CHAPTER 101 - Still Waiting for You

In his private room, Rayn lies helplessly in bed with intravenous fluids entering the body through his veins. Rayn's condition began to improve after passing several medical treatments and treatments by his personal doctor.

Rayn regained consciousness and slowly began to open her eyes, she saw Mickey sitting on a chair right next to her bed. Mickey could not cover up the anxiety on his face, he immediately asked Arka who was standing not far from him to immediately call the Doctor. Without waiting for long, Arka rushes off to execute Mickey's orders.

"Rayn, are you feeling better?" mickey asked Rayn.

Rayn tried to fully open her eyes, her bead guerrilla looking at the entire room. "Why am I here?" ask Mickey. "What's wrong with me?" then asked Rayn to see the infusion stuck in her hand.

Mickey helps Rayn to get up and rest her body on the edge of the bed to get a more comfortable position. "Didn't you remember? You passed out at the Hospital, the Doctor said you had too much thought, anxiety and fatigue" Mickey replied.

Rayn didn't know if it was the second day she slept in that bed. Although annoyed at not knowing anything and coming late, but now Mickey can sigh of relief because Rayn is conscious.

Mickey explains that Reisa contacted him when Rayn collapsed at the hospital. Reisa is worried if she takes the wrong action considering Rayn has a phobia.

Mickey, who was in Canada to investigate the murder of Rayn's mother, returned home after hearing about Rayn's condition from Reisa. Without waiting for a long time he immediately decided to return home and contact Rayn's personal doctor. He was even surprised by what happened to Lucia of Reisa. Rayn never told him about the horrible incident that happened to them.

"Lussia, what about Lucia? Is he conscious?" rayn asked in a still weak voice.

"I just received word from Reisa, if last night Lucia was aware of her coma. At this time, maybe Lucia still needs some examination and therapy to maximize the function of her nerves. I asked Reisa not to tell Lucia about your condition just yet, because I was afraid she would be anxious. At the moment, Lucia is with her mother, so I think she will still be entertained" Mickey said.

"Can you go help me check how she's doing now?" ask Rayn to Mickey.

For Mickey Tantu alone it is not a difficult request to do. Mickey will go to the Hospital to confirm firsthand the development of Lucia's condition and report it to Rayn.

"Of course I can help you, but don't worry after the doctor checks your condition and makes sure you're okay, you can go see him in person" Mickey said.

"I'm not going to do it" said Rayn.

Mickey was shocked by Rayn's statement just now. He did not understand why Rayn said he could not do it, why he said it even after having to faint because of worrying about Lucia's condition. If it's a matter of his condition still limp then Mickey can understand that, but Mickey knows if that's definitely not Rayn's real reason. Mickey tries to dismiss the absurd thoughts that allow Rayn no longer want to meet with Lucia.

"What do you mean?" ask Mickey to convince himself that what he thinks isn't right.

As if not hearing what Mickey was asking, Rayn did not answer. Rayn switched the conversation. "About your uncle, did you get any leads?" rayn asked to switch the conversation.

"Ray... !!!" yell Mickey.

As a person who has lived for years and grew up together, of course, Mickey has memorized the death of Rayn's attitude. Mickey is angry to see Rayn's response divert his conversation. Mickey still doesn't understand what's going on between Rayn and Lucia. Mickey is angry why Rayn does not want to see Lucia, why he did it when Lusia really needs Rayn for the current condition.

"I just made a decision. Don't worry, just let me know the progress of the condition" Rayn said and then lay back down. He closed his eyes with his arms covering almost half of his face.

Rayn tried to hold back the tears that were about to spill over her cheeks, she endured the pain that was raining down on her heart and squeezing her heart. Rayn also felt that this was very difficult for her, wanting her to come and embrace Lucia warmly. Of course Rayn can't disavow the heart and misses the woman who has changed her life more meaningfully. But he had no other way but to take off something impossible between them.

The Hospital...

Lucia sat with her mind blank, she was accompanied by Reisa who was also sitting right next to her waiting for the nurse who would take her to get a CT scan. It was obvious that sadness was enveloping Lucia's face. He looks worried and awaits the arrival of Rayn, the man he loves so much but has not appeared since he opened his eyes.

"What about Rayn's condition? lucy asked Reisa because she couldn't hold it anymore.

