CHAPTER 87 - You're Not a God or a God

Mickey's statement shocked Rayn and the others, saying a name they had never known and heard from Mickey before.

"Uncle Louis ?" rayn asked, repeating Mickey's statement.

"He's my father's twin brother" Mickey said.

"Rayn.." murmured Lusia softly looked at Rayn who was getting tighter grasping her hand. Lucia could feel the anger that Rayn was trying to endure after hearing Mickey's words.

"Why did he do it? Why did he do it to my mother? Why did he kill my mother, why ???" rayn asked unhurt with anger that he could no longer bear.

"I don't know, but I'll find the answer and make sure he gets the punishment he deserves. Because I'm sure he must have been involved in my father's death" Mickey said.

"Rayn calm down.." - Pinta Lucia.

"I don't know what to say to you anymore, it's also terrible for me. I can only beg

to you Rayn, give me time to find him. I'm going back to Canada" Mickey told Rayn with a face full of guilt.

Not only for Rayn, the reality was also a big blow for Mickey. He never thought if all this disaster was because of the work of his family. If he could turn the clock around, maybe Mickey at that time he would never choose to accept Rayn's match.

Mickey has decided to return to Canada, he will search for answers by finding the whereabouts of his uncle. Mickey will investigate and uncover the murder case most likely committed by his father's twin brother.

Mickey leaves Villa with Dr. Leona. Previously, Dr. Leona had already given some medicine to Rayn, she left it to Lucia.Dr. Leona asks Lusia to always be by Rayn's side and comfort her. Dr. Leona knew very well that Rayn was a very good person to hide her sadness, but she was fragile. On the way out of the Villa, Mickey is left in a car driven by Dr. Leona. Dr. Leona is also worried about Mickey looking devastated by everything that's going on.

"Are you sure you're going back to Canada to solve this case on your own?" ask Dr. Leona.

Dr. Leona asked not because she could not see the situation Mickey was facing. For others, of course they will not discuss sensitive things that could be more arousing emotions and wounds someone. But, Dr. Leona just wants to be a place for Mickey can vent and tell everything he is feeling.

At a time like this, Mickey needs someone who will listen and be in one mind with him. Letting him alone feel alone bearing the burden in this matter can actually make him decide the wrong path.

"Because it's the only way I can make up for it all" Mickey said without looking at Dr. Leona. He just stared at the pine forest they passed behind the car window.

"Why should you redeem everything while those who do? Is it because you feel like if you hadn't asked Rayn for help back then, none of this would have happened? Is that what you're thinking?" ask Dr. Leona.

Heard the words of Dr. Leona makes Mickey recall how she pleaded with Rayn in tears.

"I beg you to save my mother."

A request that he thought was the beginning of the catastrophe that happened with Rayn and her mother. Mickey felt a deep sense of guilt over Ms.'s death. Angelina and Rayn's phobia.

"That's all an unavoidable destiny" said Dr. Leona breaks Mickey's daydream which continues to blame her.

"Destiny?" mickey asked, speaking to himself with a faint smile.

"Mickey, you're not a God or a God who can see the human heart or see what the future holds. Therefore, do not regret or blame something that happened outside of your control" said Dr. Leona.

"Therefore listen to me, Mickey" said Dr. Leona stopped the car.

Understanding the anxiety of Dr. Leona, Mickey is staring at Dr. Leona and asked him not to worry. "Don't worry, I won't act stupid. You know, if I was that stupid, maybe I wouldn't have survived until now. Maybe I gave up and decided to end all the suffering peacefully with my mother. Either by taking my father's life away, or taking my own life and my mother's" said Mickey, who bowed as he began to shed his tears.

Mickey must recall the suffering he and his mother endured. In fact, he has not been able to repay the sacrifice made by the mother by always protecting her from the cruelty of the father. He did not even have time to apologize and thank his mother who first closed the age after almost a year in a coma. He hasn't had time to make his mother smile happily, only a smile forced by the mother imprinted on Mickey's memory.

"Mickey.." call Dr. Leona looked up at Mickey wiping his tears and then looked back at the streets.

Dr. Leona runs her car again, giving Mickey time to let go of his grief. Along the way Dr. Leona doesn't talk about anything until they get to the luxury apartment where Mickey lives. Mickey got out of the car after thanking Dr. Leona was brief.

Seeing Mickey about to enter the apartment lobby, Dr. Leona got out of the car and called out to him. "Mickey.." call him.

"I was going to tell you when I finished talking to Dr. Daniel. But, I think you need to know and I hope this can also be a strength for you to get through everything" continued Dr. Leona.

"Strength?" ask Mickey.

"Eemmm.." murmured Dr. Leona nodded with a smile.

"Your fight wasn't Mickey's in vain, so stop blaming yourself for everything that happened to Rayn. I think I've found the trigger for his phobia. Therefore, don't worry and you can trust Rayn to me" continued Dr. Leona.

Hearing that provoked a smile on Mickey's lips. "Thank you for telling me. You're right, this is happy news that makes me breathe more easily" he said with a smile.

Dr. Leona simply replied with a smile, although she was still sad and bitter as she stared at Mickey's walking back leaving her.

"Oh yes" said Mickey stopped his steps and turned back to look at Dr. Leona.

"I'm sorry I've troubled you by making you drive for me. Be careful on the way back" he continued, waving with a smile. He realized that he was too cruel just by saying a brief thank you to the woman.

"Haha, since when can he say it so sweetly to women" murmured Dr. Leona has known Mickey for a long time. Dr. Leona replied with a wave of her hand and smiled.

Dr. Leona knows Mickey very well, she is the only person who knows Mickey's every grief. Mickey may have always looked like an indifferent person, what he is and happy like not having a burden. But he is also a man who has so many wounds and bitter memories that he has been hard to forget for the rest of his life. He lives by having so many masks to cover his wounds.

Thanks Dr. Leona, who is also his personal doctor, Mickey began to be able to remove every wound and bitter memories from his life. Dr. Leona slowly helps Mickey build his palace of happiness by staying at his side and encouraging him.

Just like Rayn always does and keeps Mickey feeling. For others who saw Mickey's loyalty to Rayn and his family, they might have thought it was just a favor, but not Mickey. For Mickey, Rayn is the one who gives him hope for life. The person who made it can feel the true meaning of family.

Without Rayn and Dr. Leona out, maybe Mickey will just remain a piece of glass that continues to be trapped in the dark. As Dr. Leona says if he is not a God and not a God, he is just a human being who will not be able to survive alone through days of despair.
