The consequences that exist

After taking a shower and changing into a babydoll dress for sleep I lay beside Kara who was soundly asleep. I was so upset, thinking about what the Kirana family and Nicko family were talking about downstairs.

I'm just waiting for Nicko. I couldn't sleep, I was curious and wanted to know what they were talking about. At first glance I would love to go downstairs and eavesdrop on their conversation, but it would be a shame if I was caught by them. I could only continue to worry on my bed.

The sound of the door opening, I immediately got up and looked at Nicko worriedly.

“How?” Ask me directly.

Nicko closed the door and walked up to me.

“Can I shower and change my clothes first?” Nicko Pinta.

Moments later Nicko came out of the bathroom in an ash-coloured plain shirt and long white pants. I can't wait for Nicko to sit on the balcony seat unable to keep still. It felt like so long after she took a shower, probably because I kept waiting for her to be finished soon.

Nicko finally came and sat down next to me. I confirmed my sitting position to immediately listen carefully to Nicko's story.

“How?”

“We agreed to cancel our wedding” Nicko said making me turn my eyeballs around.

“I already knew it would happen, but what reason did you guys tell Kirana to cancel your wedding?” Ask me with a curious face.

Nicko looked at me coldly, then he looked back to the front to tell a story.

A few moments ago in the living room.

After laying Kara on the bed, Nicko returns to the bottom floor to meet Kirana's family who he says have been waiting for Nicko from the afternoon.

“Hallo Pak Handoko, hello aunt” greet Nicko to two parents Kirana.

“Nicko has thalassemia, a disease my Papa has inherited and is now experiencing by Nicko, and it may happen to Nicko's child someday. Although the thalassemia disease that we experience is not dangerous, but still it is a disease right?”

“Thalassemia?” Kirana asked her parents.

“That's a blood disorder” Papa Nicko replied to Kirana's question that could not be answered by her parents who were still in shock.

“What disease can be cured?”

Mama Nicko smiled back at Kirana's question.

“If the disease can be cured, of course I will not lower it to Nicko” replied Mama kindly.

“I also used to, should always be in a blood transfusion every 2 months if you want to live a normal life, and now my thalassemia disease has been gradually to a better level to become thalassemia minor. And Nicko always had to get a blood transfusion at least 4 times a year, because the disease is handled faster than I. But still the disease has no cure to be cured total”

Kirana's parents looked silent and thought hard.

“Why did you guys just tell us about this? Why since the beginning Nicko never told my son or to us anything?” Mama Kirana tried to smile.

“Sorry Mom, it is not our intention to hide the disease we are experiencing, but I think, if Kirana is Nicko's soul mate, whatever shortcomings Nicko Kirana will accept her. I am mistaken, I should not be too confident to think you will accept the lack of Nicko with the airy after knowing the lack of Nicko. Mama who already knew about the Kirana family responders could only nod her head while smiling sweetly.

Kirana could only fall silent resignedly and followed her two old men standing up to go home.

“We excuse Mr. Rio, Ms. Shinta” said goodbye to both parents Kirana.

“Good Mom. Careful for you guys”

Kirana and her family left the house. And Kirana just kept staring at Nicko with fear, while Nicko just stared coldly at Kirana who went away from her house with their car.

Nicko breathed a sigh of relief then looked at the two of their parents.

“What will not have any effect with our company?” Nicko asked his parents, who were sitting in the living room, breathing with relief.

“Kara is more important for Mama” said Mama firmly.

“Yes, Mama's right. Papa does not care if Mr. Handoko will withdraw all the assets he keeps in our company, we can start again from the beginning and look for another co-worker”

“What's that easy?” Ask Nicko to his Papa.

“Papa wishes like that” replied his Papa with a doubtful face.

Mama stroked Nicko's hand gently.

Nicko looked so sad, yet she held back her tears, she hugged Mama and her Papa simultaneously so tightly.
