I was worried when I saw Arjun's face turning pale as he entered the hall. His phobia of crowds relapsed again. Normally, I would hold her hand, saying everything would be fine. I didn't do it today. Arjun should be able to overcome his own phobia from this point on.
Sad to see her shaking from taking the antidepressant out of the bag, but I don't want Arjun to still rely on me. This farewell will be even more difficult if he still expects me to continue to overcome his hobby. God, why do I feel so hard to take it off. I just realized that this means Arjun to me.
Kulirik Arjun's face, already looks rather calm. Looks like the antidepressant has started working. The announcement from inside the hall had also been heard, instructing the entire student body to gather as the debriefing event was about to begin.
"Easy?" I try not to show my worries too much.
"It." He's nodding.
"We're in, yuk! The show's about to start."
I got up from my seat and saw Arjun trying to normalize his breathing. I could never see it hurt, but the reality we had to go through made me have the heart to ignore it.
After a few words of brief preamble from the field guidance lecturers, we were instructed to gather with the members of their respective working groups. I parted ways with Arjun. My work group got the location of KKN in one of the villages in Garut Regency, gathered in the middle of the hall. While Arjun was stationed in Bandung Regency, his group gathered at the corner of the hall.
When I glanced towards the place where Arjun's group had gathered, I caught a glimpse of the familiar female student's face nearby. Curious, many times I glanced towards the group of Arjun gathered. Trying to remember the face of the student who this time began to look familiar with the tall guy. There is a strange feeling that begins to feel in the heart, not usually Arjun can look familiar in a short time with women.
I tried to ignore, it could have been a student who was his classmate. After all, his world doesn't always have to revolve around me. And again, Arjun should have been looking for a friend other than myself.
Finish debriefing and get to know each other group members, the next agenda is to conduct a location survey. This afternoon, we had to go to Garut, to meet the village officials where we would hold KKN activities. I along with other members of the group moved to leave the campus in the car of one of my group's student members, Vanya—majasiswi MIPA faculty.
When the car I was riding through the parking area where Arjun parked the car, my eyes fell on the tall figure walking with the student I had seen in the hall. They look familiar. Again, I feel hurt. I don't know what for.
"Do you have an idea for our proker yet?" tanya Sheila one of my group friends—student of the Faculty of Medicine, who was sitting next to me on the back passenger bench.
"Eh, nanya to me?" I stammered, unprepared for the question I was asking.
"Yes, just daydream, the hell from earlier," kekeh the sweet-faced and brown-skinned student.
"Ha-ha, sorry! I still can't think about the program if you haven't seen the location," I'll give you an excuse.
"Yes, that's right, but there's a picture of not what will be done later besides teaching the children in the village?" tanyakanya. "If I am currently the most thought on counseling for sanitation," Sheila added.
"Wow! Cool, I've thought about the proker. I'm still blank" I said honestly.
The journey to Garut did not take long. Because on an ordinary day, this road is not too crowded with vehicles. After stopping for lunch at one of the restaurants on the road to the location, we continued our journey.
The village where we were going to hold the KKN turned out to be quite far from the main road. Even the road we went through was rocky and hollow. Many times the car driven by Vanya mired in a hole found in the street. At its peak, the car we drove was forced to be left on the road before entering the village, because of unfriendly road conditions for the Vanya car type city car.
In front of us were three cars parked on the side of the road. It seemed that the other group members had already arrived at the location first.
Getting out of the car, we were greeted by some villagers who had been waiting there.
"Punteun Teh, car mung dugi kadieu, teu tiasa ka leubeut," (Sorry kak, the car can only get here, the car can only get here, can not go inside) explained a young man with a strong and polite Sundanese accent. "Steak need not worry. Later there's a car guarding here," he added.
"Good, Kang. Hatur noahun." We answered simultaneously.
Our survey ended at half-five in the afternoon. After chatting with the Head of Desa–Pak Tatang, we decided to return to Bandung. Just next week we will implement the KKN program. The houses that we will occupy during the KKN period have also been prepared.
"Hi, Jun!"
"Still surveying?"
"Go back to campus. It's again at the gate, going home...."
"Where's the gate?"
"Near the mosque "
"Lo wait for me there, yeah! No need to take the Angkot. I'm going out of college again!"
"Oh! Ok."
I express my intention to dismiss Angkot. Step aside to the edge of the campus gate that began to desolate. Before long, Arjun's car came. I stepped closer to the lip of the sidewalk so that Arjun could see me.
I got in, after the car stopped perfectly in front of me.
"Hi, Run!" A woman's voice from the back passenger seat.
I turned, towards the origin of the sound. The girl I saw with Arjun this morning in the hall.
"Lo forgot, right?" This time Arjun commented.
"Leona!" I finally remembered the girl after seeing her smile. Even though his face changed, the smile remained the same.
"Ih! You guys are the same. Forgetting me." Leona put on a pouting face.
"Jun, I'm moving to the back" I said as Arjun pressed the accelerator.
"Eh? And I'm still your driver?" he half yelled when I jumped down.
"Suffering, Lo!" I was sitting perfectly next to Leona.
"Where are you going?" ask Leona, start a conversation.
"Eh, Arjun didn't tell me if I met you at Riko's boarding house?"
"Eh, story. I'm just busy going back to Jakarta."
"Oh yeah, Arjun had a story. Your mother's in Jakarta now, huh?"
"Yes, sorry. Not to forget, ha-ha."
My little reunion with Leona for a moment was able to put my problems aside with Arjun. Tonight, we continue this small reunion with a threesome dinner at a food stall in the Dago area. We exchanged stories about our lives after we separated.
