CHAPTER 68 - Not Wanting to Give Up

Lucia and Rayn enjoy their romantic morning activities by cycling. They're already in the back turn to Villa. Seen Dr car. Leona passed both. Dr. Leona stopped her car and went back and greeted Rayn and Lucia who she had just passed by.

“Hai, I feel something is wrong with my vision?” ask Dr. Leona sees the closeness of Rayn and Lusia. He felt that an unusual relationship had taken place between the two.

A boss piggybacking on his staff is not common if they do not have a special relationship aka lovers.

Lucia got off her bike and greeted Dr. Leona. Lucia became nervous, she was still not used to being in front of others about her relationship.

“Haha, just continue. I will be waiting for you at Villa” said Dr. Leona then returned to running her car.

“You don't need to panic, I will get you used to our relationship” Rayn said asking Lucia to climb back up and continue back to Villa.

"Our relationship?" tanya Lucia was ashamed in her heart.

They've returned to the Villa, Dr. Leona, accompanied by Mickey, speaks in the living room. Lucia served drinks to both, while Rayn was still cleaning herself.

Rayn was not long seen coming down the stairs to them. “Have not met for a long time, how are you?” ask Rayn to Dr. Leona. “Last time I didn't greet you properly” continued Rayn said recalling their meeting last time as she sparred with her father.

“As you can see, I'm fine. Don't worry about our last meeting” said Dr. Leona smiled.

Dr. Leona does not want to make small talk, he says directly his intention and goal to Villa looking for Rayn. He wanted Rayn to continue hypnotherapy treatment with him. He also wanted to hear about the trauma reaction Rayn had just experienced. Dr. Leona is convinced, if Rayn gets a piece of her memory again.

“I don't know how horrible that memory is, but I'm sure you can do it. Hypnotherapy is still safer than a direct reaction” says Dr. Leona.

“Intention?” cut Mickey. “Are you starting to get your memories back?” ask Mickey to Rayn.

“Remember that... like a nightmare” said Rayn with a serious face.

Rayn realized that right now Mickey was very curious and wanted to hear it. However, he still did not want to tell what he remembered. For him, before he confirmed everything, then what he remembered was not the time to be Mickey consumption.

Lucia approached Rayn, she tried to make Rayn to be more relaxed. “You okay?” ask Lucia.

“Rayn, I know but..” said Dr. Leona. He wanted to persuade Rayn. Not until he finished his words Rayn had cut him off.

“I'll do it” said Rayn surprised everyone, including Lucia who immediately turned to look at Rayn.

Rayn grabbed onto the hand of Lucia who was standing next to her. Slowly he clasped Lucia's hand firmly. “That hypnotherapy, I'll do it” continued Rayn.

Lucia looked at Rayn's hand that was holding her. He knew, right now Rayn also desperately needed his support.

“And I will always support you, whatever it is” said Lucia in her heart, she then smiled at Rayn and replied more tightly grasping Rayn's hand.

“Are you sure?” ask Mickey.

“Stop asking me things that can make me doubt and retract my decision” replied Rayn.

“Good, Rayn. You made the right decision” said Dr. Leona's trying to separate Rayn and Mickey's conversation. “You can trust me” continued Dr. Leona.

“I don't want to believe in anyone, I'll just believe in myself” Rayn said firmly.

“You're right” says Mickey.

“Regardless of the hypnotherapy reasons for my recovery, I will focus more on finding the facts behind the mystery of the accident and who the mother” killer was Rayn said in her heart by staring at Mickey.

“Treatment it, I want to do it here and you can send me a schedule. I'll see if I'll agree or not” Rayn's orders to Dr. Leona.

“Alright, I'll set it up and call you” said Dr. Lucia.

Dr. Leona decided to come back because she had something to do. Likewise with Mickey who also paid because he had to finish some of the work he had left behind. Mickey asks Arka to take extra care of Lucia and Rayn.

“I leave him to you” Mickey told Lucia who escorted him out of Villa.

“Do not worry” says Lucia.

Rayn's not in her room, Lucia puts Rayn's breakfast in her room. He then went to knock on Rayn's painting room door to tell her.

Rayn responded to Lucia's knock by saying her room door password was ‘158742’ which means she gave free access to Lucia. Lucia smiled then tried to enter the password and log in.

“I've prepared your breakfast in your room” said Lucia approached Rayn.

Lucia was silent when she saw Rayn sitting in front of the easel board seriously but it turned out that she did nothing, even she did not touch the painting equipment that was still neatly arranged in place.

