CHAPTER 142 - The One Who Protects You

"Dad.." call Lucia frantically looking at her father.

"Mother, what happened to father" asked Lusia as she held tightly to the father's hand.

Kelvin who was outside was unable to hold himself back, he immediately entered and pulled Lucia's body away from her father. Kelvin clasped Lucia's hand tightly and positioned Lusia standing behind Lucia.

"Your father lost control and he could have hurt you" Kelvin said.

Lucia's father kept shouting obscure words and tried to rebel until his wheelchair collapsed. Luisa's mother immediately shouted to help her husband. Lucia who was about to help her father was arrested by Kelvin. Kelvin increasingly tightly held onto Lucia's hand and did not let Lucia approach her father.

"Kelvin, release!" shouted Lucia

Kelvin remained unconcerned and did not want to let go of his grasp at all. He didn't care if I was there Rayn was staring at him. Rayn clenched her hands showing her anger but she could do nothing. Amidst the chaos, Rayn leaves the room.

"Lusia I beg you" said Kelvin, still holding Lucia.

"Kelvin, Lucia, calm yourself!!!" shouted mother Lusia.

With hunting breath Kelvin stared at Lucia's mother who was trying to calm her husband. "I won't let him hurt Lucia, you know that when Mr. Raymon loses his mind he will hurt himself and everyone around him. He could've hurt her like when Mr. Raymon tried to kill me. I won't let that happen to him."

Kelvin immediately pulled Lusia's arm and carried her out of the room. "Kelvin, what do you mean?" lusia asked following Kelvin's steps which forced her out of leaving her father.

"Remove your hands off her! You hurt him" Rayn's orders made Kelvin who was in the hallway stop his steps.

Rayn comes back with the nurses she calls who will help calm Lucia's father in a medical way. Rayn stood at a distance staring at Kelvin who was still tightly grasping at Lucia. Without realizing it Kelvin has grasped it firmly until reddened and painful.

"Rayn.." call Lucia.

Without a word Kelvin loosened his grasp until Lucia could break away. Lucia ran towards Rayn and immediately hugged her in tears. "My father.." he said accompanied by a sobbing that made his word intermittent.

Rayn hugged his wife's body tightly and apologized if at times like this he was useless and could not do, even he was unable to protect her.

There Kelvin was silent looking at Rayn and Lucia. He tried to withstand the tightness that now hit him. Kelvin tried to turn his back and leaned his body against the wall and lowered his head.

Rayn leads Lucia to sit in the castle. He then squatted in front of Lusia while reaching for Lucia's hand. "Lussia, today is enough. You've been through a lot, it's okay to rest for a moment" said Rayn.

"I'm sorry, if again I always worry you. Only until I can make sure my dad's okay, can you wait." Lucia pleaded with Rayn with a lebab face for crying too long. Even the tears were still blocked and occasionally dripped back.

Rayn hugged his wife's body. "All right." he said in a sad voice.

Lucia's father was getting medical handlers inside, while they were all still there and waiting. The nurse gave a sedative that would make Lusia's father sleepy to sleep. No more were the cries of the father and the screams of his mother.

Not long after the nurses left the room followed by Lucy's mother who also came out to say thank you and drove them out. Lucia immediately got up from her seat, as did Kelvin and Rayn who were also standing.

Lucia immediately asked her father's condition with a hoarse voice. His mother approached and said that his father had improved and was currently asleep. Lucia's mother asks Rayn to bring Lucia home and rest because she also needs to take care of her health. Rayn returns home with Lucia. While Kelvin was still there along with Ms. Lucia.

After Rayn and Lucia left, Lucy's mother approached Kelvin, who was still standing, looking at her. "Sit down." said Ms. Lusia sat down and let Kelvin sit down.

Kelvin sat down next to Lucia's mother. Lucia's mother said that she would not force Kelvin to go home because it would be useless. All he knows is that if Kelvin is also a stubborn child, he will not obey if he is determined or has the will.

"I'm sorry" Kelvin said.

"You don't have to apologize, because this is all the fault of a mother who can't be a good mother to Lucia. Kelvin did it because of mother's request. I thought it was a way to protect her, but I forgot over time that she was going to grow up and not the daughter of a child again. I should have told him, but I chose to wait and wait without any certainty of time." explained Lucia's mother.

Kelvin asks Lucia's mother not to blame herself too much. As he said just now, if Lucia was no longer a child like she used to be. Kelvin believes that as Lucia will be able to understand her mother's feelings, Lucia will understand why her mother did all this.

"May I hug you?" asked Kelvin suddenly.

Lucia's mother smiled indicating that Kelvin could do it. Kelvin smiled and hugged Lucy's mother. Slowly he patted the shoulder of Lusia's mother repeatedly gently. Kelvin hugged her because at times like this, Lucy's mother would need someone who would always support and understand her.

"I'm sorry if I said this, but you did your best. Everything you do is enough to protect everything. Protecting your daughter and husband" Kelvin said.

Lucy's mother then let go of Kelvin's embrace and smiled. He is very proud if the man he faces today is really an adult, no longer children like the first time they met. During this time, Lucy's mother had considered Kelvin like her own son. Lucy's mother did not expect Kelvin to still remember the incident where her husband almost killed Kelvin.

Fifteen years ago, Lucia's father relapsed and lost his mind. Lucia's father tried to end his life in the room, he no longer wanted to be a burden to his son and wife. At that time Kelvin who was also there tried to save Lucia's father. But alas, Lucia's father suddenly became angry and uncontrollable.

Lucia's father grabbed Kelvin's small body and threw him in the door until it closed. Just as Kelvin was about to get out, Lucia's father again grabbed his body and choked Kelvin's neck mercilessly. Luckily, the loud cry of Lucia's father was heard by one of the nurses who passed by and immediately helped Kelvin from the strength of Lucia's father. Kelvin was rushed to the hospital and received a medical nurse.

Since then, Kelvin has never visited again. Kelvin's father strictly forbade Kelvin to come to see Lucia's father. The incident did not make Kelvin angry or hateful. But he believes that something really happened that made Lucia's father act like that.

There must be someone she hates and treats unfairly. And at that time, Lucia's father must have seen the figure of that person to Kelvin. That must be the reason why Lucia's father tried to end Kelvin's life.

Arriving at the Villa, Rayn immediately escorted Lucia to her bed. He helped Lucia to lay herself down. Rayn takes the blanket and covers Lucia.

"Rest." said Rayn as she kissed his forehead.

Lucia closed her eyes, while Rayn stayed seated on the bed staring at her.

"I won't let myself continue like this. Like a fool who can only stare at you hurt like this. I can't wait anymore, tell me if I can't hide anymore. I'll do it, wait for me."

"Our destiny will still continue to blow like the wind. Together with that wind I will come towards you perfectly. Until I'm the only one who will protect you. Be the only place for you to rest and rest when you're tired. Even at a time like this, I will be the only one who will hug your little shoulder. You can cry, let those tears flow in my arms and I'll wait for you without a word."

Rayn grabs her phone, she scrolls the contacts on the phone that only show a few names. So Rayn stopped at one name. ~Leona~ .
