CHAPTER 15 - The Beginning of All

It's been a few days since Lucia got a job offer from Mickey. He always gets messages and calls Mickey who has been like a terror for him.It seems Mickey never give up pursuing Lusia, even he came to the Cafe where Lusia works. But Lucia still always gives the same answer if she rejects the offer.

Today was a very exhausting day for Lucia. The large number of flower orders made him miss the break and continue to be busy until the time of work at the cafe.

Today the cafe is also very crowded with visitors. In the middle of his work time, Lucia's phone continued to vibrate repeatedly in his apron bag. Lucia continued to ignore the call because it was receiving orders from Cafe visitors. He thinks it's still a call from Mickey without checking it.

“Heistt..., does he have no other job what” upset Lucia took her phone intending to turn off because it was disturbing.

Lucia was surprised to find that the repeated incoming calls were no longer calls from Mickey, but calls from Aunt Nia. Aunt Nia is her mother's neighbor in a fishing village. Aunt Nia has always been kind and helpful to the Lusia family. Seeing the call from Aunt Nia, Lucia immediately answered her call.

“Hallo Bibi Nia, sorry Lusia just answered Bibi” phone call greet Lucia in a humble and polite tone.

“Lussia, sorry auntie bothered you, but did your mother contact you or tell you about the situation she is in?” ask Aunt Nia straight to the point.

“No Aunty, it's been almost 1 week ago we talked by phone. What's up Auntie ? did something happen to mom?” tanya Lucia started to panic.

“So noon there was a group of people who came and they said they would take your grandmother's house” said Aunt Nia.

“What is bi ?“ tanya Lucia was surprised to hear Aunt Nia's words.

“Does Aunt Nia know who they are?” ask Lucia.

Aunt Nia also did not know for sure what was really going on. He only knew at a glance what those people were saying to Mother Lucia. They asked the Lucia family to vacate the house tomorrow.

Lusia keeps asking to get more information.“Did Auntie talk to Mom?” tannya

“Of course Lucia, but your mother just kept quiet and just kept crying. Your grandmother still doesn't seem to know what's going on. He took Luke for a walk to comfort him. Lukas was very surprised by the incident earlier.” Aunt Nia explained what she knew.

Auntie Nia contacted Lucia because she had guessed that Lucia must have not heard anything from her mother. He was very worried about the Lusia family, so he felt he had to immediately tell Lucia.

“Good bi, Lucia will make sure first to mother what really happened. Thank you, Lucia hang up the phone yah“ said Lucia politely and then ended the call.

Lucia rushed to contact her mother. Lucia's body had started to limp, her heart was pounding even more. He could only endure the tremors of being lipped when his mother did not answer his call.

“Mother pick up her phone” getir Lucia who keeps repeatedly contacting her mother.

Lucy's mother just stared at her phone ignoring the call from Lucia. He did not answer the call from his daughter. Lucia's mother just shed tears crying not knowing what to say to her daughter if she answered the call. He turned off his phone and held it in a hysterical cry without a sound because he wanted to wake Luke who had fallen asleep in his lap.

‘The number you contacted is inactive or out of range, try a few more seconds’

“Mother, why mom turned off her phone” said Lucia found her mother's number is no longer active.

“Dave... “ call Lucia saw Dave just got back from the toilet. Lucia stopped Dave's footsteps by clasping his arm.

“Iya sis.." replied Dave surprised.

“Are you busy tomorrow?” ask Lucia.

“Tomorrow ? as usual I have taekwondo class. ” Dave replied.

“Oh, you're right. You take classes every Saturday” said Lucia scratching her head looking very confused and panicked.

“What's up, tell me. If Lucy needs me tomorrow, I can take Taekwondo” class permission.

“Can you replace my shift work tomorrow?” ask Lucia.

Lucy really doesn't want to trouble Dave. But he has no other choice as one of their co-workers Vhia is currently on leave.

“What happened something ?” ask Dave back.

“Something urgent happened with my mother and I had to go home soon. I'll leave after work. I don't know if I can come back tomorrow, that's why I need you” Lucia replied.

“Of course I can replace Lucy, but Lucy's sister will be home late and there will be no more buses. Don't tell me you will drive with a motorcycle scuter kaku” said Dave.

“I have no other choice” said Lucia bowed shut her face with her two arms holding back her grief.

Dave advises Lucia to ask for Reisa's help tonight to replace Lucia. Thus Lucia still had time to take the last Bus. Dave knew that Reisa could help him because Reisa had worked part-time at Friends Cafe before she worked at the Gallery.

“He is also a friend of Mr. Kelvin, so it should be that Mr. Kelvin will understand the situation and allow it. I'll be overtime today to help him” Dave said.

Reisa is a girl who is easily familiar with anyone. So that this impromptu work will not make it difficult. Plus, all Friend Cafe employees already know Reisa because they often come to the Cafe with David and Kelvin.

“Alright, at this time I have no choice, Reisa should now go home to work and be at the boarding house" Lucia said in her heart and tried to contact Reisa.

“Resia, where are you ? sorry... can I ask for your help now ?” ask Lucia in a phone call.

“Oh of course Lucia, I was at home and just finished taking a shower. What what is ?” asked Reisa who was drying her hair.

“Can you replace me at the Cafe? Something urgent happened to my mother. Until now I still can't reach him. I have to go home soon, I am worried about them” Lucia replied with quivering lips. He could no longer hold back his tears.

“Oh sure, I'll be to Cafe soon, don't worry. What if I ask David to deliver you?” reisa asked as she hurriedly grabbed some clothes in her room.

"Thank you, Reisa. You don't have to ask David, I'll leave on the last bus. Don't worry and I'm sorry I've been troubling you so how could I still trouble David” Lucia said.

“You don't need to thank me and stop telling me about bothering me if you think of me as your best friend. Whatever I will do to help you” said Reisa.

"I'm still trying to get in touch with Kelvin to ask his permission" Lucia said.

“Don't worry about Kelvin, I'll take care of him. Be careful on the way and let me know immediately when you get there. Me and David will catch up with you after work tomorrow” said Reisa.

Lucia's already on the bus, she still can't reach Kelvin. Kelvin is currently busy with his team overtime working on projects that are being pursued by deadlines. Kelvin's phone is in his bag in silent mode so he does not know the phone call Lusia.

‘Kelvin, sorry there's something urgent right now and I have to go home to my grandmother. I asked Reisa for help to replace me at the Cafe. I'm sorry I decided without your permission and didn't discuss it with you first'
