Mr. Hephephobias
CHAPTER 140 - I've Always Been There

The POV Kelvin part 2

I really wish he knew me and I was nervous. He took a step closer without letting go of his eyes on me.

"You..."

"You... know me? Why did you give it to me?"

I breathed hearing that question. Forget Kelvin, what do you expect. That's what I told myself. He then asked me who I was, why give him flowers if I didn't know him and I couldn't answer that question.

I can only say a gray answer. "Next, I just want to do it. I've been here with a flower in my hand and I saw you. Think of it like that".

That's the answer I gave him. He asked if he looked so pitiful and if I did it out of pity. He rejected the flowers I gave him by saying that he didn't need to be pitied. Without wanting to know anything else, he left to leave me but I held him back. I grabbed her hand and forced her to accept my flowers.

"Think what you're thinking as you please" that's what I told him and took the phone in his hand. "Smile" I asked as I photographed her holding the flower. Then I took selca with him all I wanted to say if it was a bonus.

It was clear in the photo that he was very unhappy. My heart also hurt to see it. "From graduation, at least you should have 1 photo with someone. I'm not forcing you to keep it, but I hope you don't delete it" . I asked him to return his phone and then I left.

I can feel how desperate he was when he failed to get the scholarship. That means he has to fight extra again looking for part-time work to be able to finance school fees. But, what can a girl of her age do. At this point, there was nothing I could do but ask my father for help.

I asked my father to help him to go to a good school. Asking my father to help with his living expenses through my father's secretary whom Lucia knew was his father's best friend. My father agreed to it without asking why or refusing. I thought it was too easy to make it happen unconditionally, but it turned out I was wrong.

Instead, my father asked me to continue studying abroad. It was a difficult choice for me because it meant that I would no longer be able to see it or follow it as I have always done. There was nothing I could do but accept the deal with my father.

After a year abroad, I returned home to fill my long school break. I went to see my good friend David. Not only were David and I friends, but my father and father were also friends. David told me he had a woman he admired and David liked her a lot.

David asked me to meet because he was going to introduce me to the girl. What a fate I can't understand, the girl David wants to introduce me to is her, Lucia. I didn't expect that I would see him again in this situation. And it's hard for me to believe that Lucia doesn't remember me at all.

It seemed like back then he had completely erased my photo. Therefore he did not recognize me and only regarded me as a strange person who passed by like the wind. But, thanks to David I had the opportunity to formally introduce myself to him as a friend of David's, and we started to become as close as we are now.

I couldn't do anything or force her to remember me when my best friend told me she liked it. Yeah, let it all stay like this, I think it's best for all of us right now. I returned to finish my school but I still maintain good communication with Lucia and David.

In the third holiday season, I returned only to meet with Lucia. I didn't tell him I was coming back. I went to see him, but at that time I saw him get into trouble with some male students and a boy with a different appearance. The boy was the man who was currently her husband. The story of the Girl in the Ponytail, yes, I was there when Lucia and Rayn first met.

Still vividly remembered the incident and still vividly remembered if I was still a fool for just letting my legs not move, only my eyes were looking. That incident, I thought if it would just be a story then. But, I didn't expect that her meeting with Rayn back then would be the beginning of their destiny.

POV Author

Kelvin still looked at Lucia while recalling their true beginnings.

"Kelvin, I asked how and when did we first meet?" lusia asked a second time when she saw Kelvin just shut up without answering anything.

Kelvin breaks down a smile. "Before that, I wanted to know something from you. Did you really delete our photos? A picture of us both on your graduation day" asked Kelvin.

Lucia frowned, she seemed to be trying to make sense of her point. He thought if there must be something he missed. The look on Lucia's face suddenly changed like she had remembered something. "Wait, the boy who gave me flowers.. Is that really you?" ask Lucia who started to remember it.

Lucia was sorry if she was not completely unaware of it. He also complained why Kelvin had never told him all this time. Lucia explained that she could not remember well when her mind was not in a stable condition. At that moment her feelings were so chaotic that she could not remember the face of the boy who gave her the flowers. Lucia apologizes to Kelvin.

Lucia said if she did not delete it, then if only her phone was not damaged, maybe until now she would still keep the photo. And he could definitely remember Kelvin's face back then. "It turns out we've met since then" said Lusia lirih feeling guilty.

"Do you really think that my arrival at that time was just a coincidence?" ask Kelvin.

Lucia looked back at Kelvin. "What do you mean?" ask Lucia.

Kelvin brushed his hair and asked Lusia to look at Luka on her forehead. "You asked me how I got this wound" Kelvin said, then covered it with his hair.

Kelvin smiled as if he was recalling the moment. The wound is of course he can while helping Lucia from the attacks of the thugs who asked Lucia and her pregnant mother to vacate their house. Despite so much that Lucia should know, but Kelvin decides not to tell Lucia if it is the first time they meet the truth.

For Kelvin, everything he did for Lusia was enough for him to remember and keep it. There was no longer any reason for him to say everything now. Although so many left regret in every stupidity, but Kelvin was very grateful because at that time he was always there for Lucia.

"You're right, I asked you once, but you never told me how you could have that wound" Lucia said

"Emmm... Forget it..., it's all just because I'm not good at fighting" Kelvin said with a smile.

Kelvin grabbed onto both of Lucia's shoulders and stared at the two beads of the woman's eyes that were in front of him at this moment.. "Lussia, trust me. No matter what happens, I will always be on your side. About what happened to your father, I will never give up on finding out the truth. I'll make sure your father gets justice and can clear his name again. Lucia, if that time comes, I hope you don't give me that look anymore, smile at me. Give me the look of a jolly girl" Kelvin said with a heartfelt feeling.

Rayn who was still there, of course, heard everything. He just seemed to be holding himself back. He also did not expect if Kelvin has a story that is so deep with Lucia. Rayn then touched the scar scratches on her chin. Not only himself, but it turns out Kelvin also has something left behind in the story of his first encounter with Lucia. Although Kelvin did not say it directly to Lucia, Rayn was very confident and could understand it.
