CHAPTER 126 - The Woman Waiting for Me to Return

The next day...

Rayn and Lucia go to the airport, not only to escort home the mother-in-law and her sister-in-law, but both will also have flights to Vancouver. Lucia looks sad when separated from her family, she entrusts her mother and sister to Reisa and David who will also be back together on a flight.

After a flight from Quebeq, Lucia and Rayn have now reached Vancouver and are at the Villa that has been prepared by Mickey. Arriving at Villa, Lucia immediately paid to go rest because she felt very tired. Rayn just stared at the back of Lucia who went up to the room. Looks like Lucia is really tired, even he does not have any comments or opinions about the Villa that Mickey chose.

"What's your plan now?" mickey suddenly asked Rayn.

"What's more, besides going to take a shower and clean things up" Rayn said, looking at the suitcase that was still untouched.

"Good, go take a shower I'll leave you now so you can do it in peace. I'll be back to pick you up later that afternoon after I get word from Mr. Charles" Mickey said.

Mickey encourages Rayn and hopes Rayn can enjoy her first night of activities. They don't have to wait for nightfall to do so and Rayn needs extra energy before meeting her father.

"Are you crazy?" rayn responded to Mickey's passion for him. "Go away.." continued Rayn's orders.

"Okay. okay, but trust me, don't hold it for too long or you'll regret it" Mickey laughed as he left.

After taking a shower, Rayn stared upstairs. There Lucia seemed to still be lying from them until just now. Rayn then went to the kitchen, he checked the food supplies in the refrigerator. A smile on his back, Rayn looked at the contents of the refrigerator full.

"He really filled it at my request" Rayn said, taking some groceries out of the refrigerator Mickey had prepared.

Rayn began to occupy herself in the kitchen, with an apron attached to her body, cooking for Lucia. Rayn's expertise in cooking is no doubt. This is because Rayn has lived independently for many years alone. Currently he makes a dish of mussel soup which became his wife's favorite food.

Almost an hour Rayn struggled with food and kitchen utensils and now all the dishes she cooked have been served at the table. After tidying up the kitchen and preparing all the cutlery, he went upstairs to call Lucia as he did not have much time left. It was almost afternoon and he had an appointment with his father who was also in Vancouver on business. Before that, Rayn wanted to eat with her beloved wife.

Rayn went up to her room, but she did not find Lucia in bed. Rayn goes to the bathroom thinking that Lucia is in there and knocks on her. "Lusia, are you inside?" ask Rayn.

There was no answer to his call, so Rayn had to knock a second time. Not long heard the sound of the key off and the door opened. He was surprised to see Lucia who was walking in a daze and was seen enduring her stomach pain.

Rayn immediately helped and encouraged Lucia to get back to bed. Rayn became very worried seeing Lucia's pale and agonized face.

Rayn squatted down with her knees against her body and clasped Lucia's extremely pale cheeks with cold, flowing sweat. Rayn rushed to the bathroom and returned with a small towel in her hand. Slowly he wiped away Lucia's sweat. "Lussia what happened? Are you sick?" ask Rayn.

"It's okay Rayn, things are going to get better soon" Lucia replied not wanting to worry Rayn. "Rayn, this is just" continued Lucia trying her hardest to speak.

Rayn's hand grabbed onto Lucia's hand that was still firmly gripping her stomach. "Don't talk again if it makes you sicker" Rayn said.

In a panic, Rayn got up to grab her phone to make a call. Rayn immediately contacted Mickey to ask him to send a doctor to Villa.

Lucia returned with a louder voice telling Rayn that she was fine and that Rayn did not need to call a doctor. Lucia seemed to want to say what happened to her but she was restrained and hesitated to tell Rayn.

"Mickey, please send the doctor to Villa immediately" Rayn ordered without further ado after Mickey answered his call. He didn't even give Mickey a chance to say hello.

"Doctor...? Whoa... Rayn, did you do it with a lot of energy and play rough until you needed a doctor now?" mickey was surprised.

"Mickey...! Are you crazy. Do you think it's important to talk about it now? Seriously, call the doctor now! Lucia had her stomach ache, her face was pale, her voice was weak and also cold sweat was flowing" Rayn explained.

Lucia tried to cut Rayn's phone. "Rayn I.." said Lucia again restrained, but he also could not bear the concerns conveyed to Mickey. He was very embarrassed by the situation.

