CHAPTER 80 - Jealousy ?

A few days later...

Rayn who was well dressed came down the stairs from the 2nd floor. He approached Lusia who was also preparing to go to the Friend's Cafe charity event where he worked. Lucia wondered to herself, where would Rayn go in her dress.

“I have an appointment with Leona, but I will take you first” Rayn said as if she already knew what Lucia was thinking.

Lucia doesn't understand why Rayn had to see Dr. Leona is outside Villa while Rayn has only one business with Leona, which is about her medical treatment.

“Are you going to do hypnotherapy outside Villa?” tanya Lucia did not want to harbor her curiosity.

Rayn said if she was going to pick up Dr. Leona at the airport, she had just returned from Canada. As Rayn delays treatment, Dr. Leona returns to Canada. Today, due to Dr.'s schedule. The densely packed Leona, Rayn decides to meet him and pick him up because he has urgent business.

“It's not supposed to be Mickey picking him up or you just ask Arka to go pick him up. What's that urgent business about your medical affairs?” ask Lucia.

“Why? Are you jealous?” ryan asked with a smile.

Rayn approached Lucia, she hugged her lover who was still looking at her with a curious face. “There's something I need to talk about without Mickey. I wanted to go see him with you, because there was nothing I could do without you. But, since you already have another schedule, then I can only give in and leave without you” said Rayn.

“And I don't want to disturb your time it” continued Rayn said, releasing her arms to look at Lucia's face full of warmth. “I've asked Mickey to help arrange some cakes to your charity event and I'll visit you there and pick you up.

Lucia nodded her head. "Alright and thank you for sending the cake for the cafe" he said.

Today Friend’s Cafe is holding a charity activity that is routinely carried out every 6 months. The charity event was held in a nursing home. Kelvin's father's company was one of the biggest donors to the nursing home.

The activity they always do is to hold a small party for the elderly. The series of events they always do is singing, playing simple games and preparing dishes.

Their arrival is always warmly welcomed by the elderly who are already waiting for their presence. Lusia and Friends Cafe staff were immediately preoccupied with a series of events that were so lively among the elderly. Lusia and the other staff are very sincere and patient in helping the elderly who have some limitations.

The event had already reached the peak of the event where the elderly enjoyed the dishes they served. Lucia helps an elderly person who wants to be escorted back to the room by her. A middle-aged woman was so spoiled and acted as if she knew Lucia very well.

“Grandmother is happy to see you grow up well, even you are still beautiful” said the middle-aged woman sitting in a wheelchair that Lucy was pushing.

“Really? But my beauty certainly can not beat the beauty of grandma when she was young, said Lucia praise back.

“When will you visit him?” ask him to Lucia.

Lucia stopped pushing, crouching in front of her wheelchair to keep up with her grandmother. “Visiting who grandma means?” ask Lucia.

The woman suddenly embraces Lucia with a hysterical cry, she stroked Lucia's shoulders violently. “That is his fate.. oh my God, what is the harm of having to go through all this suffering. Why should he be locked up here alone while there is you nak” said the grandmother by continuing to cry.

Lucia did not understand what the grandmother said, she could only try to calm her down without knowing what she meant. Soon two nurses came to Lusia's aid. One of the nurses persuaded the grandmother to remain calm and drove her back to her room.

“Sorry, he is always like that, sometimes likes to suddenly cry hysterically as if remembering something he thinks if his memory is true” said one of the nurses apologized to Lucia and then left following his partner.

Lucia just sighed, she told the nurse to go back to her colleagues. Just as he was about to return, suddenly there was a commotion from the grandmother's room, he heard her crying and yelling for another patient to come out.

“Come out... hurry out before you regret” he shouted.

Lucia intended to go to the room, but suddenly Kelvin came to call her. Kelvin's been looking for her, he's been scouring every ward to find Lucia. He gets more and more troubled as Lucia leaves her cell phone.

"Is there a problem?" tanya Kelvin approached Lusia.

"Nothing, I was just dropping off a grandmother but she suddenly cried with a hug. He said something I don't understand. Maybe he remembered it wrong or something. But there was a nurse who helped him earlier" said Lucia.

Kelvin invited Lusia back because the event was over and the other staff were packing to return. Seeing Lucia looking exhausted, Kelvin invited her to sit down for a short break on a wooden bench they met on the way back.

"I salute you who always plunge yourself into events like this amid your busy life and also your father who is so generous” said Lucia praised Kelvin.

“Although without this event, I also always come here” Kelvin said.

“Really?” ask Lucia.