With a small smile full of doubt Reisa answered that question. "Don't worry, in that incident he was fine. I haven't told her if you're conscious, I'll do it soon" Reisa said, again unraveling a smile on her lips.

"It's okay, I'll send him a direct message later after getting checked" Lucia smiled.

In the depths of her heart Reisa felt guilty for having to lie to Lucia. Mickey forbids him from telling Lucia if Rayn fainted from exhaustion. Even Reisa also does not know or get news from Mickey about the development of Rayn's condition. He did not know that Rayn was also conscious at this time.

Throughout the day Lucia focused on further examination and carried out several therapies in accordance with the direction of the Doctor. Every now and then Lucia looks at her phone checking if Rayn is replying to the messages she sent.

[I opened my eyes, but I didn't see you. Are you all right?] Ordered Lucia.

Lucia looked at the flower in the room she was in at the moment, the flower that was like it was about to wither was the last flower Rayn had brought for her. Lucia's eyes were then fixed on the fairy tale book that Rayn also left there.

Rayn did not intentionally leave the book there, it was because at the end of his visit Rayn fell unconscious. But from there, Lucia knew that Rayn would always be by her side and accompany her.

In Lucia's heart, it's okay if she still has to wait until now, because she believes that Rayn has also done that when she is in a coma. That thought was what Lucia wanted to instill in her head in order to get rid of her turmoil over Rayn's absence when she opened her eyes.

"What's wrong with her? why hasn't he read my message? Is he not worried about me?" lucia said then went to lie down to sleep.

The day changed, Lucia began to get therapy to be able to move the nerves back with normal post-coma. During this time Lucia had to be assisted by a wheelchair because it was still difficult to support her body firmly. Reisa and her mother always helped her recover.

Lucia is restless because Rayn has not responded to her message. Lucia becomes increasingly unsettled as she tries to contact Rayn but her number is off.

"Lusia.." call Reisa who just came to bring her favorite food.

Reisa looked at Lucia who seemed disappointed to see her coming, a response that showed that she was waiting for someone else and who else it would be if not Rayn. "Lussia, what's wrong?" ask Reisa.

"Have you been able to call Rayn or Mickey? He didn't read my message and at the moment he can't be reached" Lucia said in a panic.

"That's.." said Reisa.

"Is he really okay? Reisa, you're not hiding anything from me, are you?" ask Lucia.

Nervously Reisa answered that question. "Looks... Rayn's not coming" he replied.

"What do you mean?" ask Lucia

"Mickey told me if Rayn wasn't in this country anymore, she'd already gone back to Canada" Reisa said.

Reisa also has no idea what really happened to Rayn, and Mickey only asks her not to tell Lucia about Rayn's condition. But yesterday Mickey contacted him and asked him to help take care of and look after Lucia as he and Rayn were going back to Canada.

Lucia's eyes began to glaze over, she could not believe what Reisa had just said. "Why did he go back to Canada? How long is he going to be gone?" ask Lucia.

"I don't know either because Mickey didn't say anything, even after that I couldn't reach him anymore. And.." explained Reisa then stopped her speech.

"And what ? There's another message you haven't said?" lusia asked seeing that Reisa looked doubtful and wanted to cover something from her.

"She.." said Reisa lowered her head and looked back at Lucia's face. "He told Mickey to send you a message if you don't have to wait for him" Reisa said.

Lucia instantly fell silent, her body like a painful attack. His heart was squeezed so hard. Lucia finally dropped her tears and got up to get out of bed, she took off the infusion that was still attached to her hand violently.

"That's impossible" said Lucia trying to step out of the room, but her limp body immediately made her fall.

"Lussia...!!" Shouted Reisa helping Lusia to wake up.

"Lusia, calm yourself down" asked Reisa as she hugged Lucia's body in tears.

"Does that mean he left me? Tell me if it's not true Reisa" said Lucia crying in Reisa's arms.

"Lussia, please calm down, your wounds are still not healed" asked Reisa.

"You told me that if she always came to bring me the flowers and the fairy tale book was hers, it meant that she also always came to read them to me, which meant that she was also waiting for me to open my eyes. Butwhy? Why did he leave me?" said Lucia still could not help her broken cry.

Reisa shouted for help, not long Nurse and Doctor came to provide medical treatment because what Lusia did had made her injuries worse. Doctors injected Lucia with a sedative to calm her down and not aggravate her wound.