Rayn turned around and sat on the bedside, she grabbed Lucia's hand. "Lussia, you can hold it for a while, Mickey will send a doctor right away" he said, still calling Mickey active.

"Rayn, I'm just coming for the moon, there's really no need to call a doctor" said Lucia shrieked in embarrassment.

Ryan went back to Lucia. "Tell me if you need anything, I'll help you, whatever it is" he said.

Lucia asks Rayn not to worry too much because even though she looks very painful, it will not be long. Lucia apologized for making Rayn anxious. Lusia was very understanding as a Rayn man would definitely feel more pain if he could only see.

"Don't you have an appointment with your father? Go Rayn, I'm fine" Lucia asked.

Rayn insists on staying and will not leave Lucia at a time like this, but Lucia also continues to reassure Rayn that the pain she feels will not be long and everything will improve soon.

Rayn's father was silent for a moment, he smiled and continued to brew tea in his hand. "Maybe what you saw was just making it hard for you to interfere. I know you've never been comfortable with all the surveillance you've been doing. But.." said Mr. Charles who was stopped because it was cut by Rayn.

"I know, the reason why you stopped my medication is because you were worried about me. Rayn lowered her head, enduring the unbearable sadness. He tried not to show it in front of his father. Rayn sighed then looked back at her father, with a trembling voice she continued her speech.

"I'm afraid of facing a world that would blame me for making you lose your mother. I was the only one who made him leave at the time. So, I think this phobia is already punishment enough for me. I feel unworthy to heal" Rayn said.

Rayn went on to say what she wanted to say. "I know all the real reasons but I want to close my eyes and ears to that fact. But now I want to heal Dad. For her sake, I want to be a normal husband. I don't want to keep making it difficult because of my hobby. I wanted to take care of him and really wanted to be able to protect him dad" Rayn said in tears.

"Do Rayn, everything you want to do. Now that you have someone who will always be waiting for you to come home, how can you continue to harbor that fear, so do it all without regret. Your mother never blamed you for everything that happened. Your mother would also be hurt if she kept seeing you like this" Rayn's father said.

Slowly Rayn dropped the tears that had been sober earlier. Her crying broke with a chest-painful sobbing in front of her father. Rayn's father was eager to hug and pat his son on the shoulder, but he couldn't do it. It hurt her heart to see Rayn cry alone. During this time his son had borne the burden alone, it was time he gave up all that suffering. A meeting between a son and a father is heartwarming.

The night got late, Lucia woke up and she did not see Rayn next to her, even blankets and pillows were still neatly arranged.

"Is he still not back this late" Lucia said staring at the wall clock.

Lucia came out of the room and down the stairs, she saw the lights still brightly lit and Rayn sat on the stairs alone. Slowly Lucy stepped down the stairs to Rayn.

"Rayn.." call Lucia.

Rayn turned her head and she threw a smile at Lucia. "Did I wake you?" tanyakanya.

Lucia shook her head indicating that she was awake not because of Rayn. Rayn spread out her hands asking Lucia to sit on her lap. "Is your stomach still hurting?" ask Rayn.

Lusia shook her head without saying anything, her facial expression focused on Rayn. "Have you just come back? Did something happen?" lusia asked worriedly looking at Rayn.

Rayn returned only to untangle a thin and short smile. Without answering Lucia's question, she hugged Lucia and leaned her head in her arms. "I'm sorry for having to make you my backrest again" she said, and hugged Lucia even more tightly in her lap.

"I'm just straightening out what I need to straighten out with my dad. Thank you, thank you for being by my side until I am at this point. Without you maybe I will never have the courage to face it" continued Rayn still in the arms of Lusia.

Lucia let go of her embrace, she stared fixedly at Rayn's face which was also looking at her. Lucia clenched Rayn's jaw and neckline, without a word she gently kissed her husband's lips. Slowly Lusia let go of her kiss and then looked back into the eyes of Rayn who was still shrouded in sadness.

"Not only will it get to this point Rayn, but I will always be with you forever, be by your side and be your backstop as you are now forever" Lucia said.

Rayn was silent, and she looked at Lucia's face. Without a word he brought his face closer and returned the kiss with a kiss that swept Lucia away and made her instantly accept and return the kiss.
