A wasted effort

Our marriage was counting the days. Nicko and I are still busy with our company. Mama and Papa have been so noisy remind us to rest a lot and take care of his marriage. But Nicko doesn't want to interfere with it, he accepts all of his parents' decisions and choices in preparation for the wedding.

At night I went to Nicko's room. Wearing my white baby doll pajamas and a panda in the middle, my hair unraveled and I wore white fluffy sandals, I entered her room without excuse. I saw him so busy sitting at his desk with his laptop in his presence. Nicko glanced at me for a while then he came back with his busyness. I walked up to him slowly and sat by the bed.

“What's up?” Ask her coldly.

I shut up for a moment and thought about what I wanted to say.

“In a few days we will get married, there is something I want to ask”

Nicko did not answer. It seems that he is not at all curious about what I want to say.

“What after we get married I can still work in your company?”

“Why?” Ask her without rejecting me.

“Do you want to change your position as director?” Nico.

I squinted my eyes looking at him in annoyance.

“Not like that”

“Then?”

“I just want to accept Papa's offer to work at Papa company located in Tangerang”

Nicko frowned with his hands still moving the mouse and his gaze did not come off to his laptop screen.

“That was Papa's offer before we decided to marry”

“Yes, but I'd love to be able to take care of that company Nicko”

“For what?”

“Yes I want to see my potential take care of a company again”

Nicko did not answer. I knew he wouldn't let me work alone.

“Come on Nick, let me hold Papa” company said I kept trying and begged him.

“The company is engaged in a different field to your current job Fawnia, I'm not sure you can handle her”

“I once held a company in the field of construction was when with Ben” I replied by having to bring up my past with so heavy mention of the name back in my mouth.

“And I am also experienced enough to be able to overcome the field of construction” said I continue to try to be a good consideration for him.

I stood up in annoyance, stared at her for a while then left her room with emotion. I closed Nicko's room door very tightly and stood in front of his room. I sighed so deeply, and came back disappointed that I did not manage to persuade her to work at Papa's company in Tangerang.

There's something I want in that company. Something that has always been my question, I should be able to work there, and be able to find out the answer to the question that always haunts me.

I went downstairs to meet Kara and Oma who were playing in the living room.

I sat on the couch and watched them smiling.

I'm thinking about my schedule and Nicko's tomorrow.

“Papa where?” Ask me.

Pa Bowo, Papa Ben. Why did Papa meet Papa Ben ?

“What business is it?”

I became anxious. I'm afraid the Ben family is talking a no-no about me, so I'm afraid that everything will affect our family company. I remember my conversation with Mama Ben a long time ago, and she said that Ben looked very stressed and very angry with both of them. I hope everything is okay, and my happiness starts soon.

The next day at the office. I went back to see Riri in her room for personal gain. Yes, these few days I've been in her room a lot, because there's something we're working on, something outside of our job. I shrugged my shoulders weakly.

“Gue doesn't know. But I have to be able to hold the company so I can meet the damn girl” said I looked at Riri with annoyance.

Yep. I had a chance to meet Sheilla, Ben's confidant who apparently destroyed my company. Because I still feel a lot of awkwardness with that bad incident.

I knew Sheilla from the first time I married Ben, and I saw her as such a good and trustworthy person. She even helped me out a lot about my pregnancy, she always told me that if anything happened to my stomach, Sheilla was such a loving and kind person. But after Ben Sheilla's death turned into a defect in my company, Sheilla's attitude seemed depressed and she did not look sincerely do such an unexpected thing. I'm sure something forced him to do that, but he didn't open his mouth at all, he ran away and left me alone with destruction.

I could have sued her, but I chose to shut up, and let her go. I let myself bear everything, I paid for all my losses and closed down Ben's little company.
