CHAPTER 110 - He's Still Alive

Mickey had arrived at a luxurious and magnificent apartment building. Before getting out of the car, he was immediately greeted by several men dressed in neat suits and drove him to the Penthouse unit on the highest floor of the building.

There was a clinking sound and the elevator doors opened. Mickey has now entered a private residence that presents all the luxuries and also 360-degree views with a very beautiful and amazing view.

Mickey glanced at a lung man approaching him. Yes, that man's name is Mr. Alex. Mr. Alex asked Mickey to follow him into a very large room. The incoming sunlight penetrated through the window panes on one side of the room, making the room feel warm, bright, and very comfortable. There stood Rayn's father looking out at the vast ocean below.

"I heard you've been in Canada for a long time but only now have you come to visit" said Mr. Charles, aware of Mickey's arrival. He remained focused on looking ahead while brewing the tea in his hand.

"I'm sorry sir, if my impoliteness has offended you, it's because I have a personal affair" Mickey said.

Mr. Charles turned around, he gave Mr. Alex the code and then immediately Mr. Alex approached and grabbed the cup from Mr. Charles' hand to put on the table. Mr. Charles walked over to the luxurious sofa in the room and sat down.

"Say.." Lord Charles ordered. "Don't you have a reason why you came looking for me?" Its effects.

Without further ado, Mickey immediately said his intention and purpose was to meet Rayn's father. "I'd like to ask for your help in reopening my father's shooting" Mickey said.

Mr. Charles gave a rude snort then looked at Mickey with a faint smile after hearing the unexpected request from the boy he had raised. Moreover, Mickey asks for help to reopen the case that has almost entered the criminal expiration period.

Mickey himself also knows if the court has decided to issue an expiration period of 18 years criminal prosecution for the case of the establishment of his father. During the expiration period, the case is not solved until the court closes the case then the prosecutor will lose the right to sue again the criminal case.

Not only that, Mickey and Mr. Charles also know the reason the case was closed was not because the police could not find the culprit, but they did not want to investigate further and deliberately close it. They avoided the suspicion of negligence because the attack occurred while the police were moving the prisoners to the prison, plus the incident to kill an inmate.

During this time Mickey and Mr. Charles did not ask for criminal follow-up because for them the death of the cruel man was enough to pay for everything.

"Don't you hate your father so much? Then...why do you want to reopen the case? It seems your personal business in Canada is not just about entertaining yourself" Rayn's father told Mickey.

"My father is still alive" Mickey said.

Mickey is confident police officers may know who was behind the attack. But they could not arrest the suspects because they were part of an organised crime ring protected by one of the mafia groups.

"So you've been tricking me all this time?" asked Mr. Charles with an angry face.

Mickey knelt to Rayn's father, he didn't have the slightest intention of wanting to cover up the facts. Mickey explains that he only found out about it after visiting his father's twin brother on the lawn. Mickey himself did not think that his father had disguised himself using the identity of his younger brother named Louis and is now languishing in prison.

Mickey realized it when he saw the scar on Louis' hand was the exact same wound as his father's, even he remembered it was he who used to make the wound in his father's hand. Louis had a permanent limp leg since childhood, so Mickey deliberately made a fuss and it turned out that the man he met in prison was not really limping. From there, Mickey is very sure that the Louis he met was not really his uncle but he was his father.

"Tell me everything you know and your plans to Alex. Then come back because the rest I'll take care of."

"But Lord Charles. "cut Mickey.

"Why? Are you afraid I'll kill him? Or... You want to eliminate it with your own hands? Are you sure you can do it?" ask Mr. Charles firmly.

Mickey stared with raised eyebrows in wonder. "What do you mean?" tanyakanya.

Sir Charles smiled cynically. "If it wasn't for Rayn, you might have killed her by then" he said.

It was never imagined by Mickey that his father was still alive. His father not only killed Rayn's mother but also left behind a deep trauma that left Rayn suffering from a phobia. Even his father seemed never satisfied and increasingly thirsty for evil. If the prisoner who died was his uncle, then most likely his father was also behind the mastermind of the attack.

Mickey clenched both his hands in anger, he wanted to be the one to take all that revenge. If not, then he will never escape his guilt to Rayn's mother and Rayn's.

Sir Charles stood up from his seat. "Not long after Rayn's mother's death, make sure Rayn doesn't come to Canada until I solve this problem" he said.

"But we have no reason to forbid it other than to tell the truth" Mickey replied.

"Don't Leona find the trigger and have a plan with the girl? That's why I'm asking you to come back and focus on Rayn's treatment" Lord Charles ordered.

"It turns out he told Mr. Charles" Mickey murmured inwardly.

Mickey had no idea that Leona had told Mr. Charles all of Rayn's development.

"Are you going to keep going like this?" ask Mickey to Rayn's dad. "The reason why you isolated him, are you going to keep him hidden from Rayn?" tanyanya.

Mr. Charles walked to the edge of the window, looking back at the view below. "That's not important now" he said. "The fact that your father is again a threat, that's what you should remember" he continued.

Mickey felt he had no reason to stay there. He left the apartment and called Dr. Leona.

"Did you tell him?" ask Mickey without further ado after connecting with Dr. Leona.

"You mean Mr Charles?" ask Dr. Leona could guess. "Don't he as his father need to know? ask back to Dr. Leona to Mickey.

"Do you still not understand the reason why I asked you to keep it a secret?" ask Mickey.

"Did you forget? If I'd never been on anyone's side. I'll just focus on my patients" said Dr. Leona.

Mickey smiled faintly describing his disappointment. "Well, then can I trust you this time? Focus on the patient without siding with anyone?" mickey asked in anger.

"If so focus on finding the reason why it should be Lucia and make sure you can finish it before Ms.'s death anniversary. Angelina" Mickey orders in a cynical tone before he's about to hang up.

"Mickey.." call Dr. Leona's still on call. "I think you can understand me" he continued.

Hearing this, Mickey resumed his call and said. "We may have the same understanding, but I don't think we're in line" he said, then actually hung up.
