CHAPTER 59 - Dr. Leona

The night was getting late, Rayn who was awake looked at Lucia who was asleep with a sitting position by leaning her head right next to her. Rayn's eyes could not be separated from the hand of Lucia who was still tightly grasping her hand. Rayn moved her hand, slowly changing the position of her hand that held onto Lucia's.

“Mother, how should I? Is it selfish if I want it in my life?” rayn said in his heart. He closed his eyes and fell asleep.

It was morning, Lucia was busy in the kitchen preparing porridge for Rayn. “You can go to work today, don't worry, I'll take care of it” Mickey said as he opened the refrigerator door.

"Are you sure?” ask Lucia.

“Can I forbid you to go?” ask Mickey back by pouring cold water and then gulp it down.

Lucia kept quiet and continued her activities, realizing that what Mickey said was true. He is just an employee who can not arbitrarily himself do not go to work because of personal affairs. Lucia eventually follows Mickey's instructions not to miss out on Cafe.

At the Cafe, Lucia does her work as usual though with a feeling that is still worried about Rayn's condition. It occurred to him to take a leave of absence.

“What is Kak Lucia doing with someone?” ask Dave to the busy Lucia check the stock in the warehouse.

“I? Someone?” tanya Lucia was confused.

Dave nodded. “Emm.. a beautiful woman looking for you in front” Dave said.

Lucia stops her activities and goes to see who the woman Dave is referring to, which is certain she is not Reisa because Dave knows Reisa.

“Dave, I'll take my break, have Grace replace me” Lucia's orders after seeing Leona sitting at one of the visitors' desks. Lucia releases the apron and approaches Leona.

“Hi, I'm sorry if I bother you, but I'm glad you want to see me and not ignore me” said Leona smiling.

“Do I have a reason to refuse?” asked Lusia while sitting on the chair opposite Leona.

“Haha, you're right” he said by sipping the coffee he ordered. “Wah, it feels very satisfying. Makes me want to always come here” he said praising the coffee from Friends Cafe while looking at some corner of the Cafe.

“Did Mickey tell you this place?" ask Lucia.

"Did I really interrupt your work time?" ask Leona.

"Don't worry, I'm taking my break. Is there something you want to talk to me about?” ask Lucia.

“Of course, there are many things I want to say to you. Previously I needed to re-introduce myself properly this time” he said by extending his hand.

Lucia frowned. “Include yourself correctly?” ask her inwardly by grabbing Leona's hand.

“My name is Leona, I came here to help Rayn” heal he said.

“Help Rayn?” ask Lucia to confirm back what she just heard.

“True, I am the doctor who will handle and be responsible for the treatment process of Rayn” phobia Leona replied.

“Doctor? You came with Rayn's dad, did he ask you?” ask Lucia.

“It can be said like that, I know Rayn will definitely reject my presence, therefore I ask for your help and I hope we can work together” he replied.

"Why should I?" ask Lucia.

"Did you forget? because you're the only person she can touch" Leona replied with a sip of her drink.

Leona is a psychiatrist who will help cure Rayn's phobia with Hypnotherapy. A medical treatment that uses hypnosis is a stimulus to the subconscious that allows Rayn to more easily accept directions and lose the strength to react.

During this time Leona only prescribed Rayn medication to relieve anxiety disorders and improve Rayn's mood through Mickey. Dr. Leona was given direct responsibility by Dr. Daniel. Dr. Daniel was the first doctor to treat Rayn after the accident.

“I'm here on Rayn's father's orders, but you can trust me. I'm not on anyone's side, because I'm just going to focus on the treatment. So, I think we're on the same ship” Leona said.

“Right now all I want to find out is why doesn't he have any reaction to you? For that, I need the details of your meeting with him, you can tell me everything from your point of view. And I also need Rayn by bringing her back to that moment” Leona replied.

“With hypnotherapy? I'm not sure Rayn wants to do it”sahut Lucia.

“You can persuade him” cut Leona.

"I don't have the right to do so, maybe Mickey has told you my status there as well" Lucia said.

“Although without rights, I'm sure you can do it. One thing you need to know and I hope it convinces you to trust me. The reason why Dr. Daniel stopped Rayn's treatment at that time” said Leona. He started to tell me a little about what happened.

In Rayn's phobia, knowing the trigger is the key and getting the key is to bring Rayn back to the night the accident happened. At that time, there were many things that Dr. Daniel before doing so, which is another possible risk that could occur. Because Rayn had to go back to the point where she was going to accept the pressure, the hardest point she didn't want to accept was to push her on her phobia.

A difficult situation due to a traumatic that he is unable to bear alone will create another figure on him to escape.

“That's what Dr. Daniel at that time. This is worse and more dangerous than Rayn's phobia. Although I did not know the condition clearly because at that time I was a nobody, but that's what I know and I learned from Dr. Daniel. Scary isn't it?” obviously Leona.

“Other figure?” ask Lucia.

"Another personality that can take control of Rayn's body and mind at any time, it's triggered by certain situations when she feels stressed, scared, or angry. In psychological terms we call it an alter ego, a figure that is a place for him to run and hide. Of course this should not happen, therefore Dr. Daniel chooses to wait until he is able to control his emotions or he has someone more real for him to escape.

“And you think it was me? Is that why you asked for my help?” cut Lucia.

"You're right” replied Leona.

During Dr. Leona was involved in handling Rayn's phobia case, he had tried to persuade Rayn to do Hypnotherapy, but Rayn refused for other reasons. When Dr. Leona heard of Lucia's presence, it was like a new hope and a way to Rayn's recovery.

"It is time for Rayn to undergo treatment to be able to return to normal life" said Leona.

Lucia fell silent, she was still worried about one thing. “Will he suffer greatly while doing so?” asked Lusia softly with a sad look.

“Of course, it's like having him experience that incident again over and over again. Again, again and again until we can find the trigger as the key” Leona replied with a heavy heart to say it.

“That means, it will continue to make him experience that torment again” murmured Lucia lowered her head.

“For that you should always be at his side, because he will need you” Leona said hearing Lusia's murmur.

Seeing the doubt on Lucia's face made Leona take a breath. “I know you're very worried about him, but we don't have a choice” said Leona.

Dr. Leona asserted, although the existence of the current Lucia has helped Rayn to be better, but it is only limited to the comfort that Rayn received. That comfort won't cure Rayn. In fact, it does not rule out Rayn's phobia will get worse and it could be suddenly he also has a reaction to Lucia.

“I can't promise anything, but I will try my best for him” said Lucia.

“Alright, I think this is all I can tell you right now. In the next meeting, I hope you can come with Rayn” Leona said and got up from her seat. While Lucia was still sitting by staring at Dr. Leona.

“I rely heavily on you” continued said Leona then leave the Cafe.

Lucia returned to the cashier with a face shrouded in sadness and worry. Lucia grabbed her phone and contacted someone.

"Hi, my little baby" said the woman in the phone call with Lucia.

"Reisa, what should I do?" asked Lucia in an anxious tone.

Reisa who was immediately asked that question was confused. Lucia slowly recounted everything she had experienced and the decisions she had to make. Only Reisa could be the outpouring of her heart at this moment.

Lucia was eager to help and hoped for a cure for Rayn, but she didn't expect it to be as easy as she thought. Because anyway, in the end it will only make Rayn back hurt. Seeing Rayn suffer and get hurt was the hardest half for her.
