CHAPTER 187 - Mickey's Freedom

"Young Master...! Shouting Arka continued to call out to Rayn with a trembling body.

"Park....!"

Call Mickey who's trying to make Arka aware.

"Young Master.." cried Arka back like a man who had just risen from the dead. Arka opened her eyes and looked at the figure of Mickey who was already standing right in front of her sitting.

Arka only realized that she had just woken up from her sleep and everything she had just experienced was just a dream. A very bad dream. Arka seems so exhausted that she accidentally fell asleep to dream while guarding Rayn.

A circle of cold sweat flowing down Arka's forehead, he still could not believe that the nightmare he experienced felt so very real. The dream disturbed him because of the magnitude of anxiety he had towards Rayn's condition. His breathing is still irregular with a pale face. Arka took a deep breath and slowly swallowed it. He then looked at Rayn's empty bed, no Rayn figure there.

"Where's Rayn?" ask Mikcey.

The question that Arka also wants to ask, but it seems that Arka knows where Rayn went. He hurried to his feet and bowed to Mickey, saying an apology. "I'm sorry for neglecting to look after the Young Master. I'll find Young Master" he said, saying goodbye.

With hurried footsteps Arka walked over to leave Rayn's ward. However, when he had just arrived right in front of the door and was about to open it, Arka's steps came to a halt when he saw Rayn's body already standing behind the door.

"Young Master" said Arka and immediately took a step back and stepped aside to give way to Rayn. It seems that Arka is still used to avoiding Rayn's body from touching her. In addition Arka is also still not sure, whether his master really has recovered from his haphephobia.

Rayn stood in front of the door with a gasp of breath, as if she had returned to her room running. However, implied Rayn's face full of anger. The hunting breath seemed not to be because he was running, but the roar of the breath held a mounting fury. Highlight Rayn's sharp gaze like a bow he was ready to release on his target.

"Are you crazy???" rayn shouted with one hand pulling Mickey's collar, one more hand clenched ready to throw his punch again.

With a hunting breath, Rayn did not release her sharp gaze from Mickey. "Why did you do it to Lucia? "You know that Lucia is everything to me but why should she, why!! why should it be Lucia????" rayn asked with a shout as he again lashed a punch on Mickey's face repeatedly every time he raised a question.

Unlike Rayn, who was covered in anger, Mickey just silently resigned to let Rayn beat and abuse him. Mickey just silently looked into Rayn's eyes like he wanted to kill her. He even forbade Arka who wanted to help himself who constantly got a blow from Rayn.

"You need to know, no matter who you are, if something big happened to Lucia because of the accident, I would really be the first one to kill you." sternly Rayn with a gaze that showed seriousness over what he said.

Angered by Rayn, of course, because she loves Lucia so much, Lucia is the only woman who has changed her life. Lucia has filled the void she lived for years into a colorful and joyful life. Women who accept it as it is and always strengthen themselves when weak and lost direction. Lucia is the perfect woman in the eyes of Rayn who has made herself a man who has meaning and purpose in life.

Mickey throws a faint smile accompanied by a small cough from Rayn's punch. "Looks like that road gives good results, doesn't it?" mickey asked how Ryan's hand was touching him. "Look, isn't that way now you've started to live as normal a life as you've wanted all along" Mikcey said.

Rayn frowned. "What did you say?" he raised his fist again to hit. But Mickey continued the words that made Rayn stop the movement of her hand.

"I have told you, my waiting is your freedom and Lucia the way for me to end that waiting" Mikcey said with a faint smile as if she was satisfied.

Rayn....!

Mickey.....!

Stop that...!

Shouted Leona and Mr. Charles who entered the room. Both of them looked extremely shocked and could not believe the sight they were seeing. This was the first time that Rayn and Mickey were at that point. During this time Rayn and Mickey, although both sometimes look cold and indifferent, but they always take care of each other and protect each other in their own way.

"From now on stop meddling in my affairs, because of the freedom you want, now I give it to you" Rayn said, then got up and left the nursery.

Mickey was still lying quietly on the floor, he took a deep breath and then slammed into it long. The meaning of Rayn's words seems to say if Rayn has decided to end the relationship with a sharp eye highlight that makes it like strangulation. Mickey sighed again and then closed his eyes with a circle of tears that fell.

Leona rushed to help Mikcey to get up and screamed for the bodyguard to call the doctor. Mickey throws Leona's hand and tries to get up on his own.

Leona is seen to hold back and ignore Mickey's rude attitude towards her. "Did Rayn know everything? Also about the baby? Is that why he did this to you?" ask Leona.

Without looking at Leona's face, Mickey answered the question. "It looks like he just figured out how the accident happened. If Rayn had known about the baby, she would have killed me" Mickey said, standing over to Rayn's father and saluting him.

"I'm sorry for what you just saw" Mickey bowed to Mr. Charles Anderson.

Mr. Charles breathed a pity, he walked over to Mickey. Unexpectedly, Mr. Charles grabbed Mickey's body and slowly began to hug him. Mickey rounded his eyes accepting the hug without a word. He doesn't understand what happened to Rayn's father. What an act he never dared to dream of.

"Why do you apologize, why do you always apologize. All of this is due to our adult mistakes. You have suffered too much. Forgive me, Mickey" said Mr. Charles.

Mickey was even more pensive to hear a word his father had spoken Mr. Charles. It had been more than 17 years since the last Anderson family took care of him, he had never heard of it again because he refused to be adopted.

"I'm sorry, Mickey. After all you're part of the Anderson family, you're also my son. I'm sorry if I only cared about Rayn and ignored you. Mickey was trying to hold back his tears. The words of Lord Charles touched his heart. Not because he got a confession, but what Mr. Charles said made him feel if he was also a human being who deserves to be happy.

But, that's not the purpose of life that Mickey promised. For Mickey, his happiness is dead with his beloved mother gone. From then on, he will only be happy if Rayn who is none other than the savior of his life can live happily without the shadow of the dark past because of him.

Mickey was still silent in the arms of Mr. Charles, trying not to falter and refrain from being swept away or returning Rayn's father's embrace. One might see the life Mickey lived was full of burdens, but for Mickey that was the purpose and reason why he still lives today, keeping and protecting Rayn.
