Love, Let it Get Lost

Love, Let it Get Lost
That feeling still exists

“Let's talk inside” papa Nicko's pinta while holding my hand, but I'm stuck in my place.

“But Nicko wants an important meeting with someone Pa” said I remember the order from Nicko earlier.

“Maybe he means the important man Papa” replied Papa with so much confidence.

I didn't answer him, and then followed Papa into his room.

When the two of us entered, Nicko immediately greeted his Papa by hugging him.

“Pa” greet Nicko.

“Hay Nak”

Papa let go of his embrace.

“turns out you asked Papa here to meet Fawnia?” Ask Papa while holding Nicko's back looking so happy.

Nicko just smiled pseudoly and looked at me who was still touched by Papa's presence.

Papa took me to sit on the couch to talk.

“Nak. Where have you been all this time?” Tanya Papa started interrogating me.

I looked at Nicko who was standing next to his Papa with a face that was so curious as well. I really mind Nicko hearing my conversation with Papa.

“Why stare at me?” Ask Nicko in surprise.

Papa Nicko looked at Nicko and understood what I meant.

“Can you come out for a minute?” His Papa Pinta made Nicko's eyes wide open.

“Exit from my own room?” Ask her.

Papa Nicko no longer had to ask twice to ask for her out. And Nicko stepped out of his own room looking a little upset but he stayed out of his room. And there's me and Papa Nicko here.

I sighed before I answered Papa Nicko's question.

“I'm sorry Pa. Do you know what Nicko looks like?” Say it with guilt.

“Nicko insisted on not getting married just because of his ego. I don't want to be a hindrance to Nicko's future, you guys have been too kind to take care of me until big like this. And I don't want you to be disappointed in Nicko just because Nicko has feelings for me Pa” I replied so painfully.

Now it's Papa's turn to sigh after hearing my statement that must have been known, only he would have wanted to hear it directly from my mouth.

“Nak. We do want the best for Nicko, but not in a way to get you out of the house. Papa is sure there will be other ways to make Nicko mature and can accept our decision, because what we do is certainly the best for him”

“But finally? Nicko still always denies you guys, right?” I asked so sure of my guess, seeing now Nicko was always stubborn.

“Yah. That's how his character is, it's hard to change. But you don't have to leave the house and disappear all this time, son. Mama is worried about you” too

I remember Mama. In the past, it was he who asked me to persuade Nicko to comply with his wishes. But I chose to leave, because I thought, only in that way could make Nicko no other choice but to obey the wishes of his parents, but it turned out to be in vain.

“How can you work here?” Ask Papa.

I'm confused as to what to explain to Papa.

“At first I didn't know if this was one of your companies, and I didn't know if the Director was Nicko”

“And if you knew from the beginning, you wouldn't accept this job?” Papa's guess is correct.

“Pa. I'm troubling you too much. You guys are gonna take care of me like this. I can't repay all your services to me, it's not my intention to not know myself, but I just want to be independent”

“Nak. Don't always say that. Your parents are very helpful to us too. He helped us make this company, he's the mastermind of it all. Supposedly with Papa take care of you until later, it will make Papa can reply all their services”

I cried remembering my parents. My parents and Nicko's parents have been friends for a long time, from they only have a small office until now they have a big company like this. And now the company has some spread in Indonesia.

“Go home, Son. We fix everything” I cried hearing Papa's wish.

I shook my head so bitterly.

“Can't Pa” said I make Papa confused.

“Why baby?” Ask Papa while stroking my head.

“I already have a child” answered me while smiling proudly in my grief.

Papa Nicko looked so surprised to hear her.

“I'm married” I continue still with a smile.

“You're married?” Papa Nicko asked so surprised.

I nodded happily.

“Then work where is your husband now?”

The look on my face turned grim considering Ben.

“My husband died when I was going to give birth to my son Pa, and I now live alone in an apartment”

Papa looks sad to hear my story

“Papa apologize dear. May your husband be calm there”

“Thanks Pa”

“Then your child lives alone when you work?”

“I hired a babysitter for her”

“Can Papa meet him?”

I'm glad to hear Papa's wish.

“Sure, I'll take Kara to meet Papa”

“Name Kara?”

“Ya Pa's. Caramel”

Then Papa laughed considering that it was me and Nicko so loved the smell of caramel since childhood. And he found my son's name so funny by naming him with my favorite scent and Nicko. We laughed together happily.

And then the chaos came back to disturb my mind.

Kara's gonna meet her opa. Is this a good idea?

After our long conversation was over. Papa says goodbye to me and Nicko is still in his room.

“Papa go home first Son. Keep Fawnia here Nicko lest we lose her again”Papa's request to Nicko.

I could only look down sorrowfully at Papa's request who seemed to no longer want to lose me.

He said as if my departure was the biggest problem for them. Nicko just silently glanced at me who was bowed.

“Faw” Papa Nicko holds both my arms and stares at me so deeply.

“If there is anything immediately contact us. Don't disappear again, we're tired of looking for you”

I smiled so sad to hear Papa Nicko. And nodded very slowly to him.

“Papa go home first. Take good care of yourself”

“Good Pa” answer me.

“Until we meet again Fawnia”

“Until we meet again Pa”

And Papa Nicko came out of the room followed by his aide who had been standing since earlier in front of the door.

Now I'm both in this room with Nicko. And to prevent awkwardness, I immediately went out to leave her but Nicko pulled my hand so quickly.

I flinched in front of Nicko and looked into Nicko's eyes in confusion.

“You heard right?” Nicko asked so closely that he spoke in front of my face.

“We've been very tired looking for you”

Then I looked at Nicko with his slack. Like I'm lazy to hear that shit.

“O yes?” Say it with a ketus.

“I guess you've just forgotten me. Because I thought, you're happily married to the woman of your choice my parents” ledek made him stare at me sharply.

Nicko's hand was still holding my arm so tightly.

“You're talking about me? Or talk about yourself?” He was talking about my marriage to Ben and me.

I stared at Nicko. If only he had known the biggest reason I did it all, Nicko would have been so shocked and wouldn't have believed it.

“Have I wanted to go back to work” said I was trying to let go of my hand. But Nicko even tightened his grip on my wrist and pulled me tight so that it hit his body.

I was surprised and looked at him so close. But this time my heart pounded so fast, I was surprised to be able to look back at Nicko's face at this close distance again.

“Listen” her ink made me sharpen my hearing.

“My marriage never happened Fawnia, even until you left me, it never happened until now” Nicko said so keenly looking at me.

“Even the feelings I have for you, are still stored neatly in my heart until now” further makes me stunned, but I immediately remembered something.

I stared at both eyes with a smile as if I could not believe what he said, Nicko forgot one thing.

“Kirana” said I was so short but made Nicko frown.

“You have an appointment to meet Kirana now”

Nicko was confused by my words. And sure enough Kirana just walked into my room and almost caught me this close to Nicko.

I immediately let go of Nicko's grasp and moved away from him but remained standing before Nicko, staring at Nicko who was suddenly clumsy.

“Ferdyy” exclaimed Kirana before she saw my whereabouts here.

I looked at Nicko with a stare so twisted as if my gaze said ‘Because you’

“You?!” Kirana asked after she saw my whereabouts standing in front of Nicko.

“What are you doing here?” Ask Kirana.

I turned my body around and smiled so sweetly at him.

“I'm at work, Ms. Kirana. My work is done. Excuse me Ma'am, excuse me Mr. Ferdy” said I cynically when saying his name with emphasis. Then I came out of the room and passed by Kirana haughtily.
