Chapter 35 - Trust Me

Given Mickey's insistence, Lucia attempts to complete her mission by taking Rayn away from the Villa. One of the places he wanted to visit right now was a bookstore. At first Rayn refused to leave and remained in her painting room.  But finally he was devastated by the whining of Lusia who felt very disturbing.

Lucia and Rayn go to a library as well as a bookstore accompanied by Arka. Along the way, Lucia tries to ventured to ask Rayn about the request of the escort for her. “Anal of bodyguards

for me, why should I have it?” ask Lucia.

“Don't answer it by asking me, did Mickey not tell you” orders Lucia saw Rayn seemed hesitant to answer. He remembered Mickey's reply as he asked him this question.

Rayn laughed amusedly. “I haven't even said anything” he said.

“At the moment, I can only tell you if the person who came to Villa at that time was not the one who was targeting or threatening me. But, it has to do with you” Rayn replied without further ado making Lucia instantly panic.

“With me?” lusia asked seriously as she positioned herself against Rayn sitting next to her.

“We have until” cut Arka together when Rayn will answer Lucia's question.

“We will discuss it in more detail later with Mickey, when he has got a bodyguard for you”, replied Rayn and opened the car door.

“Tell me now” said Lucia held Rayn's hand that would open the door.

Rayn turned around, she turned back to face Lucia. “Don't worry, I will definitely tell you. At first I'll keep quiet because I don't want to worry you until Mickey's done investigating. But, I think you also need to know so that you can be more alert and careful” he said.

"Then what's your problem with the bodyguards Mickey has brought in? Why did you refuse him for such an absurd reason. Too beautiful you say? Do you really just feel rivaled by their good looks and Arka ?" Lucia asked with Arka pointing. Arka who noticed from the recollected espionage lowered his head as if he did not want to get involved with the debate of the two.

"What's wrong with you Rayn, what makes you not accept if he's all the time accompanied by a handsome man who will protect him. Be honest if you're envious of not being able to do it" Rayn murmured inwardly speaking to herself.

"A bodyguard must look fierce and bar-bar to be feared. That way they'll see he's really a bodyguard. It doesn't look like a couple going out on a date." Rayn replied contrary to what she thought. It was obvious Lucia's dissatisfied face would be Rayn's answer. But he realized that what Rayn said had a point.

Lucia again asked for reassurance from Rayn. "You're sure it's related to me, not to you?" ask Lucia. Rayn simply replied with a nod.

"I don't need a bodyguard. So, you and Mickey don't have to do it" Lucia said in a serious tone.

Lucia still believes that if it is true that the person Mickey suspects is related to him, then it must be the loan sharks. For him escorts are not the solution, because they will remain and continue to target him. Lucia believed those people would not be stupid as long as they hurt or even intend to kill him. They will only always threaten to get what they want, namely debt repayment. Compared to her, Lucia was even more worried if the threat came to her family.

"Are you serious about what you just said?" ask Rayn.

Lucia did not want to trouble and implicate Rayn in her troubles. It's not Rayn's duty to protect her. "Of course, who am I to the point of getting a special escort. I'm just someone who works for you. I'm not part of your family, your wife or your lover. But I'm very grateful that you've been worrying about me and trying to protect me" Lucia replied.

"Suddenly? Why?" mickey asked in surprise at Rayn's orders.

"We can't force it if it's just going to make Lucia uncomfortable" Rayn replied. "Just do my word" Ryan continued, then hung up.

Mickey just followed Rayn's orders. Even though in his heart he was upset. Rayn had played by unceasingly canceling after forcing her to immediately look for a bodyguard according to criteria such as being looking for a mate.

Hearing Rayn and Mickey's conversation further made Lusia unwell. He just apologized and thanked me. Rayn smiled, she did not want to create an awkward atmosphere between them.

"Can we get out now?" ask Ryan. Lusia nodded with a smile as Rayn appreciated her decision.

Rayn gets out of the car followed by Lucia. “What will we do here?” rayn looked at a bookstore in front of him.

“Of course to read a book or buy a book” replied Lucia to Rayn's silly question when it was clear they were in front of the bookstore.

Lucia reached out her hand to Rayn smilingly asking Rayn to grab her. Rayn looked at Lucia's hand. He regulated his breathing and grabbed and clasped Lucia's hand. Lucia was getting tighter and tighter. Lucia doesn't know what might happen next, but she promises to be there for Rayn. Rayn began to set foot following Lucia to enter.

Arka walk first install the body to guard the road and protect both. Rayn always stopped her steps and clasped Lucia's hand every time she passed another visitor.

“You okay?” lusia asked seeing Rayn stop and closed her eyes.

"I can't do it, we're back now” Rayn answered opening her eyes, she pulled Lucia's hand to leave.

Lucia. "You must not give up, slowly you must be able to fight it" said Lucia.

"You know it's not something that's easy for me to fight" Rayn replied. "Did you forget, if." continued Rayn said in a higher tone, but suddenly she stopped her speech and took a deep breath.

"I'm sorry Lucia, I didn't mean to yell at you" Rayn continued.

“Trust me” said Lucia by clutching Rayn's hand which was starting to feel very cold. Lucia noticed that Rayn's face was getting pale and cold sweat was flowing but she remained calm indicating that Rayn was trying to hold her phobia.

“Nothing will change if you choose to give up Rayn. Don't pay attention to them, just just look at me, follow my steps and listen to me.” continued Lucia reassured Rayn.

Lucia's hope, even though what he did did not result in something as great as Rayn's recovery. However, making Rayn able to see and feel the beauty of the outside world was enough for her. He believes that if Rayn's heart is deepest, he wants it too.
