CHAPTER 17 - Kelvin's Feelings

Realizing that someone was standing in front of her, Lucia raised her head to see who was coming.

“Kelvin.. ” said Lucia by wiping her tears immediately.

“Why are you outside? Are you okay?” kelvin asked in an anxious tone.

“It's okay, I just need some fresh air. How did you get here?” Lucia quickly switched the conversation.

“What makes you cry?” kelvin ignored Lucia's question when he saw Lucia's reddened and bruised eyes.

“I'm fine, don't worry” replied Lusia lowered her head for a moment then looked back at Kelvin with a small smile.

“This time you also don't want to tell me?” kelvin asked disappointed that Lucia never once relied on him.

“Not like that, but I, a... i..” replied Lucia stammering with eyes that returned glazed. Slowly her tears fell down her cheeks. He immediately lowered his head trying to hold back and hide his cries from Kelvin.

Without a word Kelvin stepped his foot to approach Lucia and hugged her. Kelvin's embrace that suddenly made his cry even more broken. He didn't refuse Kelvin's embrace. Lucia who was still in a sitting position, made him lean his head right in the stomach of Kelvin who was standing in front of him. He was crying in Kelvin's arms.

“Crying. You don't always have to be strong. There are times when you have the right to show your weak sideline“, Kelvin said slowly patting Lucia on the shoulder, hoping to help calm her down.

Not long after, Lucia let go of Kelvin's embrace and wiped her tears. Kelvin began to sit right next to Lucia. He just stared at the girl who repeatedly took a deep breath and exhaled her slowly next to him.

“What are your feelings now starting to improve?” kelvin asked in a soft tone.

“Thank you“ replied Lusia briefly still do not want to talk much because of the tightness felt due to crying too long.

Kelvin felt relieved and for him it was like he could breathe again throwing away his worries. He had always hoped that Lucia could always be open with him. But Lucia prefers to say if everything is fine even though the reality is the opposite.

As the day grew night, the wind grew stronger and exhaled the bone-piercing dinginya air. Kelvin takes off his jeans jacket and wears it to Lucia.

“I'm fine” said Lusia refused.

“Ssttt.. can't you just stand by and let me do it” Kelvin said, keeping his Jacket covered for Lucia's back.

“You can catch a cold and I don't want you to be sick because I” Lucia said.

"I'm fine, I feel so hot. You know why ? because of my struggle to come here after walking sejaaaauuuhhhh it” Kelvin said showing how far he had walked through the picture of his hand pointing around.

“Really ?” ask Lucy smiling.

“Haha, because I can't take my car to your doorstep, ” Kelvin replied laughing.

Kelvin had been struggling through several uphill, downhill roads, entering many turns between crowded residential houses because his car was no longer able to pass through. He had to park his car in front of a Minimarket on the main road and continue on foot.

Lucia laughed a little hearing that. Kelvin frowned and asked. “What are you laughing at, you are happy with my suffering ?“ tanyakanya.

“haha, it's okay. Oh yeah did Reisa tell and ask you to come here?” tanya Lucia still felt amused.

“Isn't that yourself doing it ? you sent me a message” Kelvin replied.

“I didn't send a message asking you to come" Lucia replied shaking her head quickly.

"Ahh... message it” chirps Lusia nods her head. He remembered the message he sent when he could not contact Kelvin to ask permission to leave the cafe.

“I can't reach you after reading your message. So I asked Reisa” for your home address, Kelvin said.

“I didn't notice my phone until it subconsciously ran out of power. Forgive me for making you feel bad about my carelessness” said Lucia bowing her head feeling bad for Kelvin.

"I'm the one who's sorry for knowing today. I was too busy yesterday with my job so I didn't pay attention to my phone" Kelvin explained why he had just arrived today.

"What are you talking about ? why should I apologize. This is not your duty" said Lucia. Kelvin just smiled a little.

"But it was foolishness to me" Kelvin said in his heart because he was not there for Lucia at the time.

They started having small chats, not much Iusia told Kelvin about what was going on with his family. Lucia only said if all her business was done and could return to work tomorrow.

Kelvin gave Lusia another day off. Even so, Lucia still has to work at the Flower Shop tomorrow. Kelvin decided he would bring back Lucia to the city tonight. He did not want Lucia to be tired from having to go straight to work after the return trip if they returned tomorrow. Kelvin was willing to even have to return to driving.