Lucia touched Rayn's shoulder, and Rayn looked at her. “You forbid Mickey from asking, but I want to know to make sure you're okay with that. Are you sure you'll do it?” ask Lucia about Rayn's decision to undergo treatment with hypnotherapy.

Rayn was silent, she seemed to think for a moment. He hesitates whether he should tell Lucia about his mother's death and about Mickey. Rayn does not believe in Lucia, but she does not want to make Lucia worry about her.

As if she could read what Rayn was thinking, Lucia asked Rayn to always be open and honest with her.

“I know, you might hesitate to say all that for reasons you think are for my own good. But you need to know, I can judge what I feel. So, what you think is good for me will not always be right and good for me. I want you to always be honest with me about how you feel and whatever it is. Even if it hurts me, you have to say it. I don't want to be the only one who doesn't know, because I don't want to regret it later. Although it is good for me at the moment, but it can be a regret that torments me later. So, do not judge and decide for yourself what is best for me” said Lucia.

Rayn stared at Lucia. “You know, I'm getting scared of myself when I'm with you” Rayn replied.

“What are you afraid of?” ask Lucia.

“I'm afraid I can't control myself” Rayn replied smilingly and standing up to reach for her painting equipment.

"What's wrong with her? When I talk seriously, you perverted, Lusia grumbled at Rayn's reaction.

Rayn sat back down and grabbed onto Lucia's hip, bringing Lucia's body closer to her. Rayn looked at Lucia with a sweet look. “Are you not afraid if I attack you?” asked Rayn who was still embracing Lucia's hip and looking at her.

“No, I'm more afraid if I'm going to avenge your attack!” answer Lucia who follows Rayn's game. Rayn fell silent and let go of her embrace. He was surprised by Lucia's bold response.

“Why? Looks like you're the one who's nagging now” said Lucia saw Rayn take off her hip embrace. “I'm serious about what I said earlier, do you think I didn't know you switched our conversation by teasing me?” tanya Lucia went back seriously.

Rayn who was already in a position to scratch the painting stopped her hand movements. He took a breath and stopped him.

“You're right, I will do whatever I think is best for you. Without asking questions and without negotiating with you. You'd probably say if I was a bad guy or even you might hate me for it. But I will still do it, even though I will be the one to regret it later. I would still choose to be selfish by closing my eyes and ears to all your complications about why I wasn't honest or not telling you" Rayn said.

Rayn positioned her seat facing Lucia who was standing in front of her. He became more serious about continuing his words.

"That is me, who will always be at will with my decision. It was me who was always stupid to choose to get hurt and keep everything alone. It was me who chose to endure all that suffering because I didn't want my loved ones to suffer. And that's who I am sometimes a coward. Although I am such a person, are you..” continued Rayn, who was stopped because of Lucia's reaction.

Hearing all Rayn's words, without a word Lucia immediately approached and embraced her. Lucia's embrace momentarily silenced Rayn who had not finished speaking and was still about to ask him. Lucia hugged and drowned Rayn's head on her shoulder.

“Are you going to stay on my side by staying on my side?” continued asked Rayn in a soft voice in Lucia's arms.

“I will always be the one who will be at will with my decision. And my decision is to always be by your side. You may be selfish and act as you please. But, I know you did not do it to hurt but for the happiness of those you love, Lucia replied.

“I understand and I won't ask again. Because of that. let's do it. Hypnotherapy, let's do it together” continued Lucia.

Lucia still doesn't know if Rayn's mother died in an accident from being killed by someone who is still a mystery. However, he knew that Rayn had suffered a lot. Rayn must survive alone with a phobia that she has experienced for years. He misses family love like a normal life out there. However, he did not want to beg his father.

Lucia was the first girl who was able to make him open his heart. Rayn never dreamed of having someone who could fill her void. He had been friends with liquor.

Lucia's presence was like a boon to her as she was dealt a blow to the fact of her mother's death. And a fact that Mickey kept something from him. The fact is that someone he always relied on, someone he trusted, someone who had grown up with him with his mother's affection, was involved in the case.

“Thank you for being in my life. Without you, I might have run away and given up. Maybe I've lost and chosen the way to end my life to get to know it all.”

That was the expression in Rayn's heart as she returned Lucia's embrace. He decided to no longer give up and would open up those painful memories with Lucia. He would always hold onto Lucia's hand to be with him.
