CHAPTER 42 - For the Sake of Lucia

The day was getting darker, Lucia and other staff began to close the Friends Cafe. David's car is parked in front of the cafe in a condition that is still on. After closing the cafe, Lucia approached and knocked on David's car glass.

“What are you doing here?” lucy asked after David opened the windshield.

“I came to wait for you” replied David by getting off the car.

“Waiting me?” tanya Lucia pointed at herself. “Do you want to have a coffee for a while? I can open the back door” continued asked Lucia.

David refuses, he does not want to trouble Lucia by reopening the Cafe just to ask a few things about Reisa. Lusia then offers to go to another cafe that is open 24 hours so that they can talk comfortably there. David agrees and they leave in Lucia's car. David left his car at the cafe.

Lusia's phone kept ringing with incoming calls from Reisa. Lucia did not hear because her phone was still in vibrating mode inside the bag. Reisa keeps calling in the taxi, she is currently heading to the Cafe to meet Lucia. He always looked for Lucia if she had a hard time. Right now he is in a state of fear for his quarrel with David.

When he almost arrived, from a distance he saw Lucia about to get into his car. But it was seen if Lucia was not sitting in the steering chair. When the taxi he was riding right stopped in front of the cafe, Lusia's car had gone and he did not have time to call him.

Reisa gets off the taxi, she sees David's car parked in front of the cafe. Reisa tries to contact Lucia again, but Lucia still does not answer her call.

“Cafe is closed, why is David's car here?” ask in your heart and look back on the road. Reisa recalls that Lucia had just left in her car but was not sitting in the steering wheel, which meant she was with someone else.

“Could it be David?” continue to ask in your heart.

“Nona, miss, the bill” call the taxi driver to see Reisa who just stood by daydreaming after getting off the taxi.

“Oh, sorry. The cafe is closed, take me back pak” he said back into the taxi.

Along the way, he kept asking in his heart who was actually with Lucia. I even called Kelvin. Maybe if they were together. Reisa was already preparing to dial no Kelvin doubtfully, then she undoed her intentions.

“Aaa.. no. Stop thinking about the no-no Reisa. If you continue it means that you do not trust your friends and lovers” he said then resuscitated his head and closed his eyes. It was terbesit in Reisa's mind if the person who was with Lucia was David.

At the Cafe, David without further ado immediately sought information from Lucia about Reisa's reason for working at the restaurant. Instead of answering David's question, Lucia was surprised to hear what David said. He doesn't even believe it, because he never knows at all if Reisa has a part-time job.

“Are you sure? I really don't know it” replied Lucia still can't believe it. “Is your relationship with her okay?” tanyanya.

David tells Lucia that her current relationship with Reisa is not in good shape. He also explained his meeting with Reisa earlier at a restaurant where Reisa worked. In detail David tells of his quarrel with Reisa.

“Then you let him go?" lusia asked after listening to David's long explanation.

David lets Reisa leave him back then not because he doesn't care about their relationship. But he gave Reisa time to calm herself down. David did not want to force himself while Reisa was still covered in anger. Like the last time his quarrel with Reisa which will only make things worse.

“Reisa always told me if everything is okay. But, this is really not like him. I will contact him now” said Lucia by taking her phone.

“You don't have to do it. I'll ask him directly later. I didn't meet you to ask you to get involved in our problems. It's just possible you know something." David keeps Lucia from contacting Reisa.

David asks Lucia for help to tell him if Reisa has anything to say. He was worried that Reisa was currently in trouble that he wanted to bear alone. David apologized to Lucia if he had troubled her and then said goodbye. In fact, he refused the offer of Lucia who would take him home and chose to call a taxi.

Lucy walked to the car to get back home. For a moment he looked at his phone and found out that Reisa had contacted him repeatedly. He drives by and keeps calling Reisa back. Reisa did not answer his call.

After trying a few times Reisa finally answered her call. Hearing Reisa answer her call, Lucia immediately pulled over her vehicle. “Reisa, where are you?” ask Lucia.

“Lussia, sorry I just got a call from you” replied Reisa.

“Are you okay?" ask Lucia.

"You called me to ask me how I am? All of a sudden, what a longing for such nights" joked Reisa. "I forgot, did you call me because of my call? Sorry" continued.