Kelvin briefly introduces himself to the small family of Lucia as his friend rather than as the Boss where Lucia works. He then said goodbye to Lucy's mother, grandmother and sister.

“I'm sorry if it bothers you son, be careful in the way” said the grandmother by stroking Kelvin's hand and not letting go.

“Mother... let them come back now, so as not to be too late at night in the streets” said Ms. Lucia asked her grandmother to end her handgrip.

“don't worry, I will bring back Lucia safely and I make sure Lucia will contact grandma as soon as we have reached” Kelvin said humping his shoulder alone.

They left the house. For a moment Lucia looked at her mother, grandmother and her sister Luke who drove her to the front of the yard. Lucia waved her hand softly.

They travel on foot to the minimarket where Kelvin's car is driven. Along the way Lucia kept jokingly teasing Kelvin.

Seeing his car, Kelvin immediately stepped his feet faster approaching. “Is this really my car ?” ask her by looking left and right.

Kelvin was astonished why they had arrived in front of the minimarket so quickly. Even just by going down the straight path without having to turn up and down like it was passed before.

"Is there a minimarket like this somewhere else ?" tanya Kelvin pointed at the minimarket in front of him. He still thinks they might be in the wrong place.

"What are you asking while obviously this is your car license plate” replied Lucia with a clack followed by a small smile.

“Do not anyone move my car here.”

“Do you think we're in the fairy tale ?. Never mind, no super-powered person here can move your car without driving it. And there is only one minimarket here” replied Lucia asked Kelvin to blow it.

“Haha, ha. haha, it seems like I misremembered it. Ahh.. no, it must be because we are chatting so it does not feel far” Kelvin said holding his shame by pretending to be innocent.

“Jonestly if you had time to get lost and circled around here and there before arriving at my home” chirps Lucia without further ado makes her feel amused herself.

“This is their fault, why build a house with the same model all makes it difficult to distinguish Jalan” grumbled Kelvin glanced at the houses around him after getting a deadly shot from Lucia.

“Yes, well, well, it's okay this is their fault" Lucia said laughing.

"Let me drive” continued Lucia asked for the car keys.

“How can I allow women to drive for me, No…!. Come in" Kelvin's orders open the door for Lucia.

Lucia held back the door that Kelvin opened. “But you just drove, you'll be tired later.”

“Alright, you close your door and I'll drive” said Kelvin smiled and left Lucia to go in the car and sit on the wheel.

Lucia only let out a short sigh and got into the car.

They're at the boarding house. Lucia took a look and left immediately, while Kelvin was still staring and making sure Lucia had entered and she would leave.

“Reisa who knows Lucia will come home, has prepared a lot of food for Lusia.

“Wahhh... Did you really set this all up ?” tanya Lucia saw a lot of dishes on the table.

“Of course” replied Reisa proud of herself.

“Yes, getting everything ready doesn't mean you cooked it. If someday you want to do this to earn David's praise, make sure you dispose of the plastic bag from this restaurant in the garbage bin outside” said Lucia put the restaurant plastic bag that is still visible in the trash. He knows that Reisa is not good at cooking.

“Hahaha, you're right. I'll remember it. Take a shower and we will gain weight with” said Reisa to divert her embarrassment.

After they enjoyed dinner together, Reisa and Lucia laid themselves in bed with masks covering their faces.

"I didn't expect if Kelvin really went to pick you up there” said Reisa with a light massage mask on his face.

“Eemm...” Reply Lussia briefly.

“Soal Kelvin, are you going to continue to fix his feelings?. He's the second person there is for you every time you're in trouble, the second person after me for sure."

“What do you mean by fixing it ? is your matchmaker's soul currently in turmoil?” fashion Lucy.

“As for Lucia, you know what I mean and you also know how Kelvin feels about you, didn't you hear it yourself back then” replied Reisa seriously turned her body against Lucia.

This time it wasn't his matchmaker's turbulent soul, but his smoldering coccyx. Reisa's words made Lucia recall the events of that night.

Remember the day they were celebrating David's birthday. Not only are there Reisa and Lucia, but Kelvin as a good friend of David is also there to celebrate together. That night was the night that Lucia received a shocking confession from Kelvin who was drunk at the time.
