CHAPTER 09 - The Long Night

The rain still fell heavily, even the occasional sound of lightning striking. No one knows who is visiting you at night. Lucia was already unable to contain her fear, her entire body was getting cold and trembling. His heart pounded as Rayn suddenly clasped his hand.

“What are you doing ?” ask Lucia rudely.

Rayn did not reply, she only focused on convincing herself once more before Lucia left her residence. He still could not believe that his body did not have any reaction against Lucia. Lucia tried to pull her arm from Rayn's hand. But Rayn's grip held him back until it was hard to let go.

“Take and drink first, I'll see who comes” Rayn replied giving a bottle of mineral water that is still sealed so that Lucia should not worry about drinking it.

Rayn leaves Lucia to see who comes and activates the screen. He was silent for a moment when he saw the figure of an unknown man standing behind the door.

“Who are you ?” ask Rayn through the screen.

“Lussia ? where is Lusia ?” the man was behind the door.

Hearing an unfamiliar voice calling out his name, Lucia rushed to run towards the door and made sure if it was true it was Kelvin's voice.

“Kelvin.. ” says Lusia staring at the screen.

Lucia rushed to open the door, but Rayn quickly held back the hand of Lucia who was already holding the doorknob about to open it.

“What else did you do ?” ask Lucia.

“You are sure you know him ?” ask Rayn. He was worried that Lucia was only pretending to know the man because she felt there was a chance to leave Villa.

"Let go of your hand" Lucia's orders ignore Rayn's questions.

Rayn was getting tighter and tighter holding onto Lucia's arm. "You don't have to force yourself to say you know him if you don't really know him" Rayn said, holding back Lucia from continuing to open the door.

Lucia ignored him and kept opening the door. Seeing the door open, Kelvin rushed in. Kelvin frowned his forehead looking angry to see Lucia standing next to Rayn. His eyes were centered on Rayn's hand holding onto Lucia's arm.

“What did you do to him ?” kelvin asks closer trying to get Ryan's hand off Lucia.

Noticing Kelvin approaching, Rayn immediately let go of Lucia's hand and took a step back before Kelvin touched her with a cold look.

Seeing Kelvin's arrival, Lucia immediately stepped foot to stand next to Kelvin. He thanked Rayn. “Thank you for the drink and also the fireplace“ he said.

“We pamit“ he continued while inviting Kelvin to leave the place. Kelvin grabs her umbrella hugging Lucia's shoulder and takes her away to the car. Rayn just kept silent to see them go.

“I'll be back with Momo” said Lucia.

“You are in my car..“ Kelvin's orders.

“But what about Momo?” ask Lucia.

“At this time, you're still worried about Cafe cars ?" kelvin asked in a high tone. He could no longer cover his anxiety. Seeing Lucia just silently looking at him, Kelvin lowered his tone by breathing out slowly. "I'll take care of it tomorrow, don't worry. Now come home with me” continued Kelvin said as he opened the car door for Lucia.

Lucia followed Kelvin's orders, and he got into Kelvin's car. Kelvin started driving away from Villa. Lucia just kept quiet by staring at the Villa she left behind in the rearview mirror. Along the way they just kept quiet to make the atmosphere very quiet. Kelvin did not speak a word, he only focused on driving in the rain that was still heavy.

“Why don't you ask something?“ lusia asked without looking at Kelvin. He just stared at the street he was on.

“You can tell me tomorrow when you feel better. The journey still takes about 30 minutes. Take a break for a moment, I will wake you up if we get to” Kelvin replied.

Kelvin felt that this was not the right time to show his overwhelming concern by raising questions to Lucia. The anxiety and fear he saw on Lucia's face made him choose to hold back.

They've reached the front of the Lucia boarding house. Kelvin who had just turned off the car deliberately did not wake Lucia. Kelvin just remained calm sitting in the steering wheel staring at Lucia's face.

'Is it still far away, why are you still not back ?' Visible notification of incoming messages from Reisa on the screen of Lusia's phone. Kelvin grabs her slowly and replies to Reisa's message.

'we're ahead, give me 10 minutes and then get him down. He's still asleep, I just don't want to wake him up right now.Kelvin' Kelvin replied to Reisa's message and put back Lucy's phone.

10 Minutes later, a woman with an umbrella walked over to the car.

Geck.. Tock….

