CHAPTER 159 - Loyalty of Leona

Morning greeted again, in a hotel room Leona sat leaning her body on the edge of the bed. He glanced at the table, there was a breakfast menu complete with fruit and a glass of milk prepared for him.

With bare feet, Leona got off the bed walking towards the table that was already filled with food. He grabbed a piece of paper that read Mickey's message.

[I left your car in Basemen, don't go on an empty stomach ]

The message is so short but it also shows attention. Mickey and Leona are grown men and women, there is no need for long pleasantries or explanations to point out or clarify anything between them. Leona broke her smile after reading it. He looked at himself on the glass screen. "I look so fucked up" he said languidly.

Leona grabbed bread for her breakfast. Just one bite, Leona heard her phone ring. A call from Derward early in the morning gave him goosebumps. It seems Derward is already very curious about what happened between Mickey and Leona.

"Why don't you work as a reporter instead of running a bar" Leona said in a call without saying hello or asking why Derward had contacted her. It was as if Leona already knew the reason Derward called her early in the morning.

"Did you guys do it?" ask Derward more without further ado. He really asked directly at the point.

Leona asks instead of going crazy on the phone, why did Derward not just come to her to make sure himself directly about what happened. Derward casually answered why he had to go to them while he could tell firsthand what had happened to him.

"Why? Do you want more?"

"Didn't you want it?" leona asked, he was very curious to know the reason as far as Mickey thought and looked at him.

"If I wanted it, would you give it willingly?" ask Mickey.

Leona did not reply, she just silently looked at Mickey who was still staring at her. Mickey smiled and said."I won't do it" he said.

Mickey tidied up the blanket that covered Leona's body, then laid her body right next to Leona. Mickey hugged Leona's body in his arms. Mickey apologized if he had nearly injured Leona. Mickey asks Leona to give him time and wait for him.

Mickey knew and knew very well that Leona had been doing it all this time. All these years he's been by Mickey's side waiting for him. However, what Mickey always does is choose not to take one step because he cannot promise Leona anything.