“There is someone I have always visited here, he is a man who has been treated here for a long time. Honestly, I originally brought him here because I wanted his recovery for personal reasons. But more and more often I started to feel compassion and guilt for him. Should I do it while we are sinners to him. And finally I decided I would keep taking care of him to atone for that sin” Kelvin said.

“Sin? Is he your family?” ask Lucia.

Kelvin shook his head, he no longer wanted to continue to discuss it with Lucia. Kelvin doesn't want to tell Lucia if the man is actually a victim of her father's greed.

Kelvin wasn't prepared to honestly say that his father wasn't who Lucia thought he was. His father was a wealthy and famous businessman. But for the picture if his father is a philanthropist who has millions of goodness it is just an image that his father deliberately built to cover his true nature. A mask for attention and public empathy.

Rayn is currently on her way to pick up Lucia to the nursing home where Lucia and Cefe staff are holding a charity event. Rayn had trouble contacting Lucia to let her know she was close.

When entering the main gate, Rayn and Arka still have to drive almost 1km to get to the main building. On the way he saw a woman familiar to him sitting on the side of the road with a bicycle lying next to him.

Rayn asks Arka to stop her car to ask if she needs help. Arka got out of the car and immediately approached the woman who was none other than Lucia's coworker at the Cafe, the woman was Vhia.

“Are you okay?” ask Arka.

Vhia is a woman who is very good at remembering every person she has met especially if the man ever attracted her attention. Vhia immediately knew that Arka was a bodyguard who repeatedly came to the Cafe with Lucia.

“Did you come alone?” ask Vhia without any pleasantries. His head was clingak clinguk ascertaining what Arka came up with a man who had also attracted his attention. Of course the man she was looking for was Rayn.

Arka did not answer the woman's question, for it was not her business whether she came alone or not. Arka just continued asking if the woman needed her help.

Seeing that Arka did not immediately finish his affairs, Rayn finally got out of the car and asked if he could go back to driving.

"Oh, Mr. Rayn, you can wait for a while" Arka said.

"I'm sorry, if you don't need help then I'll go" Arka told Vhia.

Seeing Rayn's existence, Vhia ignored what Arka had said as if he was invisible. Vhia suddenly held onto her leg with a groaning of pain. He said he had just fallen off his bike and was currently feeling pain in his leg.

Arka tried to check it, but she saw no signs of sprains or injuries. Vhia kept moaning and asked for help if she could hitchhike. Arka turned and looked towards Rayn. He wasn't sure if Rayn would allow it.

Rayn nodded which meant that she allowed Vhia to ride. Arka helps support Vhia and directs her to sit in the front seat.

Seeing Rayn sitting in the back seat, Vhia refused to sit in the front. "It's okay, I can just sit behind me, how can I sit in front while the owner is sitting behind" said Vhia deliberately so that he can sit near Rayn.

“Do not worry, you can sit in front of” cut Rayn.

Vhia finally gave up and sat on the front bench. Along the way he keeps asking about Rayn. Ryan did not respond too much, he pretended not to hear and grabbed the earphones as if listening to music.

They've reached the main building. The event is in the main courtyard and needs to walk again to go there. Rayn asks Arka to take Vhia to seek medical help, while she is about to leave alone.

Hearing Rayn's orders to Arka, Vhia suddenly says that her legs are fine. He volunteered to drive Rayn because she would also go back to her colleagues.

Rayn did not respond, she continued to walk to see Lucia. Vhia follows him walking a short distance next to Rayn as Arka tries to protect Rayn from the woman.

“Do you have a special relationship with Lucia?” vhia asked who was still talking even though Ryan did not respond too much, Rayn only replied with a smile.

"Lussia was very compatible with our boss Mr. Kelvin, they even looked romantic, but somehow he turned it down. Isn't she a strange girl, rejecting the golden opportunity that other girls crave" said Vhia.

Vhia was the one who could never filter his words. He kept trying to open up a conversation with Rayn. And he always led the conversation by discussing Lucia. It was as if he had deliberately made Rayn think badly of Lucia.

They were almost there, Rayn saw the Cafe staff who were busy packing but she did not see the existence of Lucia among them.

Vhia continued her chatter. "Well, even at an event like this, he must have gone with Mr. Kelvin. Mr. Kelvin is an unyielding man, he will look for opportunities to always be alone with Lusia" continued Vhia.

Rayn was silent, she did not respond, she just looked straight ahead seriously. It made Vhia feel upset. Although she did not get a satisfactory response from Rayn, Vhia still smiled sweetly, a smile that was very different from her heart.