"Are you really working part-time at the restaurant ?" asked Lucia in a serious tone.

"So it turns out that you were with David earlier" Reisa said in her heart and then fell silent.

"Reisa.." call Lucia who did not hear Reisa's voice.

"It looks like David told you, very fast” he said in a soft tone.

“Are you at the boarding house? I'll be there now” said Lucia.

“I'm still overtime” said Reisa quickly. He lied if he was already in the boarding house.

“Ok, if so I will go to your work place now” he said then hung up the phone and returned to running the vehicle.

"Ta... but Lusia..” said Reisa who did not have time to finish his speech Lucia had hung up.

Lucia had arrived in front of the restaurant where Reisa was working. The restaurant closed 2 hours ago. Lucia realizes that it just means Reisa lied to her. It was clear that Reisa was avoiding him. Lucia called Reisa back while walking in the car.

“I... I've got disni” said Reisa answering the call with irregular breath. He was standing right in front of Lucia's car.

“Oh that, yes I'm fine. I was already on my way home, but you said you would come here so I returned” he replied with a smile.

“Then, did you work in pajamas?” tanya Lucia saw Reisa wearing pajamas and sandals.

“If you depart from the boarding house after my call and come here by taxi then this is the right time for you to“ said Lucia, indirectly linking Reisa's lies.

“Haha, I'm so stupid” replied Reisa staring at herself with an awkward laugh.

“Come in, I'll take you home“ said Lucia by walking to get in the car. Reisa held onto Lucia's hand. “I'm sorry, you came here for sure because I was so worried about me” Reisa said.

“You came straight here with makeup like this, whatever because I was worried about ku” said Lucia sighed. He worries about Reisa, but also gets annoyed that Reisa is not being honest with him.

“I'm sorry.” Reisa just keeps apologizing with her guilt.

Lucia walked back to Reisa. “Why do you have an extra job without telling me? I know, you wouldn't have financial difficulties like me and working at a restaurant is not very suitable because it would be difficult for you" asked Lucia.

Lucia was very sure of that, as Reisa always complained if she had to wear heels all day while working at the Gallery. He is not very good at using kitchen equipment, not even good at cleaning.

For a girl who is always spoiled like Reisa, choosing to work in this place is very impossible if not for being forced. Lusia still remembers the struggle of Reisa when she survived working part-time at Cafe Kelvin.

Reisa. “It...” replied Reisa hesitate.

Lucia instantly realized something she had not thought of before. ”Don't tell me if you did it for me?” ask Lucia seriously.

“I hope this can help you” replied Reisa looking back at Lucia.

"Reisa's…. You don't have to do it. And..” said Lucia with eyes that began to glaze over.

Reisa approached Lucia and hugged her. “I'm sorry, I didn't tell you because I didn't want it to be a burden to you.” Answer Reisa.

Lucia returned Reisa's embrace. He brought down tears that he could not bear. “Why do you keep apologizing, I should be the one to apologize to you. I don't know if you're doing this for me. I was just busy with my own business” said Lucia by crying and hugging her best friend Reisa.

Lucia does not know if during this time Reisa decided to work extra to help him immediately pay off his family's debt. Lucia felt guilty for Reisa. While Reisa is going through a difficult time working at a restaurant, she is just busy with her work at Villa and even gets upset when she finds out that Reisa is lying to her.

“Then what is your relationship with David? Because of me, you and him.” asked Lusia to let go of her embrace looking at Reisa who looked down upon hearing it.

“It's not your fault, my problem with her has absolutely nothing to do with this" Reisa replied remembering that the biggest obstacle in her relationship with David was her mother's blessing.

“Don't worry, my relationship with him will be resolved on my own. In this case only we can finish it” replied Reisa helping Lucia wipe her tears.

“How can I not worry” Luisa said.

“Lussia, I realized otherwise it would probably continue to avoid it. So trust me” said Reisa.

Though still shrouded in guilt, Lucia tries to give Reisa time to solve her problems with David.

Why in Chapter 1 - Prologue?

Answer:

The author just wants to put it back where it belongs. hehe.

Because in the past Author up first BAB Prolog already with Visual characters. However, this is in line until Chapter 27 Author is removed.

So, for readers who have followed this novel from the beginning of the release of CHAPTER 1, may have had time to see the visual in the CHAPTER of Prologue.
