Chapter 89 Mathew's Stupidity
From a certain point of view , Matthew is a strict person . He managed to transfer 70% of the subsidiary company to Zayn within two days due to the blind trust John had in him.
Zayn has learned his lesson. He immediately chewed every piece of meat he ate.
Matthew is still moving the business with all his efforts, afraid John will find out if he moves too slowly. John found out when he came to check the account that afternoon. Now that most of the subsidiaries have been sold, they should have a significant report.
But it turns out , the account is empty! Not a single cent of the sales of their subsidiary business has been spent.
John immediately called Matthew into his office to ask about it . When Matthew realizes that he can no longer hide it, he tells the truth to his father , adding at the end of , “ Father , don't worry. Zayn said that he would let us know that the company returned to us after this had passed. I will start the new Odello Corp then and the assets will remain ours . The Odell family will remain rich ! ”
“ Rich, rich , rich . . . With glaring eyes, John got up and pointed a finger at Matthew . He wanted to say something but his tongue did not seem to follow his mind as he could only tremblingly eat the word "rich " . ”
He felt like something was gushing into his chest. It was blood and he could not stop it. A moment later, he spewed out a large mouthful of blood before his eyes spun backwards and he fainted.
Matthew , whose face was covered in blood , was startled and only recovered after about ten minutes of seconds .
“ Father . . . Dad, what's wrong with you? Daddy ! ”
When John opened his eyes again 1 o'clock in the morning . Lying in a hospital bed, he turned his head to the side intending to look for Matthew or even Neve. He wanted to ask even though he knew the odds were practically zero, he wanted to ask if Zayn had already paid.
John was disappointed. Matthew and Neve were nowhere to be seen. Jade was the only one sitting next to the table with her head resting on her palm as she slept. The sight of his wisest grandson, even though he was a child made John suffer.
“ Jade , I'm sorry. Grandpa wrong. I have done wrong to you . . . ”
Whether it was because of John's sobs or a nod that was too loud because he was asleep, Jade woke up.
“ Grandpa , you're up. ”
John doesn't want to talk about it. He just wanted to apologize to Jade .
“ Jade , I'm sorry. I shouldn't have lied to you or kicked you out to secure your uncle
“ I just think that your uncle is a man and can sustain the effort for the rest of my life, when you are a woman who will only take Odello Corporation and leave when you get married and give it to someone.
“ But I have ignored your uncle's stupidity. He's desperate... ”
John was filled with regret . _ If he knew that this was how they would end up, he would never lie to Jade. But there is no cure for or regret . No matter how pitiful he was, it was a waste.
John wanted to say more but Jade shook her head . “ Grandpa , stop talking. Just rest and heal yourself! "
There are no tears. She cried enough when she was lied to. When he thought about Odells, all Jade felt was despair. He wouldn't have come if it wasn't for him remembering his grandfather who had taken care of him, which seemed to Jade was the most precious thing during his childhood .
John knew that it was pointless for him to say anything else and decided to ask about Matthew and Neve instead.
“Both have fixed things with Zayn. Zayn Dunham has cut off all contact with Matthew after learning that you are hospitalized .
“ At the moment, Matthew is already aware that he has been cheated and will meet Zayn to question him about it. ”
John honestly didn't know what to say when he lay in bed . In the end , she sighed sadly, “ She's a lost child . . . ”
As a filial act on behalf of her late father, Jade pays the fee and arranges for Catherine to accompany him.
A home hospital needs to be contacted and procedures for medical travel must be arranged in order for John to receive treatment abroad , but the process turned out to be faster than a regular hospital transfer because Javier did it efficiently. At noon the next day, John was sent away.