“Oh yes, you are the man who sent the cake for our cafe event right. Then you're our guest too. At the end of the show we all used to go for a dinner together. We'd be very happy if you could join us. I'm the one in charge of managing the menu and the place. I also haven't decided which restaurant we're going to eat at, do you have any advice?" Ask Vhia.

"Or do you like what cooking? Chiha Cuisine, Japan, Korea, Europe? Since you helped me too, then you can choose it" Vhia continued, still trying to attract Rayn's attention.

Rayn's gaze turned out to be focused on seeing Lucia who was walking towards him with Kelvin. Both seemed to enjoy their conversation. It was seen from Lucia's smile to Kelvin. Rayn sees Kelvin stop his steps and wipes Lucia's hair.

With a calm looking face Rayn asked Vhia. "Are you eating raw food too?" rayn asked briefly opening his voice without looking towards Vhia.

"Raw food?" ask Vhia with disgusted mimicry.

"What do you mean sashimi? I like it, is that the menu you proposed? Then I'll book a place in a Japanese restaurant around here" replied Vhia.

"There are leaves being hairedmu” said Kelvin grabbed a small leaf in the hair of Lucia.

"Thank you" said Lucia smiling. He saw Rayn staring at him.

"Oh Rayn." said Lucia. He immediately sped up the ledge to approach Rayn and left Kelvin behind. Kelvin just sighed and smiled at Lucia's reaction when he saw Rayn.

Lucia stops her steps seeing Vhia introduce Rayn. "Friends, he's the guy who's been sending so much cake for the show. And because this time we have a special guest, then we have a meal event we have ordered Sashimi in a Japanese restaurant around here" said Vhia.

"Horay.... Yeah!!!" cheers of the staff.

"Sashimi...?" ask Lucia who can't eat raw food.

"Why should Sashimi, don't you know Lucia can't eat raw food?" kelvin Sahut.

"Right, Lucy couldn't eat it" Dave continued.

"It's okay, it's been a long time that members have not enjoyed special meals. I can skip and you can go. Really, I'm fine, don't worry" Rayn said.

"Rayn, you're still joining us, aren't you?" Ask Rayn.

"I can't eat Sashimi either" Rayn said, looking at Lucia.

"What, you were... ?" ask Vhia.

"I'm asking if you like it doesn't mean I like it too. I never said if I liked it, I just asked" Rayn replied.

Vhia is furious because she feels she has been fooled by Rayn. Ryan knew that Lucia could not eat raw food, so he took the opportunity to encourage Vhia to determine which foods she could not eat. That way he could immediately take Lucia away and separate her from Kelvin.

"I'm sorry if we can't join. I came here to pick up my girlfriend too. It just so happened that we couldn't eat sahimi together, so we're very sorry we missed this meal together" Rayn said.

“Darling, can we go back now?" Rayn asked Lucia.

Lucia nodded then she immediately went to pick up her bag and parted. "I'm sorry and sorry I couldn't join you" Lucia told Kelvin.

"It surprised me" Kelvin said.

Lucia looked down, she understood the meaning of Kelvin's words. Kelvin seems surprised by Rayn's statement that Lucia is his lover. Lucia can only apologize and then say goodbye.

In the car, Lucia asks Rayn why does Vhia think that Rayn likes Sashimi? He even seemed to know Rayn.

"I just accidentally met and gave him a ride" Rayn replied. "Is he also your best friend?" ask Rayn.

"Not too close, just a coworker" Lucia replied.

"Good, it looks like she's a girl with a bad personality" Rayn said.

"Why do you think that?" ask Lucia.

"Just feel" Rayn replied.

Rayn did not tell Lucia that Vhia had said much bad about Lucia. Along the way, Rayn asked a lot about Kelvin and how far Lucia was close to him. Lucia makes the opportunity to tempt Rayn by making her jealous.

Arriving at the Villa, Rayn calls Lucia who is about to push the door password. "Lussia.." call her.

Lucia turned her head to look at Rayn who looked seriously at her. "If only, if I couldn't heal or maybe it was worse that you couldn't touch me, would you stay with me?" ask Rayn.

"Rayn what's wrong? Why are you suddenly asking?" ask Lucia back.

"Are you going to stay with me?" Rayn stayed on the question.

"Rayn. Leona?" ask Lucia back. He does not answer Rayn's question because his mind is filled with anxiety about Rayn's sudden attitude.

"I've made an appointment with Leona tomorrow to continue hypnotherapy" Rayn said.

Lucia approaches and hugs Rayn, not understanding what makes Rayn suddenly worried about her relationship and phobias. Right now, all Lucia can do is convince Rayn if whatever happens she won't leave him.
