CHAPTER 84 - Why You Should Be

Rayn's shocking question made everything in the room go silent. The atmosphere became quiet, only Rayn's steps were heard approaching Mickey.

“Are you also on the scene back then?” ask Rayn back.

Mickey still does not answer Ryan's question, he only swallowed his saliva despite knowing that one day Rayn would ask him that question. Rayn's tone of voice sounded like she was interrogating him. Rayn's face began to suspect her. A gaze that he had never seen from Rayn all this time and that gaze was now directed towards him.

“Can you tell me how the phone is in your hands?” ask Rayn.

A real question could be Rayn's orders to Mickey to explain. However, I don't know how much Rayn respects and appreciates Mickey, so he still floats it as a question not a command.

Mickey breathed slowly. Well, of course it was a natural thing for Rayn to ask him. The question that Rayn should have asked since long ago, precisely since he learned Mickey kept the phone that Rayn thought was lost in the accident. In fact, after Rayn got the memory if the killer had his phone, Rayn still chose to keep his curiosity quiet why Mickey became the one who kept it.

If it wasn't for Dr. Leona, Mickey really doesn't know if Rayn has remembered how she lost her phone. With a face that still looks calm, Mickey began to open his voice to answer the question.

“Why didn't you ever tell me?” rayn asked with a sharp look.

“What is important? After you realized you were in a coma, do you think I had a reason to suddenly tell you that I was there? Do you think I'll talk about something that will make you recall that tragic incident? You don't even remember Rayn” Mickey replied.

The look on Mickey's face was very different from Rayn's, he looked very calm. As if what he said was true. Rayn lowered her head to throw a faint smile, she could not dodge if the fact that she did not remember the incident had become her biggest weakness.

“Then what are you doing there?” rayn asked, looking back at Mickey.

“I...” Mickey replied.

“Tell how the phone is in your hand!” cut Rayn. Now he's really given that order to Mickey.

“I...” Mickey replied still with a piece of the word ‘Au’, Rayn has again cut the unfinished speech.

“And did you meet him? Or maybe you know who that vile man is?” rayn continued to raise questions with an increasingly pressing gaze.

Rayn did not even give Mickey a chance to answer, he deliberately kept asking questions to vent his anger. He seemed unprepared for what the man standing before him would say.

“Why should you? Why should you be the one involved in this problem” Rayn murmured inwardly.

That thought shows how much trust Rayn has in Mickey and that trust he still maintains to this day. Rayn still hopes that what Mickey will say is not a disappointing fact, something that will break the bond they have been keeping all this time.

“I knew there was an accident but I didn't see who had it. And I don't know, who's the guy you mean” Mickey replied.

“Rayn, calm down, we can discuss it slowly later. Right now you are not in good condition” said Dr. Leona who was starting to get anxious saw Rayn almost reach the peak of her anger. He then asked Mickey for a while to delay his explanation until Rayn could be calmer.

Mickey ignored what Dr. Leona, for him, there was no reason to delay telling the facts that Rayn should have known. However, Mickey will not be able to refuse anything Rayn has told him.

"About why I went there and how I could have a phone it was just a coincidence” Mickey replied.

"Then what did you keep it for?' ask Rayn again.

Back that night, in a luxurious room, where a sick Mickey was being treated. Adelin's aunt, who is Anderson's nanny, goes to Mickey's room to bring him dinner. With a tray of soup in his hand he opened the door. However, he was surprised to find the room empty. He didn't see Mickey in his bed, even the infusion needle hung just like that.

“Young master Mickey, Young master.” call him. He put the tray on the nightstand and poked every corner of the room looking for Mickey by calling him.

"Aunt..”.

With a voice so soft because his body is still limp, Mickey came out of the bathroom while buttoning his clothes. With a face that was still pale, Mickey seemed to have difficulty hooking one by one the buttons of his shirt.

“Young master Mickey..” call aunt Adelin.

Aunt Adelin immediately ran up to Mickey, with a face full of anxiety with teary eyes she grabbed both of Mickey's shoulders and led him to sit on the bed.

“Young master why take off the infusion, and why change clothes? Young master where are you going?” tanyakanya.

The question he asked while hooking each button of Mickey's clothes. He was afraid that not immediately would make Mickey catch a cold. Mickey grabbed his phone that was on the nightstand.

“Let's follow Rayn bi..” Mickey said looking at aunt Adelin with a asking gaze.

Aunt Adelin was shocked at Mickey's request. Mickey asks for something that is not the power of Aunt Adelin to grant him. Mrs. Angelina and Rayn had just left not until 30 minutes ago but Mickey suddenly asked to catch up with them.

Aunt Adelin was silent, she had no heart for Mickey. Aunt Adelin felt it was natural as a child who also wanted to go to a celebration. But as he knows, the reason why they left without Mickey is because Mickey is sick. Aunt Adelin did not dare to comply with the request, plus Mrs. Angelina gives him the mandate to look after and care for Mickey as long as he goes with Rayn.

“Young master Mickey is sick, and Mrs. Angelina asks Mickey for a break to get well quickly, so. “ obviously Aunt Adelin is still persuading Mickey.

Aunt Adelin stared fixedly at Mickey's face. He sighed and then stood up to go to the large closet in the room. He pulled over some of the clothes hanging and grabbed the thickest jacket to wear to Mickey.

“Wear the jacket, it's very cold outside. We'll go to the celebration but not to find Mrs.Angelina and young Master Rayn. Because Ms. Angelina would have been mad at auntie if she had known to bring young Master Mickey out."

"Aunt Adelin, I have prepared a car outside" said a driver.

"Young Master Mickey, we should have come back before the celebration was over so that Ms.Angelina did not know and was not angry" Aunt Adelin's message before finally leading Mickey out to enter the car that the driver had prepared.

Without saying much Mickey just nodded and got into the car. Aunt Adelin still thinks Mickey just wants to see the celebration. He doesn't know if Mickey has another reason behind it, a reason that requires him to go find Rayn and her mother immediately.
