CHAPTER 22 - Call for a New Boss

Lucia has officially signed a contract with Mickey. He no longer works at the Mey Flowers florist. In fact, today became the last day Lucia stayed at the boarding house with Reisa.

Mickey sent Lusia a file containing the Villa floor plan and a list of all the things he had to pay attention to during his stay at Villa. Everything is detailed and written very clearly. Mickey asks Lusia to learn it herself first. The rest, he will explain tomorrow when he returns from out of town.

“Lussia, do you have to leave this morning?” asked Reisa who was still not fully conscious from her sleep. He grabbed onto the hand of Lucia who was already preparing to leave.

Lucia approached Reisa and hugged him. “I've prepared breakfast for you” he said with a smile.

Reisa's phone keeps ringing with calls coming in from David. Reisa who was still hugging the spoiled Lucia was reluctant to answer her lover's call.

“What about tomorrow?. You don't live here anymore. So, who will prepare breakfast for me?.  Lucia...., can't you put it off again?” reisa Whine.

Seeing that Reisa did not take off her arms, Lucia tried to reach for Reisa's phone. Without sin, he immediately answered David's call.

“I will prepare breakfast for you“ David said in a Video call. Lucia directs her cell phone camera to show David that Reisa is like a koala child who does not want to be separated from her mother.

“Not only breakfast, but I will lose a friend telling me about grievances, bedmates, and loss.. ” said annoyed Reisa heard David say it so easily.

“Come here, I can take his place and do everything for you including friends...“ Cut David suddenly makes Lucia and Reisa turn to look at David's face on the mobile phone screen considering Reisa discussing the loss of a bedmate. The look of the two made David feel amused.

“Come here, I'm ready to hug you. Don't you see, he's helpless to escape your arms” said David.

“What did you think of that look? haha” continued David laughing.

Lucia calmed Reisa back down. “You can still contact me if you need a friend to confide. Although I'm pretty sure that you'll only be looking for me to complain about him” Lucia glanced at David. David just laughed at Lucia's insinuation.

“You can also meet me at Cafe” continued Lucia.

"What if we had a dinner party together after Lucia from the Cafe?. Not a farewell party, but just enjoying the togetherness before Lusia moved?” ask David. He thought about it because now he was more worried about Reisa's feelings.

“Good idea, how is Reisa ?” ask Lucia.

“OK, no need to wait for an answer from him. I'm the only one who decides. Maybe we should have a party at Cafe Kelvin. I'll take care of it with Kelvin. Reisa, you can let go now and just clear everything again later” David ordered.

Feeling helped by David, Lucia immediately handed the phone to Reisa and left. Reisa continues a Video call with David after Lucia leaves him.

Arriving at the Villa, Lucia checked the cupboard which was filled with some fresh vegetables and fruits that had been placed by the couriers. He also checked the notes Mickey sent him last night via email.

In the note, it is clearly written the schedule anytime the hotel courier, fruit store, vegetable store, and others come to deliver the package. They already knew they had to put it in a prepared cupboard.

Usually Rayn would pick it up some time later after the courier left the Villa. In the future, Rayn does not need to do it anymore because there is already Lucia who can receive it directly from the couriers.

Like a mission for him, Mickey asks Lusia for some time to take Rayn to the supermarket to shop together. Something difficult to do, but Lucia will try it.

"This is just the name of the refrigerator" said Lucia by putting one by one fruits and vegetables. He was relieved because in the future the refrigerator will no longer be filled with alcohol. Lucia continued reading the notes and checking the entire Villa Rayn that had been created virtually by Mickey.

Lucia went to a room on the first floor that was written if it would be her room. A room with a size large enough, clean, and coated with paint with dice motifs.

Mickey said the funiture would be brought in today to fill Lusia's room. So it can be ascertained if Lucia can occupy it from tomorrow. He also told Ryan about it. Thus, Rayn would only remain on the second floor until they finished the room for Lucia.

Lusia continued his touring slowly set foot up one by one step of the stairs. Lucia was amazed when he arrived on the second floor, he was immediately presented with an open room with glass walls with sled doors and balconies. The rows of bookshelves made the roar resemble a private library with 1 set of large work desks and a sofa to relax on.

“Wah... “ Decak amazed Lucia opened the glass door and went out to the balcony. He looked at the Villa courtyard surrounded by beautiful pine trees. Lucia closed the glass door again, then she continued to check several other rooms.