Reisa slowly knocked on the car glass door. Reisa felt very anxious, even she actually went down to pick up Lucia right on the tenth minute according to Kelvin's orders. Reisa's door knock woke Lucia. He was surprised that Reisa was waiting for him.

“Thank you for tonight, I pamit” said Lucia out of the car.

Reisa welcomes and splits her umbrella with Lucia, she bows goodbye to Kelvin. Seeing that they had entered the boarding house, Kelvin started his car and left.

“Lussia, what really happened ?” asked Reisa who had tried to hold back her curiosity because she had waited for Lucia to finish bathing. Lucia sighed then explained the incident she had experienced.

“Are you stupid enough to offer to drive her?. Fortunately there is Kelvin, otherwise I do not know what happened to you“ said Reisa after hearing a long explanation of Lucia. He still could not believe what Lucia was doing.

“She's a very cold person, doesn't talk much and is also quite strange. But I don't think he's a bad guy, it seems like I'm overdoing it” Lucia replied.

Lucia downcast. “She did not hurt me at all, it's just her mouth that likes ceplos to land spicy until in the heart” he said.

“Many bad guys on this earth have new modes of Lucia, you have to be vigilant and careful” said Reisa.

Lucia did not respond and just kept silent in view of the incident where Rayn was helpless at the time.

“Don't go ! just one second, please. Just a minute you stay here“

Those words that continued to disturb Lucia's mind while staring at her palm that could still feel Rayn's tight grip.

“Lussia, Lusia.., Lusia... !” Call Reisa repeatedly seeing Lusia daydreaming without listening to her question.

“Hemm... ?” answer Lucia briefly

“Well, just now you really didn't listen to me ?” reisa's upset.

"I'm sorry, haha. Never mind, we forget that guy. How about your show earlier?” tanya Lucia switched the conversation.

“Everything went well and was fine, I really enjoyed the show” Reisa said.

Reisa did not tell Lucia if in fact they left the show before it was over. David decides to take Reisa back to Galery. Although Reisa said to stay because he was fine, David could see clearly from Reisa's face if he was still not calm. While on his way to the Gallery, David only received reports from his staff if they had closed the Gallery and Lucia had left the Gallery.

“Again and again I messed up everything” said Reisa inwardly looking at a photo of David that was made Home Screen on her phone. “Many things you give me, but what do I do for you ?” continued.

“Hey, aren't you bored ? had met every day but still be bucin by looking at his picture continues“ ledek Lucia while shaking her head.

“Bucin? you alone rather than care about my true story, better quickly find the man there” Reisa returned the Lucia taunts.

“Maybe it has been my destiny to live alone for a lifetime” replied Lusia with a lethargic look flashing her lips.

“Already, already, stop talking about me and David. We'll tell you more about the mysterious man. Oh yeah, what's his name ?” tanya Reisa still continued kepo. Not Reisa's name if you don't dig into her curiosity until it creates a big hole to hold the news.

“I don't know.. “ answer Lusia briefly and lie down directly against Reisa.

“You seriously don't know his name? we drove him home but didn't know ? Wow, you are also something” said Reisa astonished.

“For what I know his name, we will also not meet again after I deliver his car tomorrow.”

“Mobil… ? Why do you have to return the car, why not let him pick it up himself in Gallery ?” ask ketus Reisa.

Reisa's hard slap landed on Lucia's butt for ignoring her. "Hey, why Lucia ?" ask again.

“Don't worry, I will finish it tomorrow, besides I still leave Momo at Villanya" replied Lucia woke up and returned to sit with Reisa.

“At this time are you doing social service for him ?” ask Reisa.

“Emmm. Or do I need to charge for this ?” lusia asked with a smile by raising her eyebrows repeatedly.

“Stop playing your eyebrows ...!!!” said Reisa throwing a pillow at Lucia's face. Lusia just laughed amusedly at the annoyance of Reisa who from earlier was serious only.

“I still don't understand, do you still not get goosebumps after this incident ? if you know that I should have asked Kelvin to throw yourself in the forest there as well as last” continued Reisa.

“Not so. Besides, I also do not want to trouble Kelvin when he is busy just for Cafe” car business, replied Lusia.

“Oh yes, about Kelvin... are you you going to keep acting like this ?” ask Reisa.

“Already, I don't want to discuss it. Tonight it feels very long for me” replied Lucia back lying on the bed and covered her ears with a pillow.
