CHAPTER 94 - Letting Go of the Taste

In the midst of Kelvin and Lusia's conversation, suddenly Lucia's phone reads an incoming call from Rayn. Without a doubt Lucia immediately answered the call even in front of Kelvin. Lusia feels like she's helped by Rayn's phone call that ends the awkwardness between the two.

"I'm in front of the cafe" said Rayn who is currently in his car.

"Eeemm... I'm done, wait for me" Lucia replied and hung up.

"You're coming back?" ask Kelvin.

"I'm sorry, I have to go back. He was waiting for me" Lucia said.

Kelvin can see from the attitude of current Lucia shows if she is a girl who will not easily waver. Not even a little bit he views Kelvin as a man, not his friend or boss.

"Lussia.." call Kelvin.

Lucia stopped her footsteps and looked at Kelvin. "What's wrong?" tanyakanya.

"I hope you consider it again" Kelvin said, giving time for Lucia to think about her offer.

"I'm sorry Kelvin, my decision is already unanimous. I won't consider anything more. I'm sorry" he said, bowing and then saying goodbye and leaving Kelvin.

Kelvin sighed and then lowered his head. Even he did not want to stare at the back of Lucia who left him.

"You've been waiting a long time?" asked Lusia while getting into the car and sitting next to Rayn.

Rayn smiled by shaking her head which indicated if it was not for long. Rayn still felt if there was really something stuck in her heart. He wanted to ask all the questions that had plagued his entire head. But he chose to hold all of that. Rayn didn't want to make a mistake because of that baseless jealousy. He chose to trust Lucia rather than her childish thoughts.

From the balcony, Kelvin continued to look at Lucia who approached Rayn and got into his car and left the cafe. Kelvin was about to return after locking up the cafe.

"Is Mr Kelvin okay?" asked Dave who suddenly surprised him. He stood leaning against the wall of the Cafe with his hands crossed.

"Does Mr Kelvin need a drinking buddy?" ask Dave.

"You know if I can't drink" Kelvin said.

"That's not the purpose of my invitation sir" Dave said.

Kelvin silently looked at Dave with his frown at what he meant. Need a drinking friend that Dave meant not just spending time drinking together. Drinking friends are the same as friends to listen to every complaint and anxiety of the heart that needs a place to vent everything. A friend who can be a listener or an advisor.

After being silent for so long, the two finally went back into the cafe. Kelvin and Dave sat down opposite 2 bottles of Kelvin's alcohol and 1 bottle of Dave's soda.

Kelvin who began to be affected by alcohol even with just half a glass only began to get drunk. He began to recount all the complaints he had let go of about his feelings for Lucia. Kelvin felt that he was getting further and further from his love.

"That's because Mr. Kelvin chose to stay in place. If the distance between us and the woman we love doesn't change, then we should take one step closer" Dave said.

Kelvin smiled at Dave's words. "You're right, we should take it one step closer. I tried it, but the steps I took made her take one step back" he said with a smile of sadness.

One step Kelvin did was when he was drunk in front of Lucia. Although his condition was drunk at the time, Kelvin clearly remembered if he expressed his feelings to Lucia. He realized that it was the act of a coward, but from there he also got the answer.

Since then, Lucia has never asked him anything about the incident. In fact, he always avoided if there was any mention of the incident. Lucia began to keep her distance from Kelvin and acted as if she had never heard of him or taken him seriously.

"But Mr. Kelvin can't let that feeling continue to rule your mind. Because it will make Mr. Kelvin greedy and more greedy. The longer Mr. Kelvin will compare yourself to that man. The longer Mr. Kelvin will only see your own positive values, assuming if the man is inappropriate and not suitable for Legionnaires. To the point, Mr. Kelvin will do anything to get his heart even if it has to be by force" Dave said.

"You seen him?" ask Kelvin.

Dave saw what Kelvin was trying to do to Lucia and Rayn on the balcony. Dave was silent, then opened his voice not to answer Kelvin's question but to say the words that asked Kelvin to stop.

"I don't think you'll be able to shake him, either that man or Lucia's sister. Let go, it's the best way" Dave said.

"How can I forget it when I've been harboring that feeling for so long" Kelvin said. He looked more drunk.

"Not forgetting, but eliminating the taste" said Dave looking at the Kelvin pilu who was getting drunk but did not stop sipping drinks.

"Because of how hard we try to forget, we will actually get hurt more and more every time we realize that our own hearts still want it. Therefore, not forgetting it but releasing the taste so that the heart can make peace with reality" continued Dave while reaching for a bottle of alcohol from Kelvin's hand.

"Remove the taste.." said Kelvin slowly and then unconscious at the table.

"Don't regret it because it hinders the happiness of your loved ones. Letting go is better than enduring by force but full of misery."

Dave sighed, he could only mutter inwardly looking at the already unconscious Kelvin in front of him.

Arriving at the Villa, Lucia first went down to enter the Villa. Rayn follows Lucia after parking her car. Rayn is surprised by Lucia who is still standing at the door, she is seen waiting for Rayn.

"Why haven't you entered" Rayn said, pressing the door password.

Password confirmed, Lucia held Rayn's hand that was about to open the door. Rayn turned her head, seeing Lucia's shady face made Rayn turn her body around until it fully faced Lucia.

"Did something happen?" tanya Lucia felt there was something unusual about Rayn's attitude.

Without answering Lucia's question, Rayn grabbed onto Lucia's body and hugged her. "I'm sorry, if my attitude worries you" he said.

Lucia grew more anxious, she let go of Rayn's embrace and again asked her something that increasingly disturbed her heart. "Are you sure you're okay?" tanyakanya. "You know, if I'm always gonna be the place you go. If it is difficult, never bear it alone" continued Lucia.

Rayn stretched out one hand clasping onto Lucia's cheek. He nodded as he broke the sweet smile on his lips. "Don't worry, it's a problem that I have, and I'm the one who's going to solve it myself" Rayn said.

"Because I believe in you" continued Rayn inwardly looking at Lucia's bead.

Lucia looked at Rayn's hand that felt so warm on her face, she then looked at Rayn's face with a smile.