In Mickey's notes, it says all of Rayn's daily activities. Rayn used to start her morning by going to sports, then she would continue her activities reading books in the reading room or working in her privacy room. Lucia walked towards Rayn's room and a room next to her that was referred to as Rayn's private room.

“Private room?. What is it doing in this room so it says privacy area and can not enter without his permission?” whispered Lucia alone in front of the door with a hanging board that reads (GET OUT....!!!) Reading that Lucia immediately left him with a head shake.

“I didn't see him jog all the way here. Is he still sleeping?” lucy asked inwardly intending to knock on the door. However, he abandoned his intentions and went to the kitchen to cook.

Knowing Rayn had only been eating the food Mickey regularly ordered from the hotel, making Lucia doubt whether Rayn would like the cuisine.

Amidst the struggle to cook in the kitchen, suddenly a voice heard someone was pressing the door password to enter.

“What Mickey came by?” tanya Lucia went to make sure who came.

The door opened, he saw Rayn enter with her clothes and hair that had been made wet by her sweat. Lucia was stunned to see another charm from Rayn. Slowly Rayn stepped closer to him, Lucia's heart suddenly gurgled helplessly to find Ryan getting closer to her.

“Can you step aside?. You are blocking my path” said Rayn with a cynical look disperse the daydreams of Lusia. Lucia quickly got rid of her body by letting Rayn in. Rayn just passed him by.

“Lussia wake yourself up.. !” said Lucia blinked her eyes and shook her head to awaken from Rayn's charm.

“Do you want to burn my kitchen? “ shouted Rayn saw the food that had been burnt was panned with a puff of smoke.

Lucia ran and turned off the stove. “Nearly” he said with breath gasping.

“You came to protect me or plan to burn me alive?" rayn asked and left, leaving Lucia without giving her a chance to answer.

Not until Rayn's 3 steps back again. “Remember, I only had breakfast with salad and milk. So, forget it if you cook just to prepare breakfast for me” he continued up to the second floor.

“Wait, Mickey says that you sometimes get bored with the food he ordered for you. He cares a lot about your health. So, tell me if you want any other cuisine other than just salad and milky“ shouted Lucia to Rayn.

“You work for me or for him?” rayn asked with a sharp look as Lucia listened to Mickey more than she did.

“OK..., salad and milk. I will remember it” said Lucia nodding with a forced smile, then putting on a faint face after Rayn completely vanished from her sight.

“Then, for whom I prepared this all“ murmur weakly clean cooking utensils.

Lucia went to Rayn's room to bring her salad and milk. Lucia knocked on the door, Ryan's cry was heard asking Lucia to come in. Rayn is currently in the bathroom. Lucia slowly stepped her foot in and placed the food tray on the table. He saw a picture of a boy about 5 years old, sitting on the lap of a beautiful woman.

“It looks like this when he was a kid with his mother” said Lucia smiling.

Rayn was out of the bathroom. “You're still here?” tanyakanya.

“I'm out. Oh well, were you really new from jogging?” ask Lucia.

“Do you think?” ask Rayn.

“Only I have not seen you all the way to come to Villa. So, I thought you were still sleeping.

“Then?” ask Rayn.

“Eemm... no, just ask. Forget it, it doesn't matter either" Lucia replied.

"Oh yes, because I've officially worked with you. Then, how should I call you?" asked Lucia who had already opened the door half. “Pak Rayn? The boss? Boss Ryan? Young Master Ra..y...n?” she hesitates to wait for Ryan's answer.

"Don't it seem like you're used to yelling at me saying You, Hey, Dad, Rayn !.  What makes you suddenly ask that. Does a guy who's been like a psychopath in your eyes need a title to call?” rayn asked Lucia. Recalling the past few times Lucia had always been rude and disrespectful to him.

“Psychopath?. Was he talking about that night? What he can really read my thoughts, how he knows my first assessment of him is psychopath” Lucia chirped inwardly.

Rayn approached and touched Lucia's shoulder with a seductive look. He moved his hand down to his arm and landed in the hands of Lucia who was still holding the doorknob. Rayn's behavior made Luisa nervous.

“I don't need any titles, even I don't care if you don't respect me” Rayn said by removing Lucia's hand from the doorknob and slowly pushing her out of her room.

“Just worry how I will treat you in the future” continued Rayn said and then closed the door.

“Wah, whew… . Is he a player?” lusia asked with goosebumps looking at how Rayn kicked him out as if she was teasing him.
