look how tormented Rayn must have been to see those painful memories. Sir, don't you see your son suffering?" Lucia continued to beg in tears.

Rayn's father ignored Lucia's pleas, asking her bodyguards to take her out of the room. He did not want Lucia to interfere with Dr. Lucy's hypnosis. Leona to her son.

"Bring this girl out now!" his orders were to shout at the guards.

Lucia who was about to plead to Dr. Leona is immediately confronted by Rayn's father's bodyguards, they approach Lucia to drag her out at Rayn's father's behest.

"Wait" said Dr. Leona.

Dr. Leona asks Rayn's father to keep Lucia there. Because not only him, but Rayn might also need Lucia.

Rayn's father eventually allowed Lucia to remain there but over long distances, she was strictly forbidden to approach. Lucia could only cry staring at Rayn in the corner of the room with the tight guard of Rayn's 4 father's bodyguards.

Dr. Leona refocused herself on the hypnosis she had done for Rayn. He again gave suggestions to make Ryan calmer.

“Rayn are you not shouting for help? Someone might come to help you" he said.

“Whoever it is, I beg you to save us, I beg you to save my mother" he said in a voice so weak as he looked at the cracked glass of the car.

That small, soft voice will not be able to call out to anyone out there among the rumbling fireworks. Rayn looked back at her mother with tears. He felt no pain in his body which was also full of wounds. He was afraid of losing his mother.

"Mother, mother.I beg you, ma'am. I promise, I won't do it again. I won't do my recklessness again. Mother you hear me? Mother, don't leave me. I.i.i...bu...Mother" called him crying sobbing.

"Pbu..yn....."

His mother's voice called his name. Slowly Rayn's mother began to gain her consciousness.

“Rayn are you okay? Are you hurt?" ask her with a voice as weak as Rayn's.

With tears falling down her cheeks, Rayn's mother tried to grab Rayn's hand. But his body was helpless, he had trouble moving his hand so he was unable to reach his son's hand.

"I'm sorry dear mom, are your hands okay baby?” ask Rayn's mom.

“Rayn, hold on son. Hold on any minute, I'll ask for your help" Rayn's mother said.

"Mother.." call Rayn in tears.

“That hand, that hand must not get hurt. Your special hand for painting, you can't hurt it. Can you promise me, baby?" ask him to Rayn.

"Mom, I promise. I promise to always listen to you, I promise to be a painter like you. But mom can't go. This hand, this hand, I promise to take care of it but you can't leave" Rayn said in tears.

"Mother's son" said Rayn's mother smilingly looking at her son.

"If this is the end of my journey, I want to look happy in front of you, son. Remember your happy mother's face for you. Whatever happens to you, you can only remember this mother's smile baby."

A smile that looks so sincere from a mother with full of pride for her son. A smile followed by flowing tears. He only prayed for the safety of his son.

"Can I stop it?" ask Dr. Leona with eyes that began to glaze over.

Rayn's father did not answer, he just silently looked at his son. He could not believe what had happened to his son and wife. Of course this was a severe blow to him knowing the suffering his son had to endure alone all this time.

Rayn's father finally understood why Rayn was pushing himself to forget everything that happened that night. A memory that was too terrifying for a child of his age back then.

Rayn's father still doesn't know if Rayn has any other memories after the incident, a memory of his mother who should have survived the accident must have died in the hands of a man he still does not know who. Rayn and Dr. Leona kept it a secret from Mickey and Mr. Charles.

After getting the suggestion, Rayn slowly woke up and opened her eyes, with a stingy breath she began to wipe away the tears that were soaking her cheeks.

He cried knowing that he himself caused the accident. A recklessness that made him experience a dark night with his mother. He also cried sobbing by squeezing his chest that felt so very tight felt it.

Cold sweat kept flowing and soaked his body. His face was extremely pale and his body was limp helpless.

"Where's Lucia?" tanyanya realizes that Lucia is not beside her.

“Ryan.. “ call Lucia who is still in the guard of Rayn's father's bodyguard in the corner right behind Rayn.

Hearing the call, Rayn turned her head. “What are you doing?" Shouted Ryan looking at Lucia who was blocked by her father's guards.

"Rayn calm down" said Dr. Leona saw Rayn trying to get up from her chair with a stagger.

Rayn who had stood up immediately put away Dr.'s helping hand. Leona was about to help him get up.

"Stay away from me!!!" he screamed with breath still stinging.

"Rayn.." call his father over.

"What are you doing here, get all of you out...!!!" rayn orders by stepping back to avoid his father.

His limp body was unable to hold his body and maintain balance, he fell back to hit his desk. Everyone there can't do anything because of Rayn's phobia.

"Rayn.." call Lusia to help him but still be blocked by the guards.

Lucia cries to see Rayn who is no different must try to wake up alone by reaching for a table near her. Rayn got up again trying to walk towards Lucia.

"Keep all of you away from him" Rayn told her father's bodyguards.

The bodyguards seemed confused by Rayn's orders, Although Rayn was Lord Charles' son, they did not dare to act without Rayn's father's more powerful orders against them.

"Rayn listen to dad” said dad trying to get close to his son.

Rayn's father focuses only on his son and ignores Rayn's orders against his bodyguards. Rayn's father still doesn't realize that what Rayn needs right now is Lucia. The only one Rayn can count on is Lucia. But he could not get close to Lucia who was surrounded by many people.

"Leona do something, give her medicine to help calm her down.” Rayn's father's orders to Dr. Leona.

“What are you doing? Release Miss Lucia” Mickey's orders entering the room.

Seeing the bodyguard who was focused on Mickey's arrival, Lucia immediately broke through by biting one of the guards' hands that had been holding him.

Rayn again tried to stand up straight and walked towards Lucia who was walking towards her. With all his might he tried to step. One hand held back the pain in her chest and one hand extended her hand to reach Lucia.

"Rayn.." he heard his mother's voice calling to him.

"Rayn.." call him again. But that voice had now changed to the voice of Lucia who actually called out her name.

Rayn felt that her body was no longer able to walk, her vision blurred. She faintly saw her mother reaching out to her with a smile.

"Mother...."

Call Rayn to stare at Lucia and lose consciousness. He also fell into the arms of Lucia who managed to grab his body.

the Epilogue

Mom, would you be upset if I didn't want to be a painter?"

The question little Rayn asked her mother. He sat on his mother's lap in front of an easel clamping down on a pure white canvas.

"Why doesn't your son want to be a painter? Don't you like it?"

Asked the mother by pointing Rayn's hand giving her first scratch on the canvas paper in front of her.
